… keeps the, um, mental atrophy away? :-P

I’m on the verge of completing my Sequencing Games training, and because I (s)have no life(/s) am super ultra cool, I made up my own logic game. Take that, LSAC!

I would be so flattered if you will solve this. I think it’s pretty easy (LOL creator bias? It’s nice being on this end), so maybe 5-6ish minutes to solve? Actually, I have no idea.

And now, tongue firmly in cheek, I present to you the following game:

Having scored 175+ on their LSATs, seven smart cookies – @amanda_kw, @blah170blah, @christopherblair, @DumbHollywoodActor, @emli1000, @"Fritz A W", and @nicole.hopkins – were hired by 7Sage to be online tutors for select new members. Can someone look at this question and answer the following question for me:

Is repetition of simplistic slogans meant to be a sufficient condition for being propaganda?

I just wanted to ask what steps most of you take when you are answering questions on RC passages?

Can someone give me a list of techniques/methods that has worked for them?

Also, when you want to find out the attitude of the author do you usually circle words such as however & although to try to figure out the author's attitude/main point in that section or paragraph that start with those two words?

This immediately made me think of my experience with LSAT preparation. I hope this is an encouragement to others.

Just wondered if anyone could provide some insight into how they approached this question.

I fell for the trap presented in E, I took "interest rate hikes generally will be perceived as needlessly restraining a growing economy" to be a sub conclusion. After watching the video explanation, I see how each premise supports the main conclusion as detailed in the final sentence of the stimulus. I then waffled between C and E because I felt that the fragment in question supported both the sub conclusion and the main conclusion, by way of the sub conclusion.

Does anyone have another way of explaining why the argument structure supports only the main conclusion, the last sentence? Also, is "accordingly" a indicator that is seen regularly?

I wanted to ask for some advice on how to correct LR errors during BR (which I hope will follow me to timed tests eventually). I have mastered the art of circling questions I have trouble with in LR (The questions I miss are part of the group of questions I circled). However, during BR, despite spending a large amount of time reviewing - I am unable to get the question right. I am SURE that I have the right answer - the one that I circled during the test. So not quite the confidence error described by J.Y., but still an error in confidence.

Any advice or methods on how to correct this? My game plan is to put these questions together and drill them / write out my reasoning / watch videos / correct reasoning / drill again. But considering that I'm making these errors consistently, I would love some help.

I just reviewed PT62 (exam conditions) and had my worst performance to date. I've reviewed all my incorrect answers but is that enough? What else can I do to help prevent this from happening again and be sure I'm moving forwards, not backwards. I've heard the PTs in the 70s are much more challenging so I want to make sure I get this under control now! Thanks guys!

When I watch the LG videos, I always watch them at 1.7x or 2.0x sped, which means I have to use the 7sage playback because youtube cannot speed up videos. It would be nice if I could make the videos default to that speed, so that I do not have to click "classic playback" button every time.

I don't know if it's just me, but every since I migrated to a new lollipop android phone (no other problems) the proctor app has not been working. The sound cuts out every so often in the middle of a test and does not come back on unless I restart it. I have been using my old Kit Kat Android phone for the tests, which continues to work fine.

I know some conditions such as it has to have 2 types of items(for example, at least one of the 3 features in 6 cars)

After reading a grouping game, I thought I could do it with chat; however, after spending almost 5/6 minutes on game setup, I realized that I could not do it with chart.

We are reviewing PT43 this Saturday. Group member @alexandergreene93 pointed out that the more folks we have on the call, the greater the diversity of analysis and input. With that in mind, I'd like to extend the invitation in advance to those who might be interested.

If you would just like to listen in for all or part of the call without taking an active role, that's fine too. This might be particularly useful for those who are not yet taking PT's but want to see (hear) the BR process modeled by several folks from different backgrounds. All ranges of goals welcome (whether your goal is 155 or 175, you will learn something). We've been getting180's on our Group BR consistently.

I feel like the more RC passages I do the more I'm losing my eyesight *cries out loud*

It's hard focusing on some of these passages.

Good morning, tech gurus.

I often use the 7sage iPhone app to view the discussion boards. Sometimes—particularly on threads that have a lot of replies or a number of long replies—the text does not render. I should say—the text will display briefly and then disappear. While I am able to scroll (usually still seeing nothing, except the 7sage disclaimer at the bottom which is always visible when I scroll to that point), the text of the thread does not load in sprite of refreshing, closing the app, starting from the Discussion main page and re-navigating to the thread in question, etc. The app frame and menu remain visible—but the majority of the text does not display.

This is an intermittent problem but occurs often enough to suggest a bug. I'm in iOS 8.2 on an iPhone 5s.

Not to get into politics... but this is a great performance!!!

I'm new to 7sage, and I just wanted to reach out for some help. I took the February, scored a 153, and that was after selfstudy using the lsat trainer and a tutor. I studied roughly 4 hours day for 4 months. I felt like I did everything I could, and I felt prepared. But yet I didn't even get close to what I wanted. What does it really take to boost your score? How can I get my confidence back? I plan on taking the june LSAT, but I still feel defeated. Has anyone been in my shoes?

Can somebody explain to me why D is correct? I can't find any explanations for this passage.

I was wondering if anyone was willing to share their experience with Manhattan Prep's materials, specifically their Reading Comprehension Strategy Guide. A little background, I have worked my way through the 7sage curriculum, the LSAT Trainer and am currently drilling using the Cambridge Packets, 1-38. All of those things have been wonderfully helpful. I am now PTing regularly and am scoring between 166-171. RC is my most variable section and I am wondering if their guide can help me with consistency. I have read elsewhere (TLS) that Manhattan Prep's materials are good for those approaching the 170's.

Also, a specific question for anyone that has used the book, which PTs are the passages pulled from? Are they newer than 38? I want to make sure that I don't "contaminate" a PT that I haven't taken fully-timed. I can't seem to find a straight answer to that question on their website, their online forum or from their customer service reps. Thanks!

As I am currently practicing previous game sets from PT 1-38, i was wondering how I should set up general spacing strategy for basic diagramming.

From what i understand (what my friends told me) it is said that one game is provided within 2 pages on the actual LSAT test, with general rules with 1~2 question on the first page and the other questions on the next page. So i was wondering...

1. Does everyone generally set up global diagram on the first page and draw out the rest of local diagrams on the next page as the questions come up? I was wondering if this strategy will be effective for the actual LSAT. (most of problems sets i have printed out are printed on one single page individually, which make me confused because they are not printed in the way they should be printed on the actual test).

2. As I was following up video explanations on 7sage, i found out Laoshi Ping's method of coming up with few templates and applying each rule on every local question. But i believe such tactics will be very difficult for local questions on the actual lsat because we will have to copy and re-draw every diagram and rule for each question. Should I keep practicing on drawing local diagrams 'faster'? or Do you process local diagrams and rules in your head while solving those local or additional problems?

Hey guys, I've decided the best study plan for myself is to take Pt's once or twice a week, then go back and essentially blind review by understanding where each of my mistakes were made (all while going through the lessons 7sage provides). On my second practice test after diagnostic, I jumped 3 points. Today on my third, I went down 1 point. In the scheme of things, I feel like this if anything was an improvement. While taking the third PT, I didn't feel very confident with a lot of the questions, and thought I did much worse than the second PT, however that was not the case. Anyways, back to the point of this, do you guys think this is a good strategy? I know I can't expect a point jump every test, but maybe after 20 PT's, my score will be up 10 points.
