Hi everyone!! I started studying about a month and a half ago

and was approaching it very relaxed but I’m going to be more serious about studying from now to the September or October test date! For me personally, it seems studying one section at a time starting with LG then LR and RC (my lowest to highest scores) will be the best approach. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in forming a study/accountability group? I was hoping we could form a group chat, use zoom, FaceTime, or whatever is best for studying together online! I’m also in ET and can study online on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at any time of the day! Besides 7Sage, I’m using the powerscore bibles, the free version of blueprint, khan academy, the lsat trainer, and working with a tutor once or every other week! If this sounds like a similar approach you might take (or even if not!) or you’re just starting out and you’re interested please feel free to dm me!! Thank you in advance!!

I originally picked C and didn't pick D - can someone confirm my rationale for why C is wrong and D is right?

C - Mentions that "very low" blood sugar levels could cancel out the high cholesterol levels, but the residents have normal blood sugar levels, so this is super irrelevant. Seems like LSAT is banking on fast and undetailed reading

D - If the residents have a genetic predisposition against vascular blockage, then that might explain why even with high cholesterol levels, they may have a counteracting force against the cholesterol levels

Hi everyone! I know this question gets thrown around on the forum sometimes, but I'd love some clarity when it comes to bettering one's chances of admission from a timeline perspective as well as receiving adequate aid.

With that being said, what is considered pretty late? If one were to take the October or November LSAT, is applying soon after considered late? Appreciate everyone's thoughts.

Intuitively I chose E, but then crossed it out because the passage did not specifically state what is "good journalistic practice".

Chose B but then understood why it was wrong- I made an assumption about "interesting".

Answer Help: PT1.S3.Q11

If someone has done this question about water vapor and oceans and got it correct: can you please explain to me? I am not understanding the correlation between precipitation and the concentration of oxygen in seawater. I chose A originally if someone can also tell my why thats wrong. Thank you guys!! Appreciate any help :)

I already submitted my applications with an LSAT score already on file, but now I'm considering signing up for a future LSAT to improve my score. Will applications that are already marked "complete" still be considered even though I have an upcoming test date on file or will they put me on hold? Is this something I need to email the admissions office about?

Hi everyone,

I've officially taken the LSAT twice (scoring a 164 both times even though I was averaging high 160s-low 170s. I choked, lol), and I'm getting on my final 5-month of LSAT prep to take it one last time in June. I'm on PST time and work a full-time job, so most of my prep is done on weeknights and weekends. I'm averaging around the 168-171 window, and I'm trying to PT in the 175+ area by test day to test there hopefully or at least 170+.

I'm looking for a small group of retakers to study with (potentially have a discord group going). We can hold each other accountable and brainstorm/test out new learning and test-taking strategies. I'm not trying to start from scratch, do sections, and BR those sections together. I'm imagining turning discord into basically a 7sage/powerscore/Manhattan prep live forum where people have questions they can post in the chat and hopefully have some folks break down the problems together. I envision recreating a productive library study session if multiple people are online. Like if some of us aren't doing a practice section or practice test (we'll be on dnd mode) and we're all reviewing problems, we just did and are not sure about a particular question/game/passage we hop in a voice channel, talk through the issues, answer any remaining questions, and go back to studying.

Let me know if this sounds interesting to anyone! The kinks aren't ironed out yet, but even if it's just a small group of 3-4, I think this could be super cool. Plus, if it's a group of retakers, for the most part, we all will already have some study plan for ourselves and just having a group who is in a similar boat as you can be a good resource and support network to use.

Hey y'all! I am 3 weeks into my LSAT study prep and I'm wondering whether the study schedule or syllabus option is best. I have just been going though the syllabus every day and while its working, I don't know if I should be focusing more on how the study schedule sets up the material. Is it fine to just go through the syllabus or should I abide by the study schedule they generate? I am planning to take the test in 3-6 months.

Shooting for 170

My diagnostic was a 139 back in May of 2021. Currently scoring in the high 150s with a goal of 170 on the June LSAT. Currently -8ish on LR, -6ish on RC and anywhere from -1 to -5 on LG. Currently I'm doing 1 LG section per night with either an LR/RC in addition. I also do 1 PT per week. Tips on best way to improve?

LG Drilling vs PT'ing

I've done close to 12 PTs in the past month and I've noticed that my LG score varies significantly than that of my drills. Usually when drilling LG I can get anywhere from -4 to -0 on a cold section. However, when taking PTs my LGs are awful ranging from -4 to -8 in some cases. Does anyone have any tips on how to close this gap ? I think I'm decent at LG but for some I just cant rely on it during an actual PT.

Hey everyone! I am looking for anyone interested to join a discord where we take and then blind review tests once a week together. We also regularly discuss questions we find difficult. I work full time, so this would be primarily focused on a sunday or saturday prep test, but then we put challenging questions or seek general advice in the discord and go from there. If interested please send me a message and I can add you to the discord channel!

As the header states, I didn't see any blatantly wrong with the argument. It was just a causal chain (Global warming causes temperatures to increase which causes greater proportion of precipitation to fall as rain which causes faster melting and more flooding and less storable water) and I didn't notice any significant gaps and so all the answer choices just looked and sounded correct. What do I do in a situation like this? I also thought JY's explanation for answer choice A was a stretch. I think it's correct to assume precipitation in this instance is referring to rain.

I hovered between (C) and (D) but ultimately chose (C) because I felt that (D)'s use of the word "misrepresent" was incorrect - it seems that the organicists don't misrepresent traditional analytical methods, so much as they simply don't understand them. Misrepresentation carries the weight of intentionality, which is forfeited when it's revealed that someone is simply ignorant.

Other than that, the answers strike me as very similar - would love to understand why (D) is right!

Thanks.

So I didn't get a lot of sleep today and Ive been trying to do some new logic games but I feel sluggish and like my braining is buffering everything slowly. I'm gonna wait until I get a good night's sleep before I attempt anymore LSAT stuff but this left me with a question. Do you guys think the optimum way to study the LSAT is only when you get a good night of sleep or should we study the LSAT even if wwe're sleep deprived?

[I am posting on behalf of a 7Sage user. Please feel free to leave your comments below. Thank you for your help!]

Hello. I believe I will be done with the course by next week. My lsat is for February 2020. I know I will not be able to take all 99 prep tests before then but was wondering if I should go in order from prep test 1-15 lets say or start at prep test 75 and go from there?

Hey all,

I'm new to the LSAT world and was hoping for some insight on the registration process.

How does the process of registering for the test date work? Once I register and pay do I have the option to withdraw or cancel it?

Do the spots fill up quick or would it be okay to wait later? Do we pick our time to write the test the same time we register or do actual test times come out later?

Thanks in advance!!

I am not really certain how legal education works, but I know bars are state specific. If one goes out of state school, nearby, would we then have harder time preparing for bar. Again, I am not sure how legal education goes but assuming schools of specific state would give preference to teaching laws of that state to prepare students for that state bar. Any inputs would be much appreciated. Thank you!

A professor kindly submitted a LOR for me through LSAC on 12/16. The status changed from requested to received. I've checked in around 1/4 and the status had once again changed from received to requested. I've talked with LSAC and they are just asking that I request for the Professor to submit the LOR again. Has this happen to anyone else? LSAC has not been of much help in this process at all.
