Thank you 7Sage!! It took me 2 years of studying, lots of social events sacrificed, and some financial risks to get here. Still signed up for the November test, but we'll see. Happy to be done for now!

I'm rarely one to make a public discussion post like this, but I want to express my gratitude to 7Sage and encourage others to give it a shot.
In September 2019, I got a 156 after using PowerScore. I re-took in November 2020 after studying w/ Khan Academy, and saw a marginal score increase (162), but I was still nowhere near my goal score. I started w/ 7Sage in March of 2021 and told myself this would be the last time.
The 7Sage core curriculum helped me tremendously. Starting with such a great foundation (and treating my LSAT studying like an online class) really helped to raise my floor score. I found myself performing with greater consistency and was confident going into test day (a strange feeling!). Anyways, all this to say that I have been thoroughly impressed w/ 7Sage, and after having used other popular methods like PowerScore and Khan, I can say that this was the best prep regiment I tried hands-down. Excited to never have to think about this test ever again!
I am currently scoring around 172 with about -2 LR. People say the best way to learn is to teach, so I think if I explain my thought process in LR it will allow me finally close this gap. I could probably only be helpful for those scoring 164 and below. I'll probably be studying for a while today so feel free to stop by I'll just leave the zoom link here: https://nyu.zoom.us/j/9958274382
I currently got my LSAT score for OCT back and unfortunately it was worse than what my average was. My last PT before the test I scored above my average, so honestly. WTF. Anyway, I love 7sage for LG but would like to know if you guys used additional material for LR or RC. I've used loophole, it's definitely helped, but now I'm thinking of taking January. Please let me know advice for these sections, and what worked for you. Thank you!!
Does anyone know how to create 5 sections of LRs from different PTs? All I have managed to create is one section with 100 LR questions.
Due to technical issues I honestly expected my score to be a heartbreak. Turned out to be a 163.
It still is a heartbreak, in a way, because I had regularly been PT'ing at around 170, my goal score, and my last PT before the test (the morning of the test in fact) was a 173.
I put this partly down to test day nerves but the vast majority down to the extreme anxiety caused by Proctor U. Like many others, I was sitting on my hands for close to an hour due to a 'technical problem' not on my end between the 2nd and 3rd sections.
Still, getting an 84th percentile score even in the worst test conditions possible (at least I hope it could not be worse) has honestly given me a lot of confidence for November, which I am thankful I registered for. I want a 170 and feel better about getting there now. Thanks in big part to 7sage whose materials and guidance was the biggest factor in my score lift by far.
I am having a really hard time with RC. When I do full PT's and timed reading sections I am running out of time or rushing and getting -7 to -10 wrong. I definitely think that it is a timing issue because I have done 2 untimed reading sections and gotten -1 and -2. I am hoping to get down to -5 or less on RC in the next couple of weeks before the November test. What can I do to improve my timing? Any advice/tips/strategies is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
My Lsat score still has not posted. It states it's temporarily on Hold, But I still haven't received an email for the reason it would be on hold. Is anyone having this problem as well?
Got 161 at Oct 2020, Jan 2021 and oct 2021.
I feel like the whole year had been wasted.
I scored 168 on both of the newest PTs, and I feel really confident at the October test.
Anyways, congrats to all who get what you want.
I was consistently PTing in the low-mid 160s and BRing in the upper 160s. I just got my score back and it was 9 points lower than my most recent PT and two points lower than my August score. I am so discouraged and disappointed in myself. I know this test isn’t an intelligence test, but it sure feels like it. Going on over a year of studying and making gains right before this test, I was feeling so confident. I’m just at a loss for words and don’t know where to go from here. Sad.
Hey 7Sagers,
Here's the official October 2021 LSAT Discussion Thread.
REMINDER: Under your Candidate Agreement, you may not discuss the details of any specific LSAT questions at any time. For the October LSAT, general discussion of what sections you had, or how difficult you found a given section, or speculation about which sections were scored or unscored, is prohibited until after 9pm ET, Thursday, October 14, 2021.
Posts that violate these rules will be taken down and may result in disciplinary action from LSAC. Let’s work together to ensure the test is fair to everyone, and not share information before everyone has taken the test.

I don't know whether to be super sad or super angry right now, so I'll settle on both. My test ended up starting 45 minutes late because of "technical difficulties." NOT ON MY END; I checked everything the night before. On THEIR end, and they were just really unfriendly and unhelpful about it. I could not possibly hate ProctorU more if you paid me.
The connection kept on "dropping," according to them. I went through multiple technical agents. They told me to change my privacy settings, reboot my computer, and on and on and on.
By the time I actually got into the test, I was so flustered it didn't even matter that I'd studied for 9 months, felt 100% ready, and was eerily calm in the days leading up to the test. I already knew I wasn't going to do well, and I'm pretty sure I bombed the first half.
Now, luckily I was smart enough to sign up for November, so in another month I get to do this all again (joy!). I just feel like such a tremendous failure right now; like I wasted 9 months of my life, like it was stupid of me to dare hope I could do something as challenging as go to law school.
Commiserate with me, please.
Hi All,
JY makes copious reference to when rule becomes irrelevant in Logic Games. I have searched the core curriculum to review that lesson but haven't found it yet. Could someone tell me where that lesson can be found, please? Thank you.

I have been studying for a while now (5 months) but have only managed to go up about 8-9 points. I did pretty poorly with my first diagnostic at a 142 and now scoring at roughly 151 (on a good day). Sometimes I score in the 148-150 range but I am just tired, stressed and quite honestly sacrificing too much of my mental health on this test. Should I take this as an indicator that law school might not be right for me. With an average score of 150 I wouldn't be getting into any worthwhile schools anyway. I have a 4.0 GPA while being an honors student but this test has just taken so much from me. I truly feel like giving up. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you and good luck to all taking the Nov LSAT.
A law school I'm applying to has an optional "Why law and Why X" essay.
I feel I can tie in my Why X reason into my personal statement.
Would it disadvantage me to include the Why X in the personal statement instead of writing a separate optional essay on the topic?
Hey all,
Hoping for #Help, does anyone have a comprehensive list of rules on how to translate words into Lawgic? Like, every single indicator word I will see, the group its in and the rules, exceptions, bi-conditionals, all of that jazz, I totally understand how lawgic works once translated into abbreviated form, but, I seem to really struggle with translating it quickly enough and I am really unsure of myself which makes me freeze up, I am willing through most questions with intuition and doing quite well, but, the lists to help with translation that I have seen aren't exactly comprehensive, hoping someone who is as analytical as I am has gone to some lengths to make a more exhaustive list of words/rules and would be willing to share.
Am I the only one who is genuinely feeling pooped after the OCT LSAT? I signed up for November but my studying has been almost non-existent since my test. I feel awful because I should've kept pushing but I've been studying since June 2020 and my brain is fried.
10/26/2021 Update: I am currently a 2L at USC Gould. Feel free to DM me questions about the LSAT, the application process or law school. My journey was far from ideal, but I hope I can provide some insight.
Overview of my journey:
I'm writing this for a bit of inspiration for anyone that is in need of it because my journey was not easy, but it sure paid off because I stuck to it.
I studied on/off for nearly two years total. My diagnostic was a 144 back in Jan 2017. After finishing the 7Sage CC, I was sitting at a 152 in May of 2017. I made sure to really take my time with the lessons and I hope everyone does the same as well--it was time well spent and I would definitely do it this way again.
Post CC was really where the grind began. I was dead set on a 170 score.
My first take: 161 in December 2017.
Second take: 161 in December 2018.
After studying for 10 months 5.5 days a week for 8 hours a day, I received the SAME EXACT SCORE.
I was actually depressed after this test. I was emotionally numb for about a month, it was rough. The following weeks post-results felt like a nightmare I would eventually wake up from. In particular, LSAT was my life at this point, and to have zero improvement on the only thing I was focused on was one of the toughest feelings out there. Most of all, I had nobody to blame but myself.
I took a two month break and got back to hitting the test hard again for 4 months.
Third take: 166 in June 2019.
Same study plan, but I used the BEST tutor, @"Cant Get Right." I'm not sure how the rules are for plugging people, but he was just phenomenal with picking out my weaknesses and helping me combat them in an understandable way. I cannot say enough great things about Josh. Here is his website. https://www.nevermorelsat.com/
Top 3 tips:
DO NOT USE ALL THE PT MATERIAL. I cannot stress this enough. I would feel so confident after blind reviewing a PT from learning an immense amount from it that I would take another right away WITHOUT drilling weaknesses. Not surprisingly, I would receive similar scores, on average, because I failed to address weaknesses. Sure I spent days on BR ripping apart questions, but what's that worth if I never addressed the underlying problem by drilling it away? Make sure to save PT material and use it wisely. Personally, I ran out and that created a ton of unnecessary problems. Without drilling in-between PTs, I would waste limited PTs on full tests to receive very little benefit from using all that material. Please don't make this mistake.
Good, bad, or otherwise, DO NOT let the overall score get to you, ever. When practicing for this test for an extended amount of time, the most important thing to know for keeping one's mental in the right place is that an overall score is simply a really poor gauge for your improvement. Seems a bit counterintuitive, right? Of course, to combat this, 7sage takes the last 5 PTs and averages them for your improvement score. Although this is more accurate, it's still a poor indicator of IMPROVEMENT. Allow me to explain why. LSAC has thousands of tricks that they use. Some happen more than others. It takes time to learn these tricks and just because you learned a few new tricks or new ways of thinking on your most recent PT BR, that doesn't mean those aspects are going to be tested again in the next PT you do. It actually would make sense that ideas being testing on in, let's say, PT61, are going to be testing totally different tricks than those used in PT60, since the previous test may have been released for people to study it. For example, LSAC is NOT likely to put two 5 star questions with a very similar small trick in them, in sequential PTs. But some people take PTs in sequential order. So while you are actually improving, you are likely being tested on the areas you have yet to ever see. So please don't look at the final score and think THAT is the measure of your improvement.
Here is an optimistic way of thinking that helped me keep my drive, despite the scores: The more missed questions, the more opportunities I had to fix problems. The more problems fixed, the less problems I could potentially run into on test day if I ran into a similar question/topic.
The only aspect that should be celebrated or frowned upon are similar questions that you've studied before/have seen and now on this second time: 1) you recognized the similarity or not, 2) you got it right or not, 3) you skipped it or not (strategically) 4) you got it correct again, but faster or not. Situations like this are a direct measure of improvement and they are key to watch out for.
This community has helped me so much. So if anyone wants to chat about anything LSAT related, has any questions, or simply wants to vent, please feel free to DM me :D
What a journey this one was and I would not be in this position without 7Sage and the community.
Thank. You.
Sitting November 13th. Would love any opportunity to work through these recent tests with fellow last-leggers.
How do suggest I get to my BR score.
Currently, I drill the weak sections and take a timed LR section max 50mins. Then I blind review with wrong answer journal after each section. Trying to get down to -1 if possible, but it seems like the time is what's killing me. Any sugestions?
Currently using Loophole Method, read through PowerScore books, actively use PS online forum, and Manhattan Forum for review.
I just received this email from LSAC: "We are writing to let you know that your recent LSAT session is currently being reviewed, along with others, for an incident that was recorded during the administration of the test. Please be assured that your session is intact and your test answers have been recorded properly."
Has anyone else gotten this? Are they just telling me because my score will come out late or are they trying to set the stage to tell me they have invalidated my test for some reason?
Hi everyone!
So I just received notification that my Lawhub subscription will be expiring on October 31. This is not great timing as I'm writing the November LSAT and would only need it for (hopefully) a few more weeks. Is there any other way to renew access to this system rather than paying for the whole year or do I need to just bite the bullet and renew? The only other way I could think of was just using printable versions of the tests for the next few weeks as practice, but maybe I am overlooking something? Any suggestions? My timing is so bad..
Hello everyone,
I am applying as a mature student. I have extensive experience in my field (21 years). My resume shows a rapid and steady climb to senior leadership positions. I am currently a professor in my field.
I am not sure how to approach the length of my resume submission. I am curious what people here think. I have curated the entries to highlight the most relevant aspects of the jobs I have held. I included provincial registrations related to my field as well as recent professional development initiatives. For the latter I stuck to ones that have relevance to either law or the mandates of the school I am applying to. I did include a summary of qualifications on the first page. That has also been carefully curated to showcase only those items that an admission committee may be interested in. With all that said, my resume is at three pages. I notice that most suggestions for law school resumes are one page. Given my extensive relevant experience I was aiming for two.
Should I try and cut a page? Should I leave it as is since I am in the mature category? What does everyone think?
Thanks!
Admins, I just noticed this pertains to the LR section for some PTs only. For example, going across, the list looks out of order on PT 86, LR2:
I also see this on PT 85, LR1 & LR2. It also affects the "next"/"previous" buttons, as these skip around, too.
