I haven’t been doing BR because when I’m done with a PT I’m anxious to see my score. But I want to improve as much as possible and was wondering if there is a significant benefit to doing BR

Does anyone have any advice on how to improve on LR and RC? I have improved a little bit, went from -12 to -6 or 7 but I'm not sure what the best way to keep improving is.
Hey all! I have always had strong accuracy, but struggled with timing. I am making improvements with speed, especially in the LG section which has historically been my slowest. I am at the point where I usually get 100% (or close to it) on the first three games and then have about 3 minutes left. This is enough time for me to set up my game board but not enough time to get to the questions. I usually do a little better at getting through RC but on my last PT I also on had about 3 minutes left going into the final passage. I read the passage and then ran out of time. Anyone have ideas about how to best use an awkward 3-4 mins on the fourth game or passage? Also, any other time improving strategies overall would be welcome. Thanks!
Hi all,
So I just took the LSAT writing portion of the test and though I did show my scratch paper in the full room scan, I forgot to show both sides of the paper. Do you think they'll reprimand me for this?
Is there anyone who did the same and still had their sample accepted?
I'd appreciate any feedback here.
Just submitted my writing sample and after I submitted I noticed 3 small typos (like forgetting an "a" somewhere) - how badly will that affect me? I know this section isn't graded but also know that some schools read it in detail...
Hi All,
I was thinking of taking the November exam, but I am early into my prep. Going through the fundamentals at the moment. I ideally want to study until December so I can get the highest score possible - optimistic about the study process. However, taking January will push out my apps so they are late in the admissions process. Wanted to see if anyone had some advice in terms of the timeline, and if its worth the risk taking the latter so I can score to my potential. My goal is to hit a 170 and my initial diagnostic was a 150 (with half the exam left blank because of time constraints).
As always, I am open to any studying advice or any other knowledge someone may want to shed! Thanks for reading!
Would anyone want to exchange help. I am pretty good at LG but i am lacking in LR. I would love to share my LG methods if someone could help me get better at LR or RC.
Aiming to take November Flex. Looking for a study buddy to work on Logical Reasoning. Message or comment if interested. Thanks!
Does anyone know the support number or email of lsac? my test crashed and i lost valuable time, hoping for a retake
I'm a dummy and I forgot to take off my watch during the Writing sample and just got a notice that it was disqualified.
Since this is self-proctored I just wanted to remind everyone to take watches off! and also to show both sides of your paper since the automated proctor never prompts you to do that...
I’m taking the October test, and I’ve been really focused on getting a lot of PTs in since I’ve only done 9 so far. I’ve been taking 2 PTs per week, with an extra two days dedicated to reviewing my PTs. LG is by far my worst section, I’m averaging -8 (LR -5 RC -6) and it’s really bringing my score down. I foolproof games from previous tests on the days that I don’t PT/review, but I’m not sure if 3 days of foolproofing is enough a week. I’m scared that if I don’t spend enough time focusing on PTing, though, that I won’t get the practice I need before my test. Does anyone have recommendations on how I should distribute my time with a month left to study?
I will be taking the October flex test on my laptop. I'm in the habit of using my L/R arrow keys to jump to the next question in 7Sage, but I am curious if I'll be able to do that on the real thing. (Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't find anything about it on the LSAC site.)
(without deleting all my answers altogether)
Title says it all
Good evening all,
For some reason I can't access any PrepTests. Fortunately I am done with the LSAT, but I forgot that I had to do a writing sample (lol), so I just came on to look at a few previous writing sections. My account is set to expire in 4 days and the message that I get when I try to access tests is that I am not linked to an LSAT Prep Plus account. I never had this issue/this message never came up before and I was using preptests on this site long after the transition to the LSAC Prep Plus stuff. I am wondering if anyone can help me clear up this issue?
Thanks!!
So I have taken the June 2007 Preptest twice. The first time I took it was over a month ago (I didn't know about 7Sage yet) and I just printed it out on paper and completed it on paper. The second time was part of the week 1 7sage schedule and I scored 5 points less, despite about 3 weeks of studying methods from the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim. Can anyone reassure me that taking the exam/reading on a screen can impact your score if you're used to paper exams and do you have any tips on how to overcome this?
Hi Guys! I keep taking LSAT practice tests and my score remains the same - 140. I really want to take the LSAT in November as I am already registered, is 2 month enough time to raise my score to a 155? Does reviewing practice tests help a lot in increasing scores? I am getting the hang of logic games pretty well and reading comprehension I am not worried about. The logical reasoning section is really hard for me. Does anyone have any tips? I really want to start applying for law school but I feel like I will never reach my goal. HELP!
Are the latest LSAT testing dates subject to change for the summer? I noticed the latest date is in April which is unlike previous years which go well into the summer—Is there a chance later testing dates will be created in the future?
Thank you.
Hi guys -
Since the Flex will only count 3 sections (75 questions I'm guessing), do we have an idea of how this scale will work? Roughly, do we know how many can one get wrong in order to still score a 170, 165, 160, etc.
Past Flex-takers, please weigh in if you know anything since you've received your scores!
I sent in my accommodation request on August 11th and still haven’t heard back. Should I email LSAC or is it normal for them to take a little bit longer than 14 days?
Since the October test is gonna be Flex, are you guys taking PTs with 3 sections of 4?
Hello everyone,
I have spent the past 10 days focusing mostly on RC. I am having a great deal of trouble with this section. JY's low-res summary has not helped me one bit. I am having great troubles understanding the passage before moving into the questions. I have started looking into possible tutors to help develop strategies that will help me. I had a call with a company called "Varsity Tutors" today, they gave me a quote of $1200 for 12 hours of 1 on 1 instruction time. The price seems absolutely ludicrous given the amount of supervision.
I'm feeling defeated at this point, and any help would be greatly appreciated
I remember vaguely a teacher in high school telling us to read the answers from E to A for the ACT. Could the same apply for the LSAT? I feel like A is a common place for trap answers.
Hi there! I'm really struggling with finishing sections on time, and hoping someone might be able to offer me some advice. I have been consistently drilling and reviewing LR/RC (I keep a wrong answer journal for LR) and do each logic game I encounter two times at a minimum (once as a dry run, and again upon watching an explanation video until I am able to complete it within the recommended time on 7 sage). I have been studying for 4 months now, and cannot seem to finish sections on time. Going 15 mins over per section, I got a 166 on PT 73. I am well aware that I will have to finish within the allotted 35 minutes on test day, and did go into the test with the mindset that I would only have 35 minutes (I just decided it would be a best to finish the remaining questions, and by no means count this test as representative of my actual scoring ability under timed conditions). Currently, I am able to do the first 10 in 10 minutes with near perfect (if not perfect) accuracy on LR, but its the later questions that seem to eat up my time (I'm usually able to finish the remaining questions with an additional 5 minutes or less, but this was one of my first tests in the 70's and I found LR a bit more challenging than the 50's/60's). For LG and RC, I am only ever able to finish 3/4 games/passages with decent accuracy. I feel like I have exhausted all study methods (10/10 method for LR, using a wrong answer journal, reading passages in order of interest/familiarity, etc. ) beyond simply drilling and reviewing. Sorry in advance for the long post, I'm just really at a loss for what next steps to take to reach the 160's timed, and then hopefully the 170's. For reference, I took PT 38 untimed and scored a 172, and took PT 77 timed and scored a 158 (left many questions unanswered).
Two questions:
Has anyone had success recording a digital take + your scratch paper writing, and if so can you share your setup?
Does anyone have a line on a tutor good for reviewing video and analyzing strategy deficiencies? I've reached out to one of the tutors I've used before (from 7sage) as well as powerscore... still waiting on responses.
Is January 3rd 2020 too soon to plan to take the LSAT?
