how do you know that plankton is not a highly evolved species? is that general knowledge. i have no idea whether plankton is highly evolved or not. I assumed it was bc its been around for ever..

Excellent last few slides. a lot of subtle BUT very big things happening that i am now seeing more clearly!

I dont understand how choice A could be true, If we know that Bach was a master artist and therefore never creates to express their own feelings. in choice A it says - Bach believed.. well how could we ever know what bach believes if he is a master artist and we dont know his feelings.

I am missing something here! please help!

i got Guarantee is way too strong but I still don't get how you can question the evidence if you dont have any evidence!

take away- I have to get more comfortable and familiar with understanding answer choices like these. There is a subtly that i can only appreciate after I get it wrong but then learn and understand the correct choice...

For question Three -i flipped the Main Conclusion and the Sub-Conclusion/Major Premise flipped. Does anyone have an explanation for what distinguishes the Main Conclusion answer from the Sub Conclusion/Major Premise in this question?

I did this one in my head and it went faster. and i got it right. but for some reason i find the easier problem sets harder! actually doing better and better each time and its getting harder!

I like this as it makes it very clear what a premise is and does and what a conclusion is and does. Essential in for example, choosing the correct answer choices in AP Questions and other question types.

Great Recap! and such an important reminder that you must make the distinction that this question type is about its STRUCTURE! and not Substantive analysis like the many other question types we get used to doing. and bc its structural the answers can be much more general and the questions more abstract. I am reminded now about the subtle nature that each question type has and the importance of remembering them as its so easy to forget yet so essential to doing well!

i got it right and my methodology was correct however where i struggled was in my reading not being detailed enough. It didnt stick with me right away that they were talking about OLD train cars and New Trains Cars. Important for meto slow down and read carefully! words matter!

I got the logic and the flaw and mapped it out right. But in finding and matching my answer choice e just didn't say that. I see that it says that now but in timed conditions I didn't read it that way despite getting it right on my paper

NO! I think from my quick glance at the comments I am not in the majority here. Nevertheless, I believe that the whole point of a drill is to simulate test like conditions and getting the correct answer choice so quickly can take away from understanding an incorrect or correct pattern one is making in their process of an answer. Perhaps the option for this feature would be okay but I like having to take 5 questions of a certain type and then wait... there is a certain honestly in that which I believe will get lost of there is no waiting..

so if the target time to complete this question type is a minute or 1:20 - then who can do all this mapping and contrapositing and flipping and reading all choices to determine which one is correct? I imagine that with practice this will be 2nd nature! but that must require a lot of practice? or am i missing something? #help (Added by Admin)

The "evidence"one obtains by taking a PT test IS scary. I am guilty of shying away from taking PT tests too.

Despite this, I believe the more data you get, the more routine taking the test becomes (same time, same conditions, same format), the more aware one becomes of where their score actually is. This is the preparation required to do well on this test.

It shocks me to hear that people take the Test having not really taken practice tests and are then shocked to hear their score. I think the opposite is the goal. One should have taken the test so many times that they know what score they will get with a high degree of certainty. They are clear! They are prepared.

I will shift to committing to take more PT tests too. Thank you all for sharing and pushing me to jump in. If I do what I say, then I will not be one of those people I mentioned before who are surprised hearing their test score! I want to know and feel good day of! good luck everyone
