ugh, I ended up choosing answer choice D... I had a feeling that C could have been the correct answer because I also had an inkling that other civilizations near Egypt would have been impacted by climate change but for some reason I thought choosing this answer would be irrelevant. I guess I should have gone with my gut.

I'm going through my own individualized study plan (because I sat for the LSAT last year) and I appreciate the option to drill the questions before watching these fast track videos!

I looked it up, and apparently, concessions are an admission of a valid point that the 'other side' makes before you pivot to your rebuttal. So, in a way, they work together. However, they are not the same thing.

Most people believe that San Diego has beautiful weather year-round. However, during the months of May and June, one can expect the weather to be gloomy. Therefore, this widespread belief is an exaggeration.

I think as soon as I understood the invalid formal argument form of most before most:

A -m-> B -m-> C

A -m-> C

It became 10x easier to find the same reasoning in the answer choices.

medicine:

ethical -> when nonuse would be sig more harmful than its use

gov intervention

justified -> when non-gov intervention would be sig more harmful than intervening (AKA answer D)

E was attractive but the use of ONLY was a flag. So, I was confident in my choice of B.

I almost chose E, but I recognized that green carnations being difficult to grow was a sub-conclusion, not the actual conclusion!!

This one was TOUGH but I got it right!!

I chose D but B was the last answer choice I crossed out before choosing D. B was enticing but the word "counterexample" didn't fit because the author wasn't necessarily providing a counterexample (aka another causal phenomenon) they were just providing an alternative hypothesis/explanation.
