For the last month I have been taking a full length PT test every week, blind reviewing and drilling in between. My scores have been fluctuating dramatically. In January my diagnostic score was a 155. Last week after months of studying I was so happy to score a 164 (blind review 167). Then I took another test yesterday and scored a 155 (blind review 158). I'm taking them under the same testing conditions each time. I'm getting really frustrated with this test. Currently registered for the June flex and feel like my score will end up being a total surprise, for better or, more likely, worse. Does anyone have suggestions or has experienced a similar thing?

Hi, I've recently quit my job to study for the LSATs full-time, and I'm planning to take the July LSAT. If you are interested in forming a study group to go through the lessons, and eventually start taking/reviewing practice tests, please let me know.
Hi 7sagers,
I want to ask you guys what are some tips you utilize to avoid mistakes on LR! Do you have a certain procedure you follow to be certain that you aren't making a mistake on the LR questions? At this point, I've noticed a lot of my wrong answers on the LR section comes down to mistakes I make from misreading/misinterpreting the stimulus/answer choices. If there are any tips you could impart on this matter, it would be much appreciated!
Hey everyone, I got this question incorrect during a timed run yesterday because I was trying to find a sufficient assumption when for a strengthen question lol.
Oh well, I'm curious as to whether you all think that this question can be definitively declared a sufficient assumption or if it is up for debate; my answer is that the question hinges on your interpretation of the modifier "mostly" in the phrase "mostly native trees and shrubs" and also whether or not a probabilistic outcome can be valid if it is most likely (I have no clue about this)..
Premises: 1) Master plan calls for all trees to be NATIVE and NOT LARGE
2) Three Rivers Nursery sells MOSTLY NATIVE TREES AND SHRUBS
Conclusion: Trees from Three Rivers Nursery is PROBABLY consistent with Master Plan
(E) Strengthens the argument because if the trees are NOT LARGE then (the only other stipulation), then we are probably in the clear
Now that I've had some more time to stare at this, I'm curious though what exactly the phrase MOSTLY NATIVE TREES AND SHRUBS means; I see two or three possible interpretations 1) Three Rivers Nursery sells only trees and shrubs, the majority of which are native to the area (explicitly leaves open the possibility that some trees - potentially the ones that were donated - are not native to the area); 2) Three Rivers Nursery sells only native trees and native shrubs as well as other items (perhaps gardening supplies?) or 3) Three Rivers Nursery sells MOSTLY NATIVE TREES (this is 70% of their business for example) and the rest (30%) is shrubs.
If we accept the 1st interpretation then there is a strong case to me that (E) is a strengthening answer choice. Because there is a possibility that the not large trees that were donated were also not native; but of course this is what a strengthen answer choice does is to increase (by any amount) the support for the conclusion. The one caveat to this is that the conclusion is probabilistic so could this actually be a valid argument so to speak? [This is the definition I opted for during the timed run (and as I mentioned before had gotten me turned around because I got lost in thinking it was a SA and had not contemplated the ramifications of a probabilistic outcome being potentially valid)].
If we accept the 2nd interpretation then my stance is that (E) is a sufficient assumption answer choice because we know the trees are NATIVE and NOT LARGE. If we accept the 3rd interpretation then (E) is also a sufficient assumption answer as well for the same reasoning.
Anyways, what are your thoughts?

First off, sorry if this sounds dumb. My problem is that the highlighting/underlining features seem to be really buggy with the Prep Plus program, to the point I can't really rely on it at all because sometimes it stops highlighting at the wrong part, or won't stop highlighting, or starts highlighting at the wrong part, etc... This annoys me because I'd love to highlight poignant elements like hints to the author's tone or different view points. This has been an issue on both my tablet and my desktop.
My questions are as follows:
For those who have done the Digital LSAT, is it exactly the same as LSAT Prep Plus?
How many of you are using these features for your digital tests via Prep Plus?
Am I missing something dumb here regarding how to make sure it highlights properly? I've tried clicking to start and stop the highlighting process but it seems to be really finicky and doesn't listen. I've found most of the time, right clicking works but still fails about 1/10 times.
Hey all!
I'm looking for reliable study buddy/study buddies. Emphasis on reliable lol.
Would be nice if were both aiming for the same test date (Aug) if not that's fine too! Should be open to zoom calls, constant messages from me (because I'm annoying like that)
A little about my studying path; Im at the point where Im taking timed sections and focusing on me weak areas!
Inbox me or just comment and I'll inbox you!
Hi! Just finished CC and I know I need to do more a lot more work, but unsure what I need to focus on.
So today's conundrum is... Should I take the PT directly following the CC to get a sense of my weakness now? Or work on my assumed weaknesses first and wait before taking any PTs at all...
I'm just scared to disappoint myself, but want to know where to go next. Not done foolproofing yet either...
Hey guys,
Does anyone have any advice about when to go through answer choices just using the rules vs when to make different inferences/extra boards? I noticed some can be done using just the rules while others it's best to make two, three boards.. not sure how to decide in order to maximize my time.
Also, anyone know if spatial sequencing prevalent on recent LSAT's?
Thanks!
Hi all. Asking anyone who's taken a digital LSAT so far. What's the format like? Is it closer to 7Sage's or Khan Academy's? I noticed 7Sage's is much easier to read and Khan's is a much smaller font and harder to read for me. Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone... I had done a drilled LR section (PT 74 S4) and got a -6 on 2/5 at the very beginning of my studies (before completing the CC) and I took the same section again this afternoon and got a -6 again.
Perhaps a good sign is that I got none of the same questions wrong? I've been tracking ALL of my LR misses in an Excel sheet so I went back through the questions I missed on 2/5 and my description of what happened and I did notice that I was able to eliminate the TRAP ACs that I fell into on the 2/5 run so that was encouraging but not sure what happened on the other questions I previously got right. Also, I was able to do -0 when I Blind Reviewed the section; something I absolutely and with 100% certainly would NOT have been able to do back in February so I'm telling myself that there is at least some improvement in my understanding whether or not its showing up on my timed section yet...?
Although I only consciously remembered one question (and not even what the answer was, just that this one tripped me up previously), obviously any retake score is somewhat inflated. Am I just deluding myself here that I'm making forward progress?
How long did you feel like it took you to start to see consistent changes in your LR?
can we deal with necessary assumption Q as Must Be True Question?
I see a lot of people suggesting various magazines and pieces of fiction to read that contain the dense and complicated language similar to that of RC passages. Would printing out already used RC passages and just practice reading those be just as effective if not more so? Has anyone else done this and seen improvements from it? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Hi all!
I am going through the property course and have a question on how I should study. For context, I'm an incoming 1L so I have no idea how law school works (yet)!
Should I be memorizing the elements that are mentioned in the course? Should I know what the main points of the different cases that are mentioned off the top of my head?
Basically - how should I study? Any help/context is much appreciated.
Btw - This course is super helpful and I much prefer reading the outlines and watching the videos, like how I learned LSAT, compared to reading commercial outlines without any context. Thank you 7sage for developing it. :)
Hey so before we could buy individual tests.. the newer ones.. for like 30$ and I dont see them anymore..can I still buy these?
Hi,
So on this question I was stuck between C and D (because each of these answer choices only talked about one of the two things: beetles or plants, but not how they compared to one another). However, the right answer happened to be E (which totally surprised me because "many" warm weather plants could include the ones that the stimulus is talking about, and if beetles were much older than these plants, this could explain why they came up earlier on the fossil record.
Can anyone help explain why the answer is E (and not C and D)?
Thanks!
Coming down to last minute! What are yalls study schedules looking like now?
I am taking the LSAT in JUNE and I was wondering if anyone would like to study/brush up on the materiel? Please let me know.
Does anyone know exactly how long the Core Curriculum should take? I realize that it is advertised as 215 hours - however it seems that a fair amount of that time consists of old PT and various section drills. I am wondering how much time the actual lessons are excluding drills and PTs and I rather not count them if someone knows it off the top of their head #help
Is anyone being mailed a loaner device because of not having the technology for the FLEX test in May? If so, what type of device is it? Thanks!
When reviewing a question in 7Sage, we are told what percent of people selected each answer choice for a problem. E.g. "92% selected AC 'B'"
My question is: What is the LSAT score that hovers above each answer choice?
Is that the average score of the person who selected a given answer?
Hi All!
I'm looking to sit for the August or October 2020 test and I'm trying to minimize my timeline to get through the CC (I'm kind of going at a slower speed just to learn everything and blind review my questions). Quick background, I do work full-time so I study mostly after work and the weekends, I've been studying on an off for a year but (this is it I need to finish LOL). I'm finishing up the logical reasoning lesson on the CC, and I am wondering if everyone works through every single problem set under the lessons or once you understand are you are simply moving onto the next section? Do you skip around the CC or follow it in sequence? I know that logic games are right now my worst section from previously using the powerscore bibles (so I want to start that section asap). Not sure what to do at this rate
Apologies if this is all over the place! Any information that anyone has is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Steph
I wanted to use bigger size paper for the games so i wouldnt have to flip notebook as often in case i ran out of room. Do we have to show our scratch paper? or? Does it have to be the standard 8.5x11 or can it be bigger
It seems the best training you can do for the LSAT is to practice parsing sentences, looking for logical indicators and evaluating arguments. You need to be lightning fast at this. The problem is I don't want to burn through all of the PT material and little if any writing outside of LSAT prep materials is so structured. I've tried news articles, but they so rarely make any kind of argument that its really more of a drain on my time. Any suggestions where I can find some good argumentative writing out in the real world?
Hey everyone,
Are spatial sequencing games found on the current LSAT's? Just wondering if I should be spending a lot of time on it.
Hi all! This was my first time applying to Canadian Law Schools and I just received news that I was rejected from my dream school. This isn't my first rejection so I don't think it's going to happen for me in 2020. I just wanted to find out if it is normal (ish) to not get in on your first try? I'm feeling really embarrassed to let my friends and family know that I didn't get into any of the schools I applied to. Has this happened to anyone before?
