Hi everyone!

So I just received notification that my Lawhub subscription will be expiring on October 31. This is not great timing as I'm writing the November LSAT and would only need it for (hopefully) a few more weeks. Is there any other way to renew access to this system rather than paying for the whole year or do I need to just bite the bullet and renew? The only other way I could think of was just using printable versions of the tests for the next few weeks as practice, but maybe I am overlooking something? Any suggestions? My timing is so bad..

I'm taking the test in November and all these discussion posts about proctor interruptions have me increasingly worried about experiencing similar issues on the day of my exam. Anyone care to share some positive experiences to help a fellow LSAT-taker out? Or any tips on how to overcome a proctor issue so it doesn't obliterate my chances of doing well on the test?

I'm getting ready to submit my applications next week before November comes around. Does anyone want to swap resumes for last minute advice? Would be happy to look over anyones resume if they would do the same for me. Let me know (:

Hello everyone,

I am applying as a mature student. I have extensive experience in my field (21 years). My resume shows a rapid and steady climb to senior leadership positions. I am currently a professor in my field.

I am not sure how to approach the length of my resume submission. I am curious what people here think. I have curated the entries to highlight the most relevant aspects of the jobs I have held. I included provincial registrations related to my field as well as recent professional development initiatives. For the latter I stuck to ones that have relevance to either law or the mandates of the school I am applying to. I did include a summary of qualifications on the first page. That has also been carefully curated to showcase only those items that an admission committee may be interested in. With all that said, my resume is at three pages. I notice that most suggestions for law school resumes are one page. Given my extensive relevant experience I was aiming for two.

Should I try and cut a page? Should I leave it as is since I am in the mature category? What does everyone think?

Thanks!

I'm applying to law school next fall (for Fall 2023), but have already reached out to my former professors to ask for letters of rec since I've been out of school for a year and don't want them to forget me. If they submit their LORs to LSAC sometime in the next couple of months, would it look worse to admissions officers than if they waited until a little closer to next application cycle? I just wasn't sure if having LORs submitted too early could potentially weaken my application.

Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can anyone explain to me how the new scoring is going to work and how I should prep for this with PTs? I'm registered for the November 13th test date and have been taking regular LSAT PTs. But I just realized that the new LSAT is a bit different and I have no idea how to adjust my score to reflect what I might actually get on the exam.

On my latest PT, I scored a 162 with a raw score of 78/100. Now that the test will only be three graded sections, how will this change my score? How many can I count on being able to miss in order to get a 170?

Hi all! For some reason, I keep getting MSS questions wrong. I try to look at the ACs and ask myself: Is this supported? But often times, the AC that is correct has a new component that is somehow supported by the stimulus.

Any tips on how I should be approaching these questions? I was doing pretty well on them when I worked on the CC but now I'm slipping during practice tests.

Has anyone done the writing sample for the October 2021 exam this past week? And have you heard back yet from LSAC? I did mine on the 19th (I know I should have done it earlier) and I am wondering if I will get it approved on time for Wednesday. It still says result pending.

I wanted to get some more info on this. Since August, I have heard from all my friends that they scored on the real test roughly 5-10 points less than they are used to scoring on PT’s. My theory is that this is because LSAC is intentionally giving out harder tests in order to keep the scores down since they have so many test takers this year. Are your scores this year reliably lower than your PT’s? Do you think this is because LSAC is giving out harder tests?

So basically I tried to cram for the November LSAT in the last 5-6 weeks because I was impatient and deluded about my capabilities. Now I am pushing the LSAT back to January but the problem is that I'm not sure how to tear down my foundations and start from scratch. I know how to do every type of problem but I'm a master at none, I can do good on certain practice sections depending on if I get the right set of problems but my foundations are shaky so I have no consistency.

Hi all,

Any advice/strategies for when to schedule the test in terms of which day/time on the test weekend? I'm concerned after hearing so many reports of the terrible technical/server issues, especially with the October 2021 test and had wondered if perhaps the server crashed because of so many people taking the test on a particular day of the weekend/time slot. I am taking the November test.

Thanks!

I hate this part of waiting for my score! I know, I know... you can't change it now so you might as well just forget about it and do something else other than think about it. I have test anxiety and always find myself unconsciously going through the questions in my head trying to remember what answer I put down (especially with LG, it's easy to retrospectively analyze your setup and stuff). I'll add up how many questions I could get wrong on each section to still get a decent score and I'll think "maybe I got __ on reading comp." but the truth is: I just. don't. know.

I'm just grateful that I have the 7sage community because it always reminds me that I'm not alone and that self-doubt is very common after taking the LSAT. We only have about 5 days until score release and until then I am trying my hardest to stop replaying the test in my head. Hope everyone is treating themselves kindly!!!!

Has anyone used 7sage's editing services? I literally can't afford to spend more but would like to have feedback on your experience? I feel very insecure about my PS and DS and paid an inexpensive service of $80 to review my documents but maybe I'm just too nervous and overthinking the content of my documents but I'm unsure. I wish 7sage had some sort of payment plans or whatever :'(

I have a tutor that asked me a series of questions for brainstorming a personal statement. Essentially, it was what the most shitty things in my life were and then they suggested I make a personal statement around these things. This seems strange to me as some of these experiences aren't connected in anyway to the type of law I want to pursue. I've also heard that students shouldn't make their personal statements the "tragedy Olympics" so I feel uncomfortable about this advice. Thoughts?

Hi all!

Last month I finished all the core/prep material from 7sage. I took a practice test and got my best score ever (164!!) but now am struggling with what to do now. I looked at my practice test and saw the areas where I needed work and did some practice questions around those area, but I feel like it is not enough. What should I be doing in between practice tests to keep raising my score? I am feeling a bit aimless right now.

Does anyone else read an LR stimulus, answer it with confidence immediately, and the pause and reread everything again and then change your original answer, But then, your original answer was correct?

I have no idea what I created this habit weeks before the Nov. exam!

So Basically from my understanding B is correct because since the study were choosing paintings that were aesthetically better does not mean the other preschoolers artwork were displeasing or the experts work is necessary pleasing? Because it seems like the author is saying that because since the participates chose the the experts work over a preschoolers work he assumed that it abstracts expressionist work is pleasing over the preschoolers work which makes the preschoolers work displeasing which isn’t the case because it is no more pleasing than the experts painting? Am I correct with this? Cause I’m a bit confused on why this answer isn’t A.

I have a 170 with a 3.7 gpa, but am a transfer student and transferred into COVId, so I do not have any close relationships with any my Professor at my new school. What should I do?
