Correct answer criteria

  • Author's agreement with the claim has positive support in the passage, using standards similar to MSS from logical reasoning
  • The claim does not contain anything unsupported

Key tactics

  • Locate the key nouns from the question stem when possible, then close-read the surrounding sentences for support
  • For example, if the question says "perceives critics of modern Economics as...", locate mentions of those critics and close-read their context

Answer choice tips

  • Wrong answers often take claims too far (e.g. "[something] is disastrous" when the author says it is merely "problematic")
