Hi.

I've been using Powerscore website's Historic LSAT Score Conversions table as it was the first result that came up on Google search for LSAT score conversion to calculate my scores but when I used 7Sage's Modern LSAT Score Estimator today for the first time I scored 3 points higher on the test I took today. I made sure I checked off the box for two LR as it was preptest 40.

Which score conversion should I use going forward?

I was just wondering when you take a PT, if you complete all four sections but at the very end click "simulate modern" (formerly simulate flex) to have a more accurate score which you would see on test day, would that extra section and all your answers still be saved?

Thx!

I'm getting into the later PT's and I'm finding that they have started including those multiple passage prompts in every Reading Comp section now.

Any tips for these specific passages? They usually give me the most trouble on time, correct answers, and general fatigue because I (naturally) feel like I have to juggle more information than with a single passage. Any specific strategy that has helped any of you deal with these ones?

I'm confused when it comes to the best way to take older prep tests: simulate modern vs. don't simulate. The old tests had two LR sections, which isn't representative anymore except that it provides a four-section experience, thereby helping test-takers when it comes to training our stamina for the actual test. However, taking a 3-section test also isn't really representative because the actual test will have an experimental section. I'm also concerned that by cutting out the second LR section, the final score will be skewed. For example, the last test I took I did both LR sections. One I got -2 and the other I got -7! If the -7 section had been cut, my score would have been boosted significantly, possibly leading to a false sense of progress. How does 7Sage determine which LR section to cut?

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting and I have a question about law school admissions. I've heard that LSAC converts your GPA to a 4.33 scale, meaning that any A+ you receive counts as a 4.33 and any A counts as 4.0, etc. I currently have a 4.0 but my school doesn't give out A+s. Does this hurt my chances or will law schools treat a 4.0/4.0 student similarly to a student who has a weighted GPA higher than 4.0? Thanks in advance!

Hello! In the curriculum there is a plethora of problem sets. I could have sworn you stated to NOT do any more than like 10 questions of the same question type as it can be harmful. If this is true.. do I just do 2 sets of 5 and come back after I start PT'ing once I identify my weaker question types?

So I took the LSAT in Jan (166), Feb (165), and March (169).

I obviously can't take it again until August when the LSAC cycle restarts.

My target school (the only one I can realistically go to geographically) has a median of 169. I am applying early there in the fall. My GPA is about .1 below their median. I spoke to someone in admissions and he said that 169 was great, but there was a possibility that their median could go up to 170, but that they won't know until August. He also said it doesn't matter how many times I take this infernal test because they only take the highest.

I'm forced to take a break now because of testing limits, but does anyone think it's worth putting myself through this a 4th time? My PTs were always higher, but I am a very nervous test taker and that test day penalty has been super real for me.

I don't want to 'be lazy' and give up, I just need some advice from others going through this! I'm open to any and all feedback, expect the kind that's mean. This test is mean enough :P

I am scoring around 162-164 on my timed tests , and am looking to get a 170 on the April exam. My BR scores are usually in the low/mid 170s. My highest timed score was a 167, with BR 177. The closest I've gotten to that since has been a 165. Any advice on what to focus on for the rest of the time until April? Timed sections? More practice tests? I've increased to two a week.

My average scores for each section: RC: -7, LR: -5, LG: -4

Test Anxiety

I’m pretty new to prep, and I just started taking full-length timed sections. The degree to which stress and panic impacts performance on this test is bewildering to me. I took a timed games section, got thrown off guard by a question or two, and began to panic. I then forgot my technique, muddled through the rest of the section, and wound up going -7. Once I regained my composure, I took another section—this time much calmer and more focused. -2. Does anyone else experience these kinds of fluctuations based on mentality?

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions about how to review of the LG section. I have finished all sample questions of LG in the core curriculum and reviewed these questions with Fool Proof Method. However, moving forward, I don't know if I need to further finish all LG problem sets by type or just start to do PTs to practice under time constraints of a full test. Can anyone help me with this?

I got into both with great scholarships, but I can't decide which one to choose. AUWCL has a great `Intl Law program (7th in the country), but Cardozo is higher ranked (AUWCL 73 and Cardozo 52). Both cities are great for that area of law, however, I am looking to live abroad after (I am an international student). Would love to hear your opinions :)

Maybe you can implement a second set of navigational buttons on top of the page or maybe under the videos and above the transcript in the prep course. If you are trying to jump quickly between lessons it takes a decent amount of scrolling to get to the bottom of the transcript. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but can be helpful. Thank you for the great content.

Hi everyone! I'm reviewing PT 78 Game 3 and I have a question about one of the conditional logic rules.

Rule 2 says that if H - L --> M - L

Original: H - L --> M - L

Contrapositive: L -M --> L --H

When I originally did this game, I split that rule into two possibilities:

  • both H and M before L
  • L before H and M
  • This worked for me - I was able to get all the questions right based on this, and when I watched JY's video on splitting into game boards, every game board ended up falling under one of these two scenarios. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if this is the right way to interpret that rule based on conditional logic.

    Independent of the rest of the rules in the game, does the original rule 2 allow for a situation where the necessary is satisfied (M - L), rule falls away, and we have L - H (so M - L - H)?

    Good afternoon, I am looking for students to have a study gruop, I have been self studying through mostly Princeton Review & Lsat Trainer (Kim) for about a month. Looking to start with a group to help for the next 4-5 months I plan to study 5x a week (20hrs a week). Please message me here or private message. My scedule is open in the afternoons/evenings EST.

    Title pretty much says it all, I have gotten to a point in my studies where I feel like I know the content well enough to consistently score in the mid 150s, yet when it comes time to take a PT I just panic and don’t perform to the best of my abilities. The reason it’s so frustrating is just because I know I am smart enough, something just happens in my head whenever it comes to taking a PT that makes me panic and not think clearly, and I’m scared it’ll happen on test day. Should I give up? Is the test just not for me? These are questions that I have been asking myself lately, and it’s a tough pill to swallow considering the years I’ve put into this test, and how I have planned my entire education around going to law school. I’m not sure what to do anymore with really no improvement on RC and LR, just consistently getting around -11 on LR and even after blind reviewing I just feel as if I don’t internalize the information. For RC, there just seems to be absolutely no hope and I think that is where my score will be impacted the most, I usually miss around 14 and don’t even get to the last passage just because I am trying to be accurate with only 3 passages. However, I can’t even do that it seems, just constantly missing questions and not internalizing anything I read regardless of how much I take my time. If I could just find a way to score a 155 consistently, which doesn’t seem like a crazy stretch of the imagination, then my life would be made. Any tutor recommendations would be super appreciated and I really apologize for this mess of a post, I just felt the need to express my struggles and ask the 7sage community for help when I feel I need it most.

    Hi, all!

    I just took PT 90 and watched the RC explanation video for the comparative passages. I noticed that JY read Passage A, attempted the questions, then went back to read Passage B and answer/confirm any remaining questions.

    Is this a good strategy to adopt? Thanks!

    So, I definitely underestimated this exam my first time around (insert clown face emoji) and now I'm planning on taking the exam in Sep or October 2022. Without much preparation at all, I took the exam and got a 138. Needless to say, I was devastated. I'm trying to pick my confidence/dignity to try this again and take the exam seriously. Ideally, I would like to aim for the 160s. Am I delusional to expect such an increase?
