I’m not sure when I should write the Lsat? I’m working full time and my aim is 2 hours a day (14 hours a week). I was aiming for April, and I would be able to take two weeks off ahead of the test. Or should I aim for June in which case I could probably take closer to 2 months off?

Or should I write in April, and keep peeping for June while waiting for the result?

Thoughts….

Trouble with LSAC Account

Hello everyone!

When I started with 7Sage I recall making a LSAC account and perhaps paying some additional money through 7Sage to LSAC get access to official test questions and such. However when I now attempt to log in to my LSAC account to link it to my 7Sage account, it tell me that there is no account associated with my email address.

Anyone have a solution or any insight?

Thanks!

I am anxious to see my LSAC GPA, the 7sage calculator shows a substantial increase because of my community college grades. This new GPA opens up doors that were otherwise closed. I don't want to get my hopes up until I see the academic report. I don't plan on applying until October 2024. All I have sent are my transcripts could I still purchase CAS??

Guys, I am freaking out. I took the Nov. 9th LSAT at a test center, and used my military ID with no issue. It is my only photo ID that has my married name on it, since I just legally changed my name a few months ago. Since I didn't actually test virtually, I wasn't aware that I can't take a picture of my military ID that has my legal name, so I had to submit a picture of my license for writing-- which has my maiden name on it. I created the account with my maiden name (literally in my username), and since I am in another state for military for another year, it is almost impossible for me to go back to my home state just to change my dl. My passport says my maiden name too, since I got it in 2019; my passport and license don't even expire for several years. I emailed LSAC a picture of my mil. ID anyways because I am so worried and upset that my writing might be cancelled or hinder my test because of this small discrepancy. Has anyone had a similar situation? What should I do? The LSAC rep. I just spoke to was rude and unhelpful. I really hope the email with my other ID will be enough; I legit still have my old SSN too with my maiden name. Ugh!

First Gen: 135 to 170

Hi guys, I'm a first-generation student. I took a diagnostic the other day and scored 135 (without any prior studying). Although I've been feeling discouraged, I am giving myself 6 months before I take my first real LSAT. Is it possible to expect/score this high with this amount of time? Do you guys have any tips for self-studying?

Hello I was wondering what other people have done to improve logical reasoning and reading comphrehension I have been stuck at the same score for a long time and I don't understand what I may be doing wrong anyone have tips for when they got stuck? I am taking the august lsat so no logic games.

Hi everyone! I just wrote the November LSAT, and after 5 months of religiously studying I unfortunately feel like I didn't do the best... I am planning to sign up for January or February LSAT, In hopes of applying for the fall 2024 cycle. I really didn't want to have to wait another cycle! Is taking the February LSAT too late to apply? I hear mixed opinions, and all the schools I'm applying to priority deadline is March 15. I really wanted to have my LSAT scores and apply before Christmas but I'm afraid I'm looking at other options. Your input would be greatly appreciated!!!

So today I took my LSAT Writing and felt so lucky with the prompt I got. However, a bit into writing, I realized my grammarly extension was on and I accidentally opened one of the suggestions.. I avoided it for the rest of the exam, but now I'm worried my sample is going to be flagged and cancelled because it'll consider it cheating. This was my first time using proctorU and unlike proctortrack, it didn't tell me which softwares to shut down before the test, so I didn't even think about it. I'm so upset because I got so lucky with my prompt and now I'm thinking I'll likely have to write it again. Does anyone else have any experience with this happening? if so, what happened?I

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. My test is on Friday the 10th and I'm at the point where I think I'm experiencing burnout. I started a PT today but have no motivation to finish it. I'm PT'ing around where I want to be but the test I'm doing right now is not going well. What's the best approach before my test on Friday. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

LR Section Review 11/10

Hey all,

My internet cut out the last 30 seconds of our LR section review. Apologies for the confusion it caused anyone. In any case, thanks for all in attendance and see you guys next week!

P.S. I'm still looking for cat name suggestions.

I've been putting in so many hours and the progress is slow, I'm going to say its THERE, but slow!! And that's the challenge to push through the slow progress, because it's easy to get distracted. I have multiple crying sessions throughout the week while studying for it, I'll just have mini breakdown every couple days. How is this journey affecting you? Does anyone else have crying sessions while studying for the LSAT? LMAOO. For me, time is such a killer, I feel like only adding 10 mins to the exam would make me do so much better.

I have been studying for about three weeks now and feel like it is still slightly ineffective to take a PT each week this early and would benefit more from getting through most of the lessons initially. I took two diagnostics so far and feel as though not having really viewed each section, yet my score is most likely not going to improve. I know the benefits of blind review but would have to imagine taking a test each week after not enough practice is not going to yield as much growth opportunity as studying for maybe the first month or so. By the way I have a target test date of April but may push to June depending on how I am scoring on PTs when I get closer to that date.

Hey, so I just wrote my written section, and I hadn't even thought about this as something that could happen, but my Grammarly was on and making suggestions. I ignored it as best as I could, but I was FREAKING OUT. Will my writing sample get rejected???

I am scheduled to take my first LSAT this weekend. I can't seem to break a 150, however, and am thinking that I definitley will need to retake it in January. I want to get my applications in before the end of the year, which is why I am conflicted about taking the LSAT in two months. Because my UGPA is way lower than I'd like it to be, I want to show law schools a higher score, though, and feel like that should take priority.

I have been studying for months now and I feel like I have hit a plateau, which is pretty discouraging. If anyone has advice or has been in a similar situation, I'm all ears. Thank you!

Hi! So I am planning on taking the August lsat because I have decided to not study LG anymore, as it was my weakest. I am about 80% done with LR and then have all 77 RC lessons, which I don't expect will take more than a month or two. Obviously, I have a long time to study, but I know that the drilling sessions and PT sessions are meant to be taken after you complete all the lessons. I do not want to waste clean, unused material before I can make the most of it (aka, until I've done all my LR and RC lessons). However, on the other hand, I want to make sure I am practicing enough without JY's help always being available. I also want to test myself on the LR typesI learned weeks ago.

My question is - should I not be creating drills (other than the "you trys"and drills at the end of each lesson set) until after I have completed all my lessons, or do you recommend doing some infrequent drilling on question types I'm not doing well on? My fear is that since I have given myself ample study time, I want to save as much material as I can for when I really am trying to master my skills, not build them.

Would love to hear other people's study patterns and whether or not they go through the entire syllabus before using the drill or PT pratice options.

Thanks all! good luck with your studies

edit - I should note that I am working full time as a paralegal on top of studying, so although I have until August, I am only devoting between 1-3 hours a day and sometimes I do not study on the weekend much.

Hi all,

I finally took LSAT writing today. I took the August LSAT and tried to take LSAT writing for the first time a few days after the August exam, but technical difficulties prevented me from doing so. I think I thought it was okay to use Google Chrome, which apparently it isn't. Then, a few weeks later I tried taking it again (I waited a few weeks because it wasn't a huge priority for me to complete LSAT writing asap), but as I tried to test whether my computer was compatible with LSAT writing's online proctoring requirements, I got hacked. I then spent a week dealing with that.

Finally, I think I took LSAT writing today, but I'm not certain the exam was submitted. This is for a few reasons.

Under the status column on the LSAT writing page of LSAC, it says "Exam Initiated" rather than something like "Exam Completed."

Right after the last second elapsed during the exam, the webpage containing the prompt and text box immediately went away and seemed to be replaced by a screen that said something like "There was a problem" and some other text. I waited for about 20 seconds to see if this would change but it didn't. So, I tried refreshing the page. I think after that it went to a page that said the LSAT writing sample was submitted, but honestly I can't remember exactly. I'm concerned that this screen that said "There was a problem" means that, even after taking the 35 minute exam, it somehow wasn't registered or something.

I read on the LSAC website that after one completes LSAT writing, one will be able to read one's answer. Because I don't see any link that enables me to do that, I'm afraid my LSAT writing exam was not ultimately submitted.

Does anyone think they know what the deal is? Needless to say, I am extremely frustrated by how many times I have had to try to take LSAT writing. I hope I don't have to try a fourth time. Thanks a lot!

I took my first diagnostic LSAT in 2019 and got a 151. Last week I opened my LSAC account to see my final score from my third take: 171. To say I'm ecstatic is an understatement. It's been a long, long journey to get here. Through battling an anxiety disorder and, until recently, undiagnosed OCD. Through working multiple jobs at once and trying to study in my down time. Through navigating the normal ups and downs of life. It has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. It took one year of procrastination, two years of on and off studying, and one year of dedicated, give-it-everything I've got studying to get here. And you can do it too! Don't worry about other people's timelines, their successes or failures. Focus on your goal and work tirelessly to get there. I believe in you just as much as I believed in myself!

Thank you 7sage for my first introduction to the LSAT, for walking me through conditional logic, diagramming, and question types. Oh, and for your stellar logic games curriculum. Saved my life. Thank you to LR Perfection to finally getting me consistently scoring -0 to -5 on LR sections. Thank you to Powerscore for their LR discussion forums and their podcast. Thank you to this community and the LSAT subreddit community for answering questions, alleviating fears, and encouraging me to keep going. And thank you to me, for sticking with it.
