Hey guys, I just took PT62, which is about my 7th PT I have taken so far, and I scored a 159 (-4 LG, -9 RC, -11 LR) after my diagnostic two months ago of 148. I know that I tanked the LR pretty bad, but just curious as to what everyone's thoughts are on the difficulty level of this test?

160 is where I want to be for the August LSAT next week, so should I be happy about this, or is it considered an easier PT?

I do very well on LR questions but always trip up in one of the following situations:

Just kills me on the inside when I can rock the tough ones and I miss the super easy ones according to 7Sage :)

That is to say, if one has an interest in helping the economy it is a given that they would build a business park; if they do not build a business park then there is no way they have an interest in helping the economy.

Question is NA, focus on the above necessary condition when looking at answer choices - If she did not believe that building a business park would help the economy, then fail necessary -> fail sufficient implies she has no interest in helping the economy, which disagrees with the assumption that she does not believe that the business park would help.

In other words, if she does not believe a business park would help she could still be acting in the economy's best interest by doing what she believes would help. This is why it is required for the citizens to assume she knows that building a business park is better than the highway.

Hello! Would anyone like to form a study group to keep each other accountable? I am free most of the day and would like to start studying between 9 and 10 am EST time. Am open to Skype, Zoom, text, calls, facetime etc. I am in the eastern time zone.

I take the exam on Sunday and im in need of some last minute tips. I dont plan on taking another PT but I will be drilling and taking individual sections over the next 3 days.

How do I tackle 4-5 level LR questions? On the PT I just took I got every question right except for the 6 questions that were 4-5 level difficulty. I thought I got them all right but I fell for every trap answer ):

Any suggestions on increasing RC score a couple points? Even if it is new strategies / how to eliminate wrong answer choices? Im awful at this section and have not been able to increase my score consistently. The best I've gone was -6 but just now I got -11.

I am coming to a close on the CC and about to start drilling and taking PTs. Any advice? I'm not really sure where/how to start and any help is very appreciated!

Hi! I am taking the august test using LSAC's loaner tablet. Does anyone have experience taking the test with it? It can both stand or just rest on the table, does the proctor care in terms of how we set it up? I am wondering how the proctor will see me if it's resting on the table. Also can we use ctrl f on this device?

Does anyone know if there's a filter to look for sets vs. supersets type questions? Or is there a place in the core curriculum that deals with these issues? I'm not talking about just the valid vs. invalid inferences from existential relationships, but more like the more recent PT questions that have stimuli like "most mammal species of ... are not, but most individual mammals are ..."

Does anyone have any advice on how to systematically (with a process) attack these problems? I usually do them based on my intuition, but I find that can just be very nerve-wracking. Sometimes, I draw circles/Venn diagrams, too, but I never quite know what to do with them/it's hard for me to infer anything from them.

Is the inference a valid conclusion? Or is it just like a mundane re statement or the premises? Is it even an inference?

A --> C would of course be a valid and true inference or conclusion (depending on argument setup), right?

I truly believe I can score a 180 (-0) on this test and want to find a study partner with similar delusions.

I took the June 2021 test and the reading and logical reasoning didn't seem too bad, but the logic games seemed very difficult to me. I'm taking August test next week so overall how do you guys predict the games section on the August 2021 will be in comparison? What about the entire test in general? Also the curve for the June test lowered a lot of people's scores, do you guys think the curve will be more in our favor for August?

any tips for "except" question types? I feel like I always mess these up because I end up getting confused halfway through and almost forget what I am looking for. I am not fully through the CC yet but JY's current strategy for these seems like it was designed for when the test was taken by hand as opposed to digitally.

Will I be penalized if text messages popped up on my screen while taking the official lsat writing portion? None of the messages contained anything about the exam but a good amount of group texts popped up in the right hand corner while I was working. I assumed that the secure browser would silence any notifications from my computer like honorlock and other proctoring sites do but apparently I was wrong. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried?

I have been taking practice tests for months on an external monitor with my small laptop completely closed. I was told by my proctor that I could not use an external monitor if I was using a laptop no matter if it was closed or not. I called up LSAC while in chat with the proctor and was told the same thing. This killed me, I was super calm before the test but rearranging my workspace and how I interacted with the test was brutal.

I based my assumption that I could use ONE monitor based on https://support.proctoru.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035300212-Multiple-Monitors-Displays page, which is linked from LSAC's website. It says:

"Multiple monitors/displays are not supported. If you have more than one monitor, you will need to disconnect all but one."

Has anyone else run into this problem? Is my interpretation of what I read incorrect? Was anyone else able to use an external monitor for their closed laptops?

i've been seeing a lot of people's RAM usage higher than the 95% allowed by Proctor U. There are tons of articles on how to reduce your RAM on our computer. These are my go-to tips for a macbook air (intel - but that doesn't matter)

elipses top right hand corner > settings > clear browsing data

clear chrome task manager

elipses top right hand corner > more tools > task manager > quit any running programs
