What're your guys' thought on NEU Law? General thoughts, advice, anything

I'm applying to UofT law and am struggling with the optional essay.

They recommend speaking about one of four suggested topics, but I'm struggling with selecting the one that fits best, as I already speak to my future ambitions in my personal statement.

One of the options is diversity. I'm of Lebanese origin and grew up in Dubai. Is there any way this would be an acceptable ground for diversity, or is it best to go with another topic?

How often should I take a practice test? I am following the 7sage syllabus and have only taken a practice test once where it was a part of the syllabus. The practice test was form 2007.

Does anybody have the LSAT score percentiles for 2022. I know a 166 is 90th percentile. The percentiles are updated every year but I can't find the updated version.

Looking for advice on whether I should send GRE or LSAT. If I send GRE, I would cancel my LSAT score.

Me: I attended an Ivy League school and graduated magna cum laude. I work in a gov. job with name recognition. I have been out of school for five years. I think I have a compelling story and am a POC. Standardized testing has never been my strong suit, but I think my GPA/awards show I can succeed in a demanding academic environment. I also took a law course at the T-14 law school during my undergrad. Hoping to pursue a public interest law career.

LSAT: 158

GRE: Verbal (164, 94th), Quant (154, 47th), Writing: 5 (91st)

I'm open to retesting in January, but because I'm working full-time I want to be realistic about how much I can improve.

My read of recent news is that schools are starting to move away from weighing standardized test scores as highly as they have in the past. Seems like there is interest in recruiting more diverse candidates interested in public service. Wondering if these factors might also sway my calculus.

JY often says that it's a good idea to scan the question types in a LG before deciding whether to split: if there will be more gameboards than questions without additional premises, then it's best not to split; if there are more questions without additional premises than gameboards, it's worth splitting.

I understand that it would be easy to scan these on paper versions of the test, but I am wondering whether others do this on digital versions of the test? Do people click through the questions to see what type they are before diagramming? Is this time efficient on the digital version of the test?

why isnt the answer c here? it states that precision is preferred and class is imprecise so itsn't it supported that the social sciences should use more precise terms?

Should I be starting with V1 do the whole course than switch to V2? Or should I be doing V1 and V2 simultaneously? What has worked best and made easiest to understand?

Hey guys I could use some advice. I've been on the fence about signing up for my LSAT in either January or February and I am currently scoring between 159-161 with my BR ranging from 165 - 167. My goal score is a 165 but I'm not sure how far out in advance I should sign up for the test as this will be my very first one. Do I go ahead and sign up and aim to make the necessary improvements between now and Jan/Feb or wait until I've done so with my PT's? I'm also not sure what my study plan should look like between now and then if I do go ahead and sign up. I plan on applying for the next cycle so I am not in a rush to get my score sent to any schools right now. Any helpful advice about testing dates and study plans would be greatly appreciated!

I applied to CLS/Chi quite a few times about 3-5 years ago, last time in 2019-2020 cycle.

I used PS-1 the first time and a different PS-2 in later apps over a few years.

Since then my score has expired and I retook this Oct.

All my other application material (Recs, Resume etc) is pretty much the same. I can't get another rec from elsewhere.

Is it ok to reuse the PS, or do I need to write an entirely "fresh" one?

What if I reuse PS-1 which wasn't the latest PS i reapplied with earlier, how much difference would it make compared to writing a new one?

I did not chose D because it has the word 'interest'. But to me this sounded superficial as oppose to beneficial. I chose E because it shows the exact correlation between the two, but i did think it was a strong statement. Can somebody help?
