Hi everyone! Does anyone know if you can submit the writing sample after an application deadline has passed? Or does it have to be submitted with or prior to? Thanks!

Looking for some advice from someone in a similar situation. I'm in my early 30's and looking to start my JD journey. I'm not sure what I need at this point to be admitted. Are LORs necessary, especially from professors? Do I need to get a job with a local firm to gain experience in the legal field before applying?

I reviewed the 7Sage personal statement section and therefore wrote about a formative experience, what I learned, and how it applies to my future career in law school/as an attorney. Now, as I'm about to submit my applications, I'm reading the criteria for specific schools. Many have nothing to do with a specific experience and have more general prompts about our interest and ability to succeed in law. Is the personal statement I have OK? Or should I change? Mine is about an athletic pursuit...

I am planning on taking the LSAT in April, and worry that submitting my application at that time will be a little too late for Fall 2020 admission.

If I submit my application (today for example), will my application be treated as if it was submitted at that time once my April LSAT score is out, the application is reviewed, and a decision is rendered?

Meaning, if I apply early while waiting to take a future LSAT, will my application count as if it was submitted with an LSAT score once it is reviewed?

The lor is technically academic (from internship). I am waiting on LORs from graduate school professors but they haven’t come in yet. Should I write addendum that states the other letters will be in soon?? I want to apply now.

I just submitted my applications and I noticed after submitting that on two of them, I list months of employment that conflict with what's on my resume. In the education section I have Sep - Nov but on my resume it says Aug - Dec. Do you think that I should contact adcoms to notify them of the error?

Hello! I graduated this past May and started a job in September. My work contracted ended in December and I decided to take the next few months to study for the LSAT full-time. I'm really concerned about having to explain my resume gap to law schools when I apply. I can't just be like "yeah so I was studying for 5 months." This is especially concerning for me because I want to do a dual JD/MPP (master of public policy), so I'm assuming they'll hate seeing the resume gap even more. My job from September to December was really substantive and interesting, so I'm working on getting a part-time job maybe during the weekend (10-15 hours a week) that is connected to my old job and that would allow me to actually work on a cool project or make some sort of an impact. I'm hoping that would kinda fill the gap, but I would love to hear about you guys' experiences with this issue. Any advice/help appreciated!!! Also, I am considering potentially applying to HYS if I'm able/qualified, so I would be interested to know how those schools in particular treat resume gaps. Thanks a bunch!

I am still waiting for them to come in because I was planning on applying next year. I received an offer for a full scholarship to NE Law if I was admitted, so I want to get my application in now.

Okay so I wrote last July, not prepared enough, enticed by the freebie, got a 152 and cancelled, target score is a 163-164. So that means I have the free retake in April but I am only 35% through CC and will also still be taking a full course load, thus I wouldn't as prepared as I could be. It's for these reasons that I want to take in August but I also don't want to wait the April opportunity.

My question to you guys is, Would a hypothetical LSAT score history of a cancelled score, a 155-158 (if I took in April) and then a score of around 164 (goal score for August) look bad to schools?

Can someone help me understand what this means? I've received an email saying my initial review has been completed and the committee is not ready to make a decision and that a decision will be made sometime in the spring. Is this different from being on the waitlist? Should I consider writing a LOCI? Is there anything I can do to improve my chances?

I'm not sure if I am considered a URM. I've always considered myself a minority being that I was born in Ecuador and moved to the US when I was younger. I have double citizenship and both of my parents/extended families are from Ecuador/South America. Spanish was my first language. I can't seem to find updated information on what groups are considered URM's since some old ones from the early 2000s say that only mexicans/puerto ricans are considered URM's. Would anyone be able to provide me with insight on this?

I was wondering if being Vietnamese counts as URM. I’ve been researching it and I found mixed answers some say yes and some say no. Also does being a first generation college student/law student boost your admission chances?

Is it possible to check the status of an application other than waiting for a piece of mail?

I applied 6 weeks ago early decision. They guarantee response in 4 weeks, but I haven't yet heard from them. I live in a NYC apartment, so there's a that a piece of mail got lost. Wondering at what point I should take next steps (for example, calling admissions office?)

Would taking the LSAT in April be too late for the Fall. I took the LSAT on Monday and im planning to retake it.

I have 2.8 gpa from undergraduate and 3.88 from graduate.

Should I give up for applying to t14 Law school even though I have high LSAT?

or should I go to college to make up my low undergraduate gpa ?

I am planning to take the LSAT this summer, but I want to go ahead and add a Letter of Recommendation to my LSAC account. Do I need to buy CAS on my LSAC account BEFORE I attempt to start the LOR process with a recommender? Or can I go ahead and do it through the LSAC account even though I haven't bought CAS yet?

Hey guys - quick question that I'm not sure anyone knows the answer to....

I submitted many applications on December 7th, followed by a CF addendum (forgot about some speeding tickets) on December 26th.

Does anyone know if amending your file sets your application back in the evaluation line? Apps are evaluated in the order they come in at a lot of places, and I'm worried I may have lost several weeks worth of time due to the addenda...which concerns me given the non-zero benefit of applying earlier rather than later.

Is only 1 bottle allowed at the test center? Or can you take 2. I’d like to take a small bottle with coffee and a small bottle with water. Can I do that?

166 LSAT, 2.92 GPA and three disorderly persons charges. I’m applying to all regional schools where my numbers give me a solid chance. Do you think that January 15th is too late for me to apply and still have a chance? My applications are complete minus my personal statement which I’ve been working on for over a month. I plan to perfect it my over the next week (it’s not quite there yet).
