+) EDIT: problem solved

Leaving this here for anyone with the same issue - just allow all the site settings for 7sage.com. This worked for me.

Hi, I have a problem accessing the explanation video for P1 / LG / G1 (But I assume it'll be the same with all other content.) I use Chrome and there are no internet issues.

What happens is I hear the audio, and I see the blue mouse pointer going around the screen, but no visuals.

Referring to one of the discussions here I have tried changing the Video Player settings via my profile - tried both Basic and Classic - the video keeps loading, and nothing happens.

Any help here? Would be much appreciated.

I keep bombing at LR. No matter which question types I drill, I keep getting half or more than half wrong. I write in the Blind Review / Wrong Answer Journal. I blind review each question. But even in blind review I still get the question wrong! What is discouraging is seeing the stats on Curve column an seeing that no one or a small percentage of people got the same answer choice as I did. Then looking at the scorers on the same Curve column, I see its a question that was in the 130s to 140s (an "easy" question), which makes it more discouraging. I have been taking my time, not using the stop clock, and STILL get so many wrong!

My strength is in LG, which for every game, I get -0 to -1 wrong, both timed and un-timed. A bit of background: I have some computer coding skills under my belt, so LG reminds me a lot of when I would create code in Python and Javascript. I prefer to see logic as "If X, then Y" terminology as it is easier for me to understand the flow. Is there a way I can use my LG brain to work for me in LR?

I have noticed a peculiar trend where the LR questions that I tend to miss most are not the ones that I flag but instead the random other ones. I realized that I almost never miss the questions I flag but I miss the ones that I don't flag.

Hi everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone who has experience with LSAC's CAS Service knows if whether before or after you pay for it you can upload your Personal Statements and Addendums?

I am taking the Oct and Nov LSAT but I haven't taken a practice test in a month. I keep planning on taking them but then I get scared seeing if my score won't increase. Does anyone else go through this or know how to overcome it? I know I have to take them in order to improve my score but I am scared to see no improvement after another month of studying and doing better on my drills.

Hi all,

If you're interested in joining a study group where all we do is co-work on zoom, keep each other accountable via imessage and support each other message/ or comment below!

This isn't meant to be a study group where we review questions and Blind Review, but rather an accountability group for people who struggle to keep a consistent schedule and need a little more support.

If you are the type of person that loves hyping/supporting other people and appreciates words of encouragement this is the group for you :)

I usually do well on Logical reasoning from questions 1 to 15 but I seem to consistently get the answer wrong , for some reason its like the same technique I use on these questions do not work the same after question 15, is there any advice on how to improve specifically on Logical Reasoning questions after 15?

Does anyone know if being on your college's Honor Council is generally considered a strong extracurricular? I've been wondering this for a while, but I haven't found any information about it online. I had a leadership position on W&M's Honor Council, and I was hoping that would stand out a bit on my applications.

Hi peeps

I created a discord server for more LSAT study peeps, no matter the score. We don't gatekeep here. It's Legally Blonde themed, and I think it'll be a big help! Here's what I have to offer:

Lots of materials, videos, and resources all in one channel for easy readability

Daily drilling with practice questions

Future study group sessions

Virtual study rooms along with a study bot that can help you create an organized task list.

A bot that can also uplift you and give you some positive vibes when you need to save your sanity.

A group of other people just like you going through the same mental war hoping to get into law school.

A person who truly cares and worked 7 and a half hours on this place because she genuinely wants you to do your best :')

Here's the link if you want to join us: https://discord.gg/ShRApKHjGn

I've been reading some suggestions to simulate a modern test for the practice tests, and then "take an extra section" from an older test to simulate how the testing would feel day of. But how do you do this?

Do you make a drill with it limited to "Tags and Preptests" then only check off 1 prep test and then check off all the item tags? What do you do then with the drill difficulty slider? Wouldn't the drill difficulty slider not be in effect if you do this because you're just taking all the questions from a section so you can't control the difficulty?

Hi,

I'm feeling really discouraged right now, so I'd appreciate some encouragement. Last year I studied for the LSAT on and off during undergrad and got 2 poor scores 148 and 149. I took the tests out of desperation not to fall behind. (I know, not wise.) I decided to wait a cycle, and I have been studying full time for the last several months. I have made my way through all of the Powerscore books, and I've been drilling to an obsessive level. I got my PTs to the 152-158 range, and decided to shoot for the moon. I took the LSAT today, and I ran into a game with wording that I hadn't seen before. I completely shut down. Tilted my way through the entire test. My mind went blank. I wouldn't be surprised if I got between a 150-152. I've now taken the test 3 times, and I've been studying full time. My partner has left me recently, and I feel like I'm at a really low point.

My averages are

RC:-11

LR: -10

LG: -5

I'm pretty bummed.

Hey 7Sagers,

Here's the official September 2023 LSAT Discussion Thread.

REMINDER: Under your Candidate Agreement, you may not discuss the details of any specific LSAT questions at any time. For the September 2023 LSAT, general discussion of what sections you had, or how difficult you found a given section, or speculation about which sections were scored or unscored, is prohibited until after 9pm ET, Tuesday, September 12th.

Posts that violate these rules will be taken down and may result in disciplinary action from LSAC. Let’s work together to ensure the test is fair to everyone, and not share information before everyone has taken the test.

Some examples of typical comments:

The following comments are okay 🙆‍♀️

  • the section on Cambodian woodworking really had me second guessing everything.
  • a few of the games had me confused but think I was okay.
  • overall fair test, struggled on a couple of RC passages (damn you polymorphic molecules) but think I was okay hoping for a -2 or -3
  • The following comments are over the line 🙅‍♂️

  • the passage on Cambodian woodworking didn’t count.
  • I had Cambodian woodworking, Fireflies, and rice farming in Iowa so Lithuanian Lithograph Libraries was experimental.
  • fair test but struggled on a couple RC passages (polymorphic molecules anyone? Thankfully it didn’t count). Don’t want to take again in June
  • Anyone know if Polygamist Societies in the 1880s was real or experimental?
  • Please tell me that polygon dice game didn’t count
  • Good luck to everyone taking the September 2023 LSAT!

**Please keep all discussions of the September 2023 LSAT here!**(/red)

Hey y'all, so I know this is a stupid question, but can anyone explain to me what it means for something to be a sufficient condition? I understand it practically in using Lawgic to work through LR questions, but for some reason I can't explain it clearly with words. Thank you in advance!!!

To clarify, using pen to set up fixed rules/board/pieces, and using pencil to work out questions and then erasing, instead of rewriting out boards multiple times.

I go back and forth and I’m undecided.

Biggest pro with erasing is that I finish games way faster. But those few and far between questions where having past question boards available to review is the only drawback I’ve encountered.

Anyone else have experience or thoughts??

After a disappointing 2022-23 cycle, I decided to retake the LSAT one more time. I scored a 172 in June 22. Although it's only a 2 point increase, I'm really happy and looking forward to applying.

Gotta thank @Mike_Ross for not only his tutoring help but his words of encouragement when I was so down. To anyone thinking of retaking, I know it's hell but it's worth it!

I got 155 on my cold PT and scored 173 on the August 2023 LSAT. My goal was to score anywhere above 170 so I am very satisfied. I'm glad I went through my entire LSAT journey with 7Sage. The core curriculum, blind review, PT analytics, and tutoring all worked out for me.

I especially want to thank and recommend my tutor @"bailey.luber". I was stuck in the mid-160s for quite a while and her advice for drilling and mindset really helped me have breakthroughs. I only had 5 hours of tutoring but she was very approachable, always there to check in on me, and always gave me detailed, thoughtful, and effective advice that applied perfectly to my situation. There were times when I wanted to quit due to score plateau and studying alone as an international student, but my tutor has been a huge source of support and encouragement.

    Thank you 7Sage!

Hello! Could I get some outside opinions to break down why A is more correct than D? My thought process was:

"Few" people are influenced... in the shoes of the columnist, I'm thinking, ANY amount of people being influenced is worth banning these polls if it doesn't have any negative consequences to do so. If this had said "no" people, then I would have chosen it.

If the polls show late gains in popularity, that could be useful information to voters; did something happen leading up to the elections to cause shifting tides? Could certainly be good information to know, which would be something to point out in the argument to not ban polls.
