Gift to Reccomender

My boss wrote me a good letter of rec for law School and her birthday is coming up on Tuesday. I have a few books I think she may enjoy. Since she’s my current boss, would a book (or any gift past a card) be inapparoriate to give? I sent her a thank you card for the letter but she also gave me a huge (monetary wise) gift for Christmas and of course wrote my law school letter. She’s only been my boss for 1.5 years at this point. The book I’m thinking of giving her is technology related (close to her field)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, 7sagers!

I started running consistently last Fall, and I’ll be running my first half marathon tomorrow and first marathon in November in NYC.

Do any experienced runners have any last minute advice for a first half marathon? Is anyone else running the United Airlines Half tomorrow or the NYC Marathon this year?

On another note, how do you guys think you’ll incorporate running in law school? I’m wondering if I can train for any major races while I’m busy studying.

Hi y'all,

I remain invisible(I'm just silently drilling LG's in my room) but I'm always so pleased to be a part of such a supportive community called 7sage!

Quick question here: I cannot find PT A, B, C and Feb '97 as part of the syllabus portion of the curriculum where I have been printing out every single PT released from the past. Is there a specific reason as to why these PT's are not offered?

Thanks for your help and happy studying ! :)

Edit: I've FPed the LG Bundle, but I'm considering going through it again before coming back to new LG sections. Thoughts?

Since finishing the CC I've done 7 PTs, with a 170.7 first take average and a ~175 BR average.

Section splits: -1.9 LR, -2.7 LG, -3 RC.

For LR there's no particular Qtype that's messing me up, and I think I'm getting the hang of RC now. However, LG has always been my weak point, and I just went -6 on my most recent PT (LG section rated easier).

I'm currently doing 2 PTs/week, but I want to bump it up to three while continuing to foolproof LG. My rationale is that that would give more exposure to new questions (instead of drilling old material) and experience under test day conditions.

Is there a reason I shouldn't be too impatient and instead take my time, maybe go back and drill some older LR sections? Or is it okay to go ahead with the PT number bump?

Beginner question

Hello!! I have over a year to study and try to reach my ideal score. I have the LSAT Trainer but haven’t started. I’d like to try 7sage. Would you recommend the Starter for basics and then upgrade as needed or read through the Trainer first?

My concern is I can only afford the Starter right now, so if it would make sense to wait I can do that as well.

Thank you in advance!!

When folks on this forum reference their progress through the CC, does this generally include the full range of problem sets"

I ask because my method thus far has been to only complete 1-3 of these sets for each section, in order to preserve some of these for later drilling. Furthermore, I'm wondering your thoughts on how important it would be to complete the FULL CC (including all the problem sets) before begining to PT?

Again my whole reasoning for saving the problem sets was to preserve them after I discover my weaknesses via PT'ing.

Thanks!

I've been studying for a really long time. I assume I'm burnt out because things that are "easy" are becoming really really really hard. I cannot focus and I get furious when I'm done drilling a section. I'm missing way more questions in LR than I have in REALLY long time. Frankly, I'm fucking mad at this test right now and I know that feeling that way isn't helping. I want to take a break, but I don't know what to do during the break and it's making me anxious. Should I just take a break from LR and work on games or RC. Should I work on like law school essays or something? My schedule is such that I work part-time as tutor M-Th 3-7pm and I don't like the idea of just being lazy and waking up late and waiting for work to start. What do I do? How long of a break should I take? Please save me from myself lol

So working full time and not being able to study as much as I want is not only getting to me physically (I'm tired all the time) but emotionally - I find myself losing momentum during the week because work takes over and I'm slowly feeling like my law school dreams are impossible. I really want to go to a T14- preferably a T-7 but this process seems so impossible, sometimes I feel like giving up and just trying to get into SMU down the road (which is not a bad school just not what I envision for my journey). I'm really trying not to give up here but it's getting harder and harder :(

Hello 7sagers!

So I had planned to do the November LSAT, but now I am thinking of doing the January one. I have been studying since December. So doing the November test would actually put me right there at the advised one year mark but something tells me I might need that extra bit of time. So now I'm just wondering in terms of getting admitted, how disadvantaged I'd be to do the Jan LSAT? I'm really shooting for a 170, so if I did get that, am I right to assume I wouldnt be that disadvantaged even though I'd be applying pretty late in the cycle?

Thanks guys,

L

I just finished my core curriculum and it’s practice sets .

I am not sure if I should do the prep test as I planned due to I got more than half wrong in most of the 4-5stars LR questions ! Can anyone give me some advices? Should I review fundamental again or do prep test instead? Thanks for the answers in advance !

Is anyone else feeling this way? I’m working a 9-5 job and am increasingly feeling unsatisfied with it. Just feeling like I’m in limbo and going crazy while I wait for Law School moves for next year. Literally can’t wait till I quit this place! I’m frustrated because I need the money but can’t leave since I’ve only a few more months to go...but man this place drives me crazy

Printing Questions

Is there any way to aggregate and then print questions from different preptests on a single document? I'd really like to create a workbook of questions I get wrong for use at a later date but am not sure how to organize those questions.

Thanks

review completed- no decision

Has anyone ever been in the initial review completed- no decision made situation ? It also states that the decision will be made later in cycle. This confuses and frustrates me, since it's my top choice school.

Just want to reach out and see who would be interested in meeting up to take timed exams on Saturday mornings in Chicago? I have a car and can drive to most places to meet. I'm sure we could find a quiet place or library and have a timer (or the 7Sage online proctor) on the table while we take the exam together. I know I usually struggle getting up every Saturday morning to take a timed PT, but being able to sit for one in a group would make it much more likely for me to accomplish and make me better prepared for test day. I'm sure I'm not the only one struggling with timing and taking timely PTs. I'm also open to meeting people throughout the week to do in person BR for the PT we completed.

I'm registered for the June 2018 administration and am gunning for that test date. I'm pretty close to my target score, but absolutely need to start working on timing and details.
