I've been having a Little scratch in my throat, and a bit of mucus waking up for the past week. I am in isolation to not get sick but at times I do have to face humanity and risk it.

Im taking emergenC, vitamins, eating pumpkin seeds but this scratch is no leaving. I am praying it won't plant itself likr a bomb on Oct 3.

If anyone has positive stories of getting a cold on lsat day and still acing it that would make me feel great lol.

Can someone explain how D doesn't strengthen the argument? Wouldn't giving evidence that the sample of the 100 first graders was representative strengthen the broad/general conclusion in the passage? I understand that C is the correct answer, but I don't see how D doesn't as well.

LSAC's policy on hoodies is unclear. They claim that "hats/hoods (except religious apparel) may not be worn on the head," but they don't address whether or not one can wear a hoodie and not put on the hood. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

TONIGHT! PT52 BR | 8pm ET

We may not have...

for our BR Group. That’s for the other BR group taking the LSAT actual this weekend (See http://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/4525/pep-rally-weds-8pm-et-featuring-mike-kim-the-lsat-trainer-and-jonathan-wang), but we do have a very VIP guest joining us...

No, not really. Here’s who we got...

All kidding aside.

Are you ready to BR PT52?

If not, take PT52 NOW and join us at 8pm ET tonight.

Note on all groups

  • For the newbies: Add me on Skype, using handle dmlevine76.
  • For the regulars: If for some reason you're not in the group conversation[s] already, just message me on Skype.
  • For everyone: take the PT under timed conditions; BR as you are able; join us for all or part of the call—everyone is welcome.
  • Note: For the purposes of the call, we like to check our group blind review score together at the very end of the call :) So at least don't say ... "No guys, really, it's D, I checked it."
  • These groups work best when folks from ALL stages of prep and with all different goals join in! Not just for "super-preppers" and definitely not just for the casual LSATer (does such a person exist?).
  • The only expectation anyone has for these calls is for you to have fun and ask questions as you desire. We are just a bunch of LSAT lovers who gather via Skype and intellectually slaughter each test.

I have PT 74 left to take. I was going to take it Friday morning at the same time the LSAT is being held on Saturday. I'm concerned with burnout, as my scores tend to dip if I take two PT's too close together (I've performed better with 4 days between, and worse with less, though correlation/causation could certainly be an issue here).

It's Tuesday. I took PT 73 last night. How should I go about taking my last PT? Should I just do sections over the course of the week?

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.

    I scored 163 in Dec/14

Took a break waiting for application results

    Resumed studying in June

    Registered for Oct

    Took some fresh PTs now

    No difference from last year

    Debating taking Dec/15 instead

How do I overcome this? I've literally taken every single timed PT so many times that I've memorised virtually every answer choice. I don't even need to read the RCs anymore, although I've barely finished them on the new ones today.

How do I beat my best without sacrificing my remaining PT 74 & 75?

Many thanks on advice and experiences :D

Btw I'm doing four month increments. I began studying last year at the beginning of August.

Though, I read JY's article the other day about taking a year to master the test, so I wouldn't be so bummed about potentially taking June/2016

I could do LG with my eyes closed ha ha, but I get wrecked over LR and RC :(

So happy to say that!! I'm feeling really good. My diagnostic was a 153. I've taken about 35 PTs. My last three were all 167s. If I get within +or- 3 of that I'm going to be stoked. 163 is the 75th percentile for my school :)

I'm taking the October LSAT this weekend, and I was just wondering how much discussion we can have about the test before LSAC releases scores.

I know LSAC states that we are not allowed to talk about the test questions, but where is the line drawn? Would reviewing the tactics of a particular game be unacceptable? Then is it OK to discuss general difficulty level of the sections? How about discussing which section was likely the experimental section?

    Thanks!

Of course you are. You're about to take an important test. It's not the most important test though. That one is called the December LSAT.

Just kidding. This is likely the last LSAT you'll ever take.

I'm only trying to remind you that for something this important, there are second chances. That's not true for a lot of other important things in life, so that's something to feel good about.

For most of you, you already know what score you'll get. Take your last three recent properly administered LSAT PrepTests (e.g., 73, 74, 75) and average your scores. You'll get plus or minus 3 points of that average.

There is nothing separating you from that score except the mere passing of a few day's time.

You are as prepared as you can be. You have already seen everything those crafty LSAT writers will throw at you and you've amply demonstrated your ability to respond with craftiness of your own.

Saturday will be just another PT day and the October 2015 LSAT will be just another PT. PrepTest 76, in fact, when the LSAC releases it. And how different could that be from PT 75 and PT 74 and PT 73 and on and on and on.

    You're ready.

That's not to say, of course, that you won't encounter a few insanely difficult curve breaker questions. Every LSAT has them. Every student who has ever taken the LSAT before you has encountered them. You will encounter them (again) on Saturday. I am telling you this now, so you will be prepared. Skip them. Keep moving. Maintain your rhythm.

    You got this.

    Hello dear friends,

We will be holding a special Pep Rally to get everyone encouraged and excited for the October 3rd test.

Possible additional special guests ... announcements pending!!

To join, add me on Skype (nikkers625); if you've already added me, send me a message on Skype letting me know you'd like to join.

Hey guys! A comparative passage question-

I recently watched J.Y.'s explanation for PT 75, and he stated that he tried and really liked the strategy of reading passage A, trying to eliminate answer choices based on his reading of only passage A, then going back to passage B and finally finish answering the questions.

I have never done this before, and was wondering if anyone else had/ if they suggest doing this.

Can anyone help explain this question? I used The Trainer for my LR prep, since I only found 7Sage a few weeks ago. On Mike Kim's website, it has this listed as a Strengthen question, but I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I have tried the Manhattan Prep forums but they list it as a Justify question and I have no idea what that means b/c MK doesn't use that category.

    For the principle, I got:

Should criticize ---> no serious harm to person criticized + one does so in the expectation of benefitting someone other than oneself

    contrapositive:

serious harm to person criticized OR does so in the expectation of benefitting oneself ---> Should NOT criticize

    halp

    Thanks in advance :)

Hello, I'm planning to take the February test. I am currently reading through LSAT Trainer and PowerScore as well as going to school full-time. I am not confident enough about Logic Games and am considering registering for one of 7Sage prep course. The two courses in contention are Starter and Premium.Though the Trainer is immensely helpful with Logical Reasoning, I find Logic Games difficult to grasp. Which course would be ideal considering this time frame and circumstance? Suggestions and comments welcomed. Thank you!

    7sage grader

    Hello,

It seems like my 7 sage grader is not working I tried with another device, and also deleted and downloaded the app twice to make sure it's not my phone. Has any body encountered this? if so would you please tell me how to resolve it?

    thanks

I have finally (after being wishy washy about committing) decided to take the LSAT. I would really like to take the December 2015 LSAT. However, as it is now almost October 1st, that only leaves me 2 months to prepare. Is this a totally crazy idea? After stumbling across the 7Sage prep courses, I feel more confident that if I buckle down and follow the course, I can do well. I am just unsure if this is totally unrealistic. Any input is appreciated!

And I'm giving the side-eye back.

I'm not big on astrology, but with all of the hype about celestial happenings this summer (read: multiple supermoons mania), I came across that we're in Mercury Retrograde until October 9th. After falling down the stairs [sober] last week and then contracting one of the nastiest colds I've ever had this week, all I can say is "cheers" to October 3rd. If I ever take the LSAT again (hopefully never again), then I'll make sure to avoid Mercury Retrograde. Unless of course Mercury is trying to tell me that I shouldn't go to law school, ever.

Has anyone taken the LSAT on Dayquil before? Haaaaaa

I'm getting better on timing LRs, but still struggling for timing RC.

I solved PT 60 today and left 4 questions at the end in RC although I got all questions right after blind review.

I often run out of time in RC, remaining one to four questions untouched.

It gets worse if I feel nervous and get panicked.

I think it might be primarily because I'm not a native English speaker so sometimes it takes me time to understand very complex sentences or get nuances of some words.

But I would really appreciate if you provide some tips on timing RC.

    Thanks!!

    7Sagers:

I need some serious H-E-L-P. here's the details:

    1. Took June 2015 LSAT. Canceled the score, signed up for 7sage, finished it in late august.

    2. Took a Bluepring course last spring. didnt do A SINGLE darn thing for me.

    3. been PrepTesting all month. none of my PT's go over 153/154. I Blind Review all of them, very closely.

    4. I've been signed up for this saturday's exam, 10/3. Obviously, there is no point of me taking it.

    5. I WILL NOT apply to law school with a score lower than 164. I will not go to law school at Sticker Price. no way.

    6. I can't take time off working anymore. used up all my savings sitting at home studying. Spent my last 400$ on 7Sage's Premium Course in order to get the video explanations for PTs 62-71.

    7. Forgot to mention: All the drills iv'e done in 7sage's course, timed, have been PERFECT. not a single question wrong.

    8. Last PT (64)- 153. Section 1 (LR)- 15/25. Section 2 (LG) 16/23. Section 3 (LR) 18/26. Section 4 (RC)- 13/27. This was by far the hardest RC i have EVER encountered.

please help this poor soul out. I am TIRED of dealing with this. I am mentally exhausted. I am physically exhausted. The LSAT has taken a toll on my life in such a way that i have NEVER experienced before.

The Chinese characters in my notes now get replaced by "??" on this website. I use another browser and it's still the same. Anyone encounter the similar situations?

It seems to be a tech problem of 7sage, and I will truly appreciate someone can fix it ASAP since I'm taking my test 5 days later....
