You read that right.

Our very own @"J.Y. Ping" will be hosting BR Group for PT50 on Sunday. Appropriately, this is the very LSAT JY took back in September 2006. So it's all coming full circle.

You obviously don't want to miss this.

Sunday, May 8th at 8PM ET: PT50

United States +1 (571) 317-3112

Access Code: 219-480-381

Note:

  • For everyone: take the PT under timed conditions; BR as you are able on your own; then join us for all or part of the call—everyone is welcome.
  • Note: For the purposes of the call, we like to check our group blind review score together at the very end of the call :) So at least don't say ... "No guys, really, it's D, I checked it.” KEEP THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOURSELF. Win the argument with your reasoning.
  • These groups work best when folks from ALL stages of prep and with all different goals join in! Not just for "super-preppers" and definitely not just for the casual LSATer (does such a person exist?).
  • The only expectation anyone has for these calls is for you to have fun and ask questions as you desire. We are just a bunch of LSAT lovers who gather via GoToMeeting and intellectually slaughter each test.

    Hey y'all,

You asked for it. So now you're getting it. Here's the BR Group Calendar, including June-oriented (but open to all) dates as well as dates leading up to the September test: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=7sage.com_ft05lsm54j4ec1s6kj1d1bbpv0%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Chicago

Note: I know there was talk of y'all doing this on Sundays, but Saturdays have been a mainstay of 7sage BR Groups since their inception. There are many reasons why it should be Saturday and not Sunday—not the least of which is the fact that people have work on Mondays and BR Group calls often go late into the night ;) However, there will be Sunday dates until the beginning of June so as to accommodate folks who are taking it in June as well as Sept.

And don't forget that BR Group calls will be GUIDED by a Sage on Saturdays until further notice (at least into May).

    8

If you're serious about the LSAT*, then you'll take advantage of this amazing opportunity!!!

    SeriousAboutLSAT-->TakeAdvantageGuidedBRGroup

Do the logical thing and join us this Saturday!

*Unless you're not in the PT phase yet. That would be illogical, to join us if you're still in the curriculum ;)

Be logical like this guy ...

    ...Not illogical like this guy.

    Hey folks—

Seeing how almost all of the participants in the June BR Group have defected (wisely) to September, we are going to be merging the BR Groups and doing away with the month designations all together.

Moving forward, there will be ONE BR GROUP TO RULE THEM ALL. A unified and delightful congregation of folks.

The next 3 weeks will have guided BR calls with Jimmy, each Saturday at 8pm ET. I propose that those weeks cover PT's 69, 70, and 71. If there is participation and interest in having BR calls on these later tests, we will continue covering the 70's up until the June test.

Meanwhile, the new unified BR Group will start holding regular session in a couple of weeks. Folks have already been discussing the schedule, and I encourage everyone who is taking the test, whether June, Sept, or thereafter, to join in on this group.

Please voice your enthusiasm or concern in this poll and/or in the comments below.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in our Sept BR polls! At this point we've got more votes than people who have expressed interested, so I feel confident the vote is in! We didn't reach much of a consensus on most items, so one more round of runoff voting and we should have everything nailed down and can release the official schedule. So here's the new polls, and as always, please feel free to tag anyone I missed or who you think might be interested.

    Hello September LSATers!

I am very excited to be assisting @bjphillips5 in leading the September BR group, and as it is getting about that time, we’d like to reach out in order to get some feedback from the group on things like what days and times are best for people. We’ve got a diverse geographic spread, so we want to be able to accommodate everyone as well as possible.

So our first question is when to begin. The sooner we start, the more time we’ll have to schedule breaks for holidays and things. A later start will give those who need it a little more time to review curriculum. As a reminder here, everyone works at their own pace, and no one should feel any pressure to rush themselves to begin PTing before they are ready!

Secondly, I believe we’ll be able to follow Benjamin’s excellent tentative schedule with little change, we just need to figure out how best to structure our meetings throughout the week to best accommodate everyone. The scheduling must conform to the following rules:

The group may meet on Saturday or Sunday but not both.

If the group meets twice on weekdays, the group does not meet on Wednesdays.

The group does not meet on consecutive days.

If the group meets on Saturday, it does not meet on Monday or Thursday.

If the group meets on Sunday, it does not meet on Tuesday or Friday.

Last, what times work best for people? Weekdays will be more restricted, but on the weekends I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t meet at 4am. Just kidding, but weekends will be generally more flexible, so I’ll attach one poll for weekdays and another for weekends.

That’s all for now! I’m tagging everyone who has expressed even tentative interest, so do them polls y'all. Please tag anyone I missed or that you think might be interested.

Hello everyone, I wanted to see if there was anyone studying for the LSAT in Vancouver, BC that was interested in meeting up sometime. I know there was a meet up recently; unfortunately I had plans that evening and was not able to attend. I think it would be nice to meet some Vancouverite 7Sagers. I don't know anyone studying for the LSAT in my area, and I think having a support group would be a great idea!

So I scored a 151 on the Feb LSAT; I did about 11 weeks of self prep with moderate effort. I admit, the LSAT was tougher than I expected, and that's why I'm here. I know that many people prep for the LSAT for months, and sometimes years. This is just not realistic for me. I'm curious, in this community's opinion, what amount of time do I need to dedicate to raising my score into the mid to high 150s? Really aiming for a 157. I know LSAC says their data indicate that most 2nd timers improve 2.8 points, and 3rd timers 2.2, on average. I'm looking to realize those improvements on my second run. Thanks for your input.

You can also dial in to the BR call by using your phone.

    June BR Group Schedule: http://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/6171/june-test-takers-group-br-schedule-updated

NOTE: I front-loaded the PT 70 - 75 because I believe that people need to get eyes on 70s sooner rather than later. We’ll still have PT 76 and 77 available to PT in May. Trust me when I say it is worth it to do these tests twice. And if you don’t feel comfortable hitting the 70s yet, don’t worry. We’re going to repeat this cycle of PT 70-75 at the end of February just in case.
