Wow, I'm actually in a very similar situation to you. 21 as well, I PT in the mid 170's, but sadly got a 163 on the September LSAT (that was a rough morning). My goal is T14, Chicago. My parents are also pushing me to apply this year, really no matter what. So for them, November is my last chance.

The way they look at it is that, starting a year in advance puts you a year ahead of the 'competition.' I find myself agreeing with them. But, I do feel that difficulty between my personal goals of T14 and applying this year.

I don't know if I have much advice, but your parents most likely have reasons like you do. Maybe an in between path of taking the November test and seeing if you can get into T14 with that score. If not, then try again next cycle. Happy to talk about this though, very similar situation we're in.

It’s usually pretty quick, it’s all electronic. But since you’re up against a deadline, I’d say you should just call the school’s admissions office and let them know you just submitted your app for ED and wanted to double check they have everything they need since today is the deadline.

Ok, thanks so much. I'll give them a call.

Help with CAS being processed by school

I have an early decision deadline tomorrow. Yesterday, I sent in all my application materials. Also, my CAS (law school report) has been complete for awhile on the LSAC website. Additionally, it says that LSAC sent my CAS report to the school last night. Does anybody know how long this process takes, that is the process of LSAC sending it and the school updating my application with it? I ask because my application needs to be complete by tomorrow. Stressed out, thanks in advance for any help.

In the meantime if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to go over some PTs. Eager for this group collaboration, the LSAT is not ready for it.

In case anyone wants to BR together, I'm going to take a PT tomorrow and BR on Saturday. PT72-50 are still undone for me, so I could do any of those tomorrow. Let me know.

No, the last question for real LR with 25 questions was about home invasions/alarm systems

I had three LRs and need to know which was real. For anyone that had two LR sections, in the LR with 25 questions (or do you remember in either) was the last question about acid on the skin?

That is a huge relief, thank you for replying.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they lost traction and intensity that you had leading up to the September exam, spent all your energy on the week of the test, gave your best on test day, and now the drive + motivation is somewhat defused? I can't seem to pick up my pace again (and it's been almost 3 weeks already).

If anyone is going through the same phase, please let me know you're out there! Feels like I just went through an intense break-up and in dire need of SOME closure (aka September score).

*pulls hair

I'm absolutely with you on that sentiment. I can't find the motivation to study, which is odd. Because after the July LSAT, I was ready immediately to study again. But, this time I feel like I need my score before I can apply myself to studying again. Only a few more days, we can do this!

Yeah I’ll swap with you. I just finished my first draft as well, DM me.

I feel your pain. I was going to register today, just one day off. I called them and they said there are no exceptions to the deadline, as others have said. There is a silver lining: more time to study. In case you're eager to apply as early as possible, there is an international test on October 6th in Europe. That's what I'm going to do, haha.

Does anyone remember the order of the RC passages? Keep seeing different orders from people recapping the test and it's making me nervous. I remember:

Two concepts on women's rights

2/3: Belize/Sports and art (can't remember which was second/third)

4: Complexity Theory

I remember sports/art 2nd (I'm confident on the sports one, because I remember being surprised that the comparative passage was 2nd) and Belize 3rd.

I don't really remember the Belize passage at all though. Yet RC felt good, hopefully makes up for my lackluster LG performance.

@ Yeah, though the June Group is the later PTs. I don't mind waiting and doing solo PT on my own until the September groups starts up. I'm doing one a week and am currently on 42 so I'm not too far into the PTs, yet. And, if the group does do them in increments of 5, I can join in at PT 50 or so.

I've been doing 1-2 (typically 1) PT a week so for September. I'd definitely be interested. One BR call a week sounds good, now that means one PT a week right? If so, there's about 20 weeks until the test. We could get 19 or so BR calls in, not bad.

Goodluck everyone! Let’s go get what we’ve worked hard for. This is just another PT similar to the ones we’ve been doing for months!

I'm also taking the July test and took an 8 point dip the other week. I came back after it to my average though. I'd think about anything you did differently that day and try to eliminate it, maybe lack of sleep or something else. You have more reason to think you score in the high 160's than high 150's. Just one time out of many high 160's. I realize it's discouraging though.

As annoying as it sounds, it's a good learning opportunity. There is more to learn from -20 than -5.

Does anyone know which LR is experimental for this sequence:

LR(26)-RC-LR(26)-LR(25)-LG

Thanks.

Some are saying the 1st section, others are saying the 3rd section (2nd LR). I also read even if you have the same sequence, the experimental can be in different spots.

Ah, I see. That was my only hope of figuring out which LR is experimental. I can't remember which section had what questions, too many questions. Only LR question I remember for sure is that Section 2 had a difficult disagree question about pharmaceutical patents, early question too. And so, the wait begins...

My only concern is that I'm taking the September LSAT within a month and I'd rather put my limited time into studying rather than writing a rush-job preliminary PS to send to my LORs. (Thanks for responding btw) But I'm wondering if I should just get on that PS now rather than later...since I do think I'll probably have to submit my entire app in early December. I'm still kinda shooting for November if I can get the score I need for the September LSAT...but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get that score in September....

Yeah, I can definitely see your point. Maybe if you did an extra 30 mins a day on your PS and don't change your LSAT studying at all, you could get more done than you might think. Just an extra 30 mins tacked on, so not a massive commitment. See how far you get by mid August and then decide how much extra time you need. By then, you'll know what writing it will be like too.

I'm in the same boat as you, applying this cycle and just asked for my LORs. I'm wondering how time sensitive these LORs are for you, are you applying in December or trying to get the early application boost?

From my view, recommenders are going to draw from your PS to talk about whatever is unique about you. I'd imagine those larger ideas would already be there in an early draft, even if it isn't your best writing yet. So, I would go ahead and send them it sooner than later.

They are the actual ones, no need to purchase them on another site. Even the drills in the Core Curriculum are real questions.
