Not sure if this is common knowledge, but what is the significance of Harvard's priority deadline? (Feb. 1). Does applying by the priority deadline rather than by the regular deadline (March 1) leave an advantage beyond the normal advantage of applying earlier?

I didn't realize this until logging on to the application today — there's a chance I can finalize everything by the priority deadline (tonight, basically), but it would be rushed. I'm wondering if there's a significant benefit to the "priority deadline".

"From 4 Groups Mixed Translations Flashcards, I've been stuck on two problems and I think it comes from a lack of understanding of how Group 3 and Group 4 work.

Not both /S and O is /S -> /O. I intuitively understand this but I don't understand how the rules make this happen. Same goes for None of the M is /D being M -> D. Shouldn't it be /M -> D?

I couldn't find any replies covering this."

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to the 7Sage team!

I couldn’t have been happier working with Christie and Susannah! They were incredibly helpful, professional, and generous with their time and advice. They went out of their way to make sure the experience was a positive one. I reviewed multiple admissions consulting organizations and spoke to multiple people. When I reached out to 7Sage and spoke with David, I knew I found the right team. From the start, 7Sage provided excellent resources and guidance throughout the process. They made the process as smooth and easy as possible, while still ensuring I had everything I needed and exceeding expectations every step of the way. They helped me put together a strong application package and I couldn't feel more confident in the end result. Really have nothing bad to say about 7Sage and Christie and Susannah in particular. A+, highly recommend! Thanks for making this experience that much better!

Could someone point me to a page listing how we can best simulate LSAT flex testing environment? (specifically -- breaks, what kind of scratch paper/whiteboards, etc.) I googled & found only proctoring software + sections changes, so anything a little more comprehensive would be super helpful. Thanks so much!

Hi guys,

I am in need of advice regarding what to do next? I have been studying for the LSAT since July 2020 and plan on taking the February LSAT Flex (potentially the one in April too). My past few LSAT scores have been in the low 160s while BR is above 170. I realize timing is my biggest issue and being a slow reader doesn't help. I think not being a native English speaker really hurts my RC reading speed. I usually run out of time before i can even get to the last passage. Has anyone been in the same position as me before? Any recommendations on what i should do next? What would benefit me the most to keep doing a PT every day or every other day or intense drilling on weak points? My target goal is 168+. Is it realistic to close the gap by February? I've been studying pretty much full time. Please and thank you!

Although my password is same, my IPad is not syncing with all the work completed on my MacBook. Even IPad’s avatar is a default while my MacBook avatar is my selected avatar. Even needed to redo all work so my IPad to match MacBook yet when I go back to MacBook, don’t wish to redo work from IPad. Is there a way to sync both devices?

What is the difference between AC C and E?

Both ACs look very similar in form, but is it because C says needs of the city as a whole while E just says that serves an area well? The stimulus doesn't say that Chen's plan is what the city "needs" but that it is "better for the city as a whole"

I could be missing the whole point here. When identifying the flaw, I thought it was how Ripley's plan was being attacked because of the reputation of its supporter who places its own interests even at the detriment of the city (felt kind of ad hominem-ish). In this sense, both AC C and E seem to be performing the same flaw.

Please help and thank you

I applied to approx. 15-16 schools and heard back from about 5 so far. I just feel like this cycle is slow and brutal (Reddit is not helping my nerves lol). My anxiety is just through the roof as the weeks go on. I feel like I'm missing so many "waves" and it's freaking me out. On top of that, it sounds like a handful of the T20/T14 schools have increased their medians which means my stats, which would have been good last year, are now not so hot lmao 😥😪 Though know I shouldn't be complaining because I have gotten 2 acceptances so far, I just can't help but stress about the remaining. The 2 R's I received are also just tough to digest tbh. Basically, I hate this cycle and I am dying to hear back from the rest. Congrats to everyone who has gotten into their dream schools. And for those who didn't get their top choices, know that there are better things coming. keep your chin up. I'm there with ya.

Anyways, this is just a blatant rant post and if anyone else wants to rant in the comments, feel free to 🥲

Being an ESL speaker, I noticed the complex grammars were what usually slowed me down. Recently, I was recommended by a linguistic professor to learn English Syntax. Does anyone here also agree that having a good knowledge about syntax SUBSTANTIALLY help your processing hard questions? If so, would you be so kind to recommend some books?

Many thanks,

Leon

I took the retake yesterday, I realized the exam overall was fairly easy. However, I underperformed. I ended up guessing on the last two LG questions because I ran out of time because I spent too much time on the 3rd game which i think maybe got 1 or 2 wrong, and I usually score a -2 to -0. On the LR, I went slower as well. Im so upset that I left some points on the table due to strategic errors, and also for the fact that this was an easy exam and I let the pressure get to me. Now I'm afraid I might not get my goal score. Anyone took the retake? how did it go for you?

I understand this:

A ---most---> B -----> C | Valid Inference A---most--->C

I don't understand this:

A -----> B ---most---> C | no valid inference

Why isn't A (---some---) C a valid inference?

Please Help!!! :_(

Does anyone know when that email is going to go out that lets you pick a time/date for the Flex? When I took the LSAT-Flex in August, I remember getting that email at a random time, and only noticing it because my friend texted me. I don't monitor my email that closely, can't find this answer online, and would really like to take the test on Sunday instead of Saturday. Let me know if anyone can help me out here!

Okay so I’m uncertain if I should put a housing issue as a character and fitness problem. I hosted my boyfriend in my dorm for a week while he was waiting for the apartment he paid for to become open. It’s not on my record and was quickly resolved but I put it in character and fitness the first time I applied for law schools. Should I put it again or just disregard it?

Hey everyone!

I had tremendous success fool proofing the games. Has anyone tried "fool-proofing" reading comp passages with any success?

Or are there any other practice strategies that can help with improvement?

I read recently that RC has gotten more difficult over the years. What are your thoughts? For those of you who have completed both old (PT 20-40) and new (PT 80+) RC sections, do you see a noticeable difference in RC passage/question difficulty? Are your old scores consistent with your new scores, or do you see a dip as they get more recent?

I get worried when people say I shouldn't use old tests as a gauge for how I'd do on new tests, but I'm not yet ready to burn through recent resources to find out myself, haha! (Also, if someone already asked this I would love to know where to find the thread!!)

I am really confused by this question, partially because I'm not sure what the question stem is asking us to do, but then also, I don't get why the answer is E. I think the q-stem wants us to consider one of the answer choices as the conclusion put out by the health association. I just feel very lost by this question.

The critic seems to undermine B, but I guess its wrong because its not something the Health Association would say? A-D don't seem to be things that the critic would undermine. They seem irrelevant.

The only way I look at E is that since volunteers are able to suceed, something stronger than a volunteer (being told by a physician) would also have to succeed and the critic's response is still applicable?
