Hi all!
I am planning on taking the August 2024 LSAT. Would anyone be willing to meet online, perhaps over Zoom, once a week and we can go over a PT that we all took ahead of time and review it. I am in Chicago time.
I am aiming for a 174+ and currently scoring in the low 170s, ideally if you would like to join it would be better if you were pt-ing at at least 160+ but I am happy to study with anyone scoring anywhere.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a study group for the August LSAT (No LG)
I took the September test last year and scored a 167, and I'm looking for any way to boost my score.
Honestly, I haven't studied with groups yet, and I thought I'd just test it out! Maybe talking about the LR or RC questions and stuff will help me see some different perspectives.
If you're in a same position as me, let me know and shoot me a DM; I can make a discord where we meet once a week or something just to keep each other accountable in studying and stuff.
(And if there's any high scorers out there already, feel free to come by and help us out too :D)
Thanks! Much appreciated.
Hi, I encountered a technical problem during my practice test. I had no time for a screenshot, but what happened was that the left-hand question stimulus was jittering, and the sentences were rearranging themselves. It happened only once, during 1 game in a single LG section. See below example to see what I mean.
One moment the stimulus would look like this:
No two films can be released
on the same date. The release schedule is
governed by...
And one second later, this would be rearranged to:
No two films can be released on the
same date. The release schedule is governed
by...
And so on & forth, making the stimulus extremely hard to read and making it a huge distraction throughout the entire game. I just want to make sure this doesn't happen again, so putting it here. Thanks in advance to the immensely helpful administrators!
Hoping to form a study group of about 3ish people who are committed to sticking to a study schedule with the intent of focusing on LR/RC mastery. Please send me a DM/MESSAGE to let me if you would like to join :)
how likely do we think that one of these will show up on the June LSAT? I absolutely hate these games, but I don't want to waste study time going over them instead of the harder grouping and sequencing games.
Using Preptest 48 as a reference, here's where I'm at
LR: -5
LG: -4
RC: -8
I put some more effort into RC drills since taking PT48, and I'm consistently getting 1 wrong per passage while sticking to an 8:30 time limit per passage (as an aside, part of the reason for the -8 was I took too long on the earlier passage, leaving me about 6.5 mins for the final passage. 3/8 misses came from there).
I'll put a little more work in RC to lock that consistency in, but I want to get thoughts on how I should spend my remaining week of LSAT prep. Assuming I'm consistently hitting -4 on RC, where should I devote the bulk of my remaining time?
I've taken on a new approach of drilling with the timer off so I can take time to understand each question and answer and start to recognize the patterns. The problem is sometimes it takes a while for me to understand a question, and I can be very far off from the target time. Will I get faster with more drilling? Doest anyone else take this approach? or is there a better approach
So my goal is to apply t-14 but I'm in a semi unique situation with my GPA. Over my last 20 practice LSATs I've scored a low of 173 and a high of 180. I'm expecting my official to fall somewhere in the middle. But my GPA is... not great.
I went to college right after graduating in 2013 I had undiagnosed autism and adhd, and was just generally unprepared for academic life. I got academically dismissed after my 3rd year (I had NOT passed 3 years worth of credits) with a 1.6 cumulative GPA.
In the 7 years since my dismissal I started a business that did multiple millions in sales (nowhere near that much in profit lol, it's an incredibly low margin industry), got married, had a kid, got treated for autism, and just in general learned much better habits. My dream had always been to go to law school, so I decided to reenroll in school to finish my undergrad. I've fairly comfortably earned a 4.0 in each semester since reenrolling. While my school technically "expunged" my transcripts of my old grades, but let me keep the credits toward graduation, obviously my CAS GPA takes everything into account. So as of right now the maximum GPA I can have by application season is a 2.49. A pretty significant gain from my 1.6 but nevertheless far below what I need to get into a t14
Finding information on what to do as a splitter has been difficult, because if we were only counting what I'd done since reenrolling last year, I wouldn't be a splitter at all. I would assume that because there's an 8 year gap between the two it's fairly explainable what happened, but obviously there are plenty of qualified applicants that get rejected from t14's each year.
I'm not sure what it is specifically that I'm asking, but I'm curious as to what thoughts or insight people can share about my situation. Anything is appreciated!
I have been taking about 1-2 practice test per week for the past few weeks, and my scores have plateaued around 161. I am take the April LSAT, and I have about 2 weeks until test day. Any tips to jump 3-4 more points? I have taken 11 prep test since I started studying, and plan to take 4 more before I test.
Scores:
2/6/24 159
2/18/24 159
2/28/24 162
3/8/24 161
3/21/24 161
3/26/24 160
Everywhere else I read says LSAT has gone back to having a fourth unscored section. But looking at the three options offered on the prep tests here confused me a little. To confirm, will there be an experimental section for the August LSAT?
The prep test starting page gives the three options below:
Plus, it seems like in the past the experimental sections has always been LR. Is it possible that the August test could have an additional RC question instead? How did the LSAC test new RC questions in the past?
Thanks for your time!
When I tell you this test is beyond discouraging. I’m trying so hard and feel like I can’t manage to master this test. I know I’m not dumb and capable of learning but this test is making me feel that way and feeling as if I can’t get into law school. This is like my 5th time taking it and I just don’t want to study this anymore.
Hey guys, just wondering when you guys do practice tests, do you usually do 3 section tests or 4 sections? I’m writing in April and June and not sure if I should always do 4 sections or alternate. Thank you in advance!
I chose answer A because it seemed like the right answer, which I think is a trick of the test writers as a first answer choice. I didn't read answer choice B and skipped over it.
Hi everyone, I am brand new to anything law related lol and studying for the LSATs. I am watching the videos according to the study schedule on here. I would like to know how I should start with the LSAT live teaching classes? Or should I watch all videos first before taking live classes? There are many to choose from, but which class should I take first to familiarize myself more with the LSATs for beginners? How can I find that class to start with?
God Bless, thanks!
I am sitting for my first LSAT in April and with less than a month to go it is starting to feel real. I am hoping to boost my score by another 5-7 points which feels like a lot but I have a good plan in place for the final countdown...
How is everybody feeling? Prepared? Nervous? If it goes poorly the plan is to take again in August, but I would love to just get my goal score first try and be done with it.
Good luck to everybody!
I was a little confused on why C is the right answer.
The stimulus says:
If an external force intervenes to give members of a community political self-determination, then that political community will almost surely fail to be truly free, since it is during the people's struggle to become free by their own efforts that the political virtues necessary for maintaining freedom have the best chance of arising.
The correct AC for PSAr is:
A community cannot remain free without first having developed certain political virtues.
But doesn't this just restate the premise? The premise already says "the political virtues necessary for maintaining freedom", and the AC is free -> political virtues. So I was wondering how this principle helped.
Thanks.

Hey everybody!
I'm sure many of you just got the email regarding the writing sample opening tomorrow. Does anybody have any thoughts, advice, etc. on completing this? I felt as though the email could have included a bit more information.
Specifically I am wondering how much time I should allot since it seems like we have to complete it in one go once we launch the session. Also, I am wondering how much of an impact overall this has on your test results considering it is not scored.
Any general advice from people who have completed this before would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance and good luck to everybody taking the test in less than 2 weeks!
Hiii you guys I'm looking to find people in my area who are also studying for the LSAT right now and potentially form a study group so let me know if anyone is interested that lives in Western Washington primarily in the Bothell, Seattle, Bellevue area :)
Don't understand the stimulus & why C is the right answer choice. Can someone explain please?

hi everyone! just wondering if anyone who has taken lsat with extra time or extended break accommodations can speak to if they were placed in a separate room with their own proctor? and if they had to check in with the test site prior to testing or if just being approved by lsac and showing up is enough. thank you!
Anyone taking the LSAT in August or September of this year? Study Group? This is my first crack at it so I'm kind of nervous, but I am excited to start.
Hi Everyone,
🔧We're actively working on resolving an issue affecting access to the Review Results of Old PrepTests (PTs 1-94) from Drills/Problem Sets/You Try. Our development team is dedicated to fixing this as soon as possible. We'll keep you posted on the progress!
In the meantime, if you need to access the Review Results of a drill using questions from Old PrepTests, you will need to switch the format of your PT to "Current (with Logic Games)". Simply head to the PrepTests page and look for the option at the top under the List PrepTests title. Check out the sample GIF below for guidance.

Stay tuned for further updates! 🛠️👀
This issue is now resolved and everyone should now be able to review the results from the Drills even if the PrepTests page is set to "August 2024 and later" format.
Not sure if this is just me, but it looks like there aren't any discussions under new PT questions now. But I know that these PTs aren't actually "new," but just mixed questions from old PTs. Is there a way to get these discussions from past PTs into these "new" PTs? Seeing people discuss questions is super helpful to me! #help
Thank you!
Love to build a study group!
