this section has been beating my ass constantly i feel like a dead horse
i was breezing through the previous questions and was like give me a hard Q already and then we got a hard Q... i had to take a moment of silence after this one
@DeborahAdel so humbling, esp after going way over the goal time😭
this is clicking nicely and it is such a nice change of pace from where i previously felt like i was learning a whole new language (and was awful at it lol)
I'm realizing how that i actually am pretty decent at solving the problems but my issue is i keep rushing bc im worried about time!! during BR when i intentionally take the time to carefully read through each Q i can pick the right answer 9/10 ugh i need to slow down
this is clicking intuitively way more easily!! it's almost fun to learn
@Andreyd0925 i also had the same line of thinking and am still confused :(
this seems to be one of the (few) lessons i have been able to do well on intuitively!
@danjpeach96 I think both of the claims "some pilots are blind" and "one can be a pilot and blind" both actively show how the claim "no pilots are blind" can be false! say if you are claiming that "oh, no pilots are blind" and i say "actually i know someone who is a pilot and blind" then i am directly refuting your claim (and also negating it!). That possibility of even one person being a pilot and blind negates the claim that no pilots are blind! i hope this makes sense :)
@Daniel.p3raza i don't think the wording of the lawgic needs to be as it is written in the lesson verbatim; as long as you get the idea and get the variables right, that means you are understanding and are doing them right!
5/5 oh my god it is finally clicking; my every brain keeps kicking in halfway through while my lsat brain is processing things and ive gotten better at turning that part off and staying true to what i am learning
@ahuang for ur second question, i think even the sentence "jane is a faster eater than mary or jon" is still the first usage (inclusive or) bc nowhere does it explicitly say that jane cannot be faster than both (or that the two are mutually exclusive); it simply says she is faster than mary or jon. and if i understood this correctly, then we always should assume that "or" refers to the inclusive or, unless stated otherwise! a tad bit confusing but i hope this helps!
i had to close my eyes and take a moment after this one
5/5 i finally feel like im understanding this portion now, i was doing so poorly before but i sat and obsessively did a shit ton of problems
the end LMAOOO😭 anyway, im feeling better and better about these! it's getting easier to automatically translate
these fuckass memes are getting me through this fuckass test i love them
can someone explain why it is simply not "cat likes milk" in the last example?
5/5!!! the first four were pretty smooth and i spent a few minutes on the Q5; i was able to easily note that the sentence 1 was the context and that sentence 3 was a premise. i was torn between sentences 2 and 4 for the main conclusion.
i recognized that this was a premise+conclusion type of sentence, which are my weak points. however, the phrase "but this is not a sustainable, long term solution" pertains to ONLY the first sentence talking about the food waste storage methods. sentence 4 offers a solution (in the form of a conclusion) to the overall problem, which is that they should just overall stop producing the food waste to begin with.
this sentence addresses all of the previous sentences and takes support from them, which is why sentence 4 ("they should stop producing food waste and shut down operations immediately" is the main conclusion!
@SofiaFuentes SAMEEE!
