2-3 months in and 85 hours done on 7 sage, my momentum is slowing down. I only have 15 more hours of logical reasoning left, however, I am retaining less and not sure if I am improving. I took a 2 week break and this remains true. Should I skip to logic games (somehow looking forward to it). Was originally planning for lsat June but now August seems more realistic. Any tips? #help

Hello,
I am scheduled to take the June test and I wanted to know when I should be doing my practice PTs. I know you are supposed to do it at the same time you would take the actual test and I know you get to choose a couple weeks before your test when you do the test. what I do not know, is when the time slots actually are are. What are the later available time slots? Thank you!
I have never experienced test anxiety. I kind of love tests and the rituals involved in preparing for them. When I sit down to take a test that I've invested heavily in - a test whose content I am intimately familiar with, a test that has been granted more of my time than any living being that actually loves me - I'm excited and almost entirely at ease. Such was not the case with the April Flex.
I want to say that the first 2 sections went well. The LR section wasn't too bad and neither was the LG section. But, I lost my shit during the very first question of the last section. None of the AC's seemed correct. I flagged the question and moved on to the next. Same problem. This continued until I was halfway through RC and realized that every question was flagged and unanswered. Though I was later able to get a grip on things and answer all of the questions, I knew that the damage had been done.
The results released last week indeed confirmed my fears. I scored a 163. (I was averaging 168 for 5 months, achieving a 170/171 here and there.) I went into a bit of a downward spiral. Did I really just waste 5 months? Do I not know how to study? Am I incompetent? I moped, then promptly hired a tutor. My first assignment was to take a PT to assess my current ability, being that I hadn't so much as glanced at any LSAT material since April 12th. So, last evening I took a PT and scored a 173. A neat breakthrough.
What is to be made of this? I'm not sure. I will say that is it very easy to become discouraged from a poor performance. But one mistake is by no means a condemnation of your future. Chances are, if you're working full-time and studying >20hrs a week for several months as I did, you're burnt out without realizing it. A low score amid a sea of high scores is not evidence of a sudden regression so much as it may be a symptom of mounting anxiety and exhaustion. It was in my case, at least. Consider taking a mental health break. Postpone the exam. Enjoy your hobbies and the outside world.
Additionally, it is true that the actual test will not feel the same as any PT. The gravity of your performance will likely trigger anxiety in even the most steely of test-takers. There's a reason why LSAC allows only first-time test takers to cancel their score. While we are all different, it may help to manage your expectations for the first LSAT you take. You may do great; you may not. No matter what you score, you will have the chance to get back up and do better the next time now knowing what the experience entails.
Hey guys, I am a junior trying to apply for law schools in 2022. I don't know what should I do for this summer. On the one hand, I feel like I can really improve my LSAT score if I study full time over the summer; on the other hand, I would have no summer internship this year then (but I already had several internships in previous years). I don't know which one is more important, a better LSAT score or a summer internship. I'd like to hear some advice!

For the 174 people who do a retake, I'm curious to know why you decide to take again. I saw a post of a 174 who was aiming for 177. HYS have a median of 171-173
Hey guys, I'm new here but I'm very excited to get started. I've heard so many positive reviews about 7sage and I'm looking forward to getting started with it. I took the Lsat flex in April but didn't get the score I want but now I'm even aiming high with the score I want and I'm pumped. Here's to day 1.
Hello I am looking for a couple of people to meet 1-3sh times per week to BR together. The last 5 exams i scored between 165-169. I am looking for a few people of similar score level or if you are exceptional at RC (0-4 wrong consistently). My strengths are LG and LR and weakness is RC. I would like the people who join to have their strength as RC and weakness as LG or LR so we can complement each other.
I'm EST time but anytime from 10amish --- 8pm ish I would be free to zoom/google meeting/facetime. I am taking the June exam and will be using PTs 85, 86, 87, 89, and May2020. And we can also BR games LR Qs you have trouble with and we'll do the same for RC I struggle with that are not from the PTs we BR. I am friendly and like to joke around and keep things lite hearted, but June is the last LSAT for me so I will make sure we stay on track get our work done then joke around/talk everything else.
DM me or post on here. And I will give my email or cell phone whatever you're comfortable with.
What exactly are we supposed to do if we've watched a video explanation of a question and still don't understand parts of the explanation or need more elaboration on a certain part because the video didn't touch on it?
Just wondering if I'm moving at a a good pace. 7sage's curriculum seems very intimidating and some of the question sets seem repetitive, so I wonder if I'm wasting time.
I am trying to stay motivated and steadfast; but, I'm not sure how I will finish the Curriculum in time to take the LSAT in August/October.
Hey Guys!
I took the Feb LSAT and score a 159, which was an underperformance for me.
I'm now PT'ing in the high 160s (my last two PTs were 169 and 168).
My goal score is 170+
Any suggestions on how to maintain momentum to make sure I perform at or above this score?
Thanks in advance for all suggestions :)
I'm currently doing PTs for the June LSAT-flex and am wondering whether to print them or simply do them online. I know it is best to recreate the testing atmosphere (doing them online), but I feel like it may be better to initially do a few of them on paper and refine the skills we were taught that way. Does anyone have advice?

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has tips on how to simulate the flex on Lawhub website. I want to get used to the interface but also since I'm just taking the flex, I don't want to do the whole 4 sections. (if theres no option I will - but just want to ask in case someone has tips on this) :) thank you!
On the other hand - has those who only practiced on the 7sage preptests interface to take the flex had any difficulty with the Lawhub interface during the exam?
Hi,
This may sound like a basic question. I was originally supposed to take the LSAT in April but I rescheduled it to June. With one month away until that test, I don't feel like I am ready and need additional lessons, time, and a tutor. Is it still optional for me to reschedule my test again to August?
Hi All!
What are the size dimensions for the scratch paper we are allowed to use on test day?
Hi there,
I’m currently looking for a tutor to help improve my RC section. My LG and LR are very strong, however, RC seems to constantly be bringing my score down. I’m looking for someone who can teach me effective strategies. Please DM me if you can help :)
Hello everyone, realistically is it possible to increase reading comprehension practicing the core curriculum? What has been your best strategy for RC? I appreciate any feedback.
PS: Last weekend I got -16 on Logic Games and after taking my test today and studying all last week, I brought it down to -7. Progress !
My highest score I have ever gotten from a practice test was a 152. It was from The LSAT For Dummies second edition. I'm pretty sure it was not an official test, however. How accurate can I assume the test was if this was not the case? Just wondering, because I would like to know if this accurate reflects my ability or if I should just disregard it because it's not an official test.
Did anyone take LSAT exam on Hot Spot.
I started my journey a few months ago. started with he LSAT trainer and couldn't read anymore and then switch to 7sage. I feel I need something different, that does not involved reading. I already have enough reading with my regular school coursework. any tips, sites that are not that expensive? I looked into Princetown, they are asking for $1,500.00 for live classes, which seems a bit expensive for me, and would give it a try if I don't score well on my June exam, for which am still scoring well below average. :( any other ideas would be helpful, thanks
This afternoon I entered a rural courthouse out in East Texas and the sheriff's deputy asked me if I had a Bar card. If I'd had one he would have waived me through security check. I heard myself say, "Not yet." That makes me smile. Y'all. These are just hurdles. This damn test (which I think is actually really fun) - just a hurdle. The years of study ahead - hurdles. Passing the Bar exam - a hurdle. At the end of it, I will practice in my small Texas town. And I'll have a Bar card. That inspired me today. We can do this.
Hello all,
I couldn't find any info in the forums but it's really helpful for me to read out loud during RC and talk to myself during LR. Normally I stop myself from doing this because you obv can't during the normal LSAT. BUT now that it's online and in my home I'm assuming I can do this? Just wanted to double check that the proctor ppl won't flag me for it before I get used to it.
Thank you!
Generally,
(1) If a Q opens itself up to being diagrammed (the indicators are all there, conclusion has them too), diagram it immediately, or
(2) Even when the same conditions apply, go with intuition and what you "know" has got to be the missing link. If time allows on 2nd round, diagram to check.
I do the latter almost every time, but I feel guilty/lazy? Is this bad form? Are there any 170+ scorers out there that balk at doing this? I just feel like my intuition kicks in faster than a diagram.
Ps: I do normally get these Qs right, and that's the only reason why I'm not referring to my intuition as pure luck.
Thanks!!
I scored 152 on April, 155 in Jan.
So many emotions, so much to process. I had my eyes set on T-14 but I'm feeling really stupid right now.
I'm signed up for June but debating whether I should push it back to Aug.
I wanted to apply in September, however, and I'm not sure how I'll do with the experimental section. I also don't feel very confident about how much I can improve over the next few months. The highest I've scored on timed-PT is 161 with highest BR score of 171.
Currently, I have a 9-5 job at Estate Planning firm that's really laid-back with manageable workload (good culture, people are nice, less hours and stress). This job is 5 minutes commute.
VS
I have job offers from 2 other firms with higher pay that's 20, 40 minute-commute with likely 9-6:30 schedule. Sometimes I'd even have to work weekends in these positions but the work will be more interesting (Personal Injury and other, patent).
I was going to accept one of these offers to build on my resume. I thought it'd be good to show that I've worked in various fields to express interest but it will take my time away from studying for sure.
I guess my questions are:
1. Would Aug LSAT be too late for me to send applications in Mid-September??
2. Do you think I should keep my current job and focus on studying even at the risk of not improving very much? I'd been studying from May 2020 to Present (about 11 months).
If you have any advice they will be greatly appreciated.
I'll spend the rest of the day licking my wounds. Hopefully I'll garner enough strength tomorrow to get back up and start studying again instead of feeling sorry for myself.
Thanks in advance.
Update: Does anyone think that I should take both June and Aug? I'll be taking it 4 times.. Some people say that schools only take the highest if you take it 3 times or less but not otherwise.
