PT 9, S2, Q12:

I was looking for an answer choice that said something along the lines of non-purebred dogs being just as expensive for reasons other than genetically determined abnormalities and thought B addressed that. Is A correct because it's stating that even if there are genetic abnormalities, it is not necessary to treat them through surgery and cost-intensive procedures because the overall health of the dogs is fine? What was wrong with my reasoning and why is B wrong?

PT 10, S1, Q16

Found this question difficult overall, still don't understand what I'm supposed to be looking for in the correct answer. Asteroid-collision with the Earth was the popular theory but new theory available so question stem is asking to weaken the asteroid-collision theory? If so, how does E weaken? #help

Hello,

My name is Ken Kim. We are a group of Koreans and Korean-Americans planning to take the LSAT either this October or in a couple of years. We have members scoring from 160-175 either on the official test or practice tests. Some of us are committed full-time to the test while some of us are working at a company, law firm, etc. We meet on the following dates at the Gangnam station Exit 9 Wing Study Cafe.

8:00 pm-11:00 pm, Wednesday

2:00 pm-5:00 pm, Sunday

We usually meet and do questions from LR and RC. We match our answers and discuss why each one of us have chosen an answer we chose. The fee for joining the study is free other than paying for the studying cafe fee which is 1,900 KRW per person for each hour (5,700 KRW total).

If you are interested, please send me a message to my inbox. I will direct you further. Thanks!

PT12.S1.Q04

I put this explanation in my "Wrong Answer Journal Template" and I wanted to know if I was at the right ballpark in explaining why what I chose was wrong, and what makes the right answer correct.

What makes the correct answer correct?

I think that the discrepancy is that even though each consideration has equal importance, "the lack of proximity either to markets or to raw materials often causes municipalities to lose prospective businesses" is causing more damage, and "higher-than-average business-tax rat" isn't causing as much damage . I believe the answer that is right shows why having the unequal product of both the considerations is worth while for the municipalities

What makes the wrong answer wrong?

It has nothing to do with the discrepancy being stated

How can I change my process to do better on these in the future?

I was looking at the question wrong. I thought that showing why people would relocate was somehow the discrepancy, but I see now that my answer choice had nothing to do with what was being asked of my and next time I just need to pay more attention

Someone please help. I’ve rewatched the section on sufficient and necessary conditions and I can’t figure them out for the life of me which is really hindering my ability to answer SA and other types of questions. Has someone came up with some sort of paraphrasing that helped them understand it better. Knowing when and how to do the contrapositives is also confusing.

I just finished my first PT after completing the core curriculum. I blind reviewed it and now I'm looking for advice on next steps, do I keep taking practice tests? how much time should I devote to reviewing the missed questions etc. I'm planning on taking the October test and am looking to increase my score by 10+. Any and all advice is helpful!

Hello! I have been studying for the LSAT for the past 5 months and am taking the LSAT in this upcoming September LSAT slot. Before I go back and revise and study all the material again, is there a good time period I should focus on? I know the questions have changed vastly over the last 20 years and so I didn't know if the "Newest/Newer" PTs were better overall. Thank you in advance! :)

Is it better to study for the LSAT where I will take the actual exam? The purpose of this would be to get used to the same environment so that I know what to expect on test day in terms of my environment. However, I find that I am more effective and productive at studying when I am at the library, which is where I will not be taking the actual exam. What matters is understanding the material so as long as I understand it, it wouldn't matter where I study right?

LSAT Writing

I think I'm blind... I can't find the link to take my LSAT Writing portion on the LSAC LawHub account. Am I missing something super obvious?? Where is it?

So I have just been following the curriculum in order, I am about 9% done at the moment. I scrolled through the rest of it quickly and figured I would find scheduled practice tests throughout. However, I am pretty sure there are none. I only saw prep tests in a group right at the end. Prep tests are not the full length tests, right?

So I have to schedule and take my own full length tests throughout the course?

Leading up to your test date, are you taking PTs in order (like doing PT 80, then 81, then 82, etc)? Or bouncing around? By "bouncing around," I mean taking a PT in, say, the 50s, then maybe one in the 80s, then one in the 70s, etc. I understand that more recent PTs are more representative of modern tests, so I'm not sure that I want to use super recent PTs when I'm still 3+ months away from the actual test. I also don't want to get a false sense of security from older tests if I'm scoring higher on them, however.

Hello everyone, I am looking for 1/2 people to form a study group; the idea is we keep each other accountable in our studying leading up to test day. Some things we can do: set a number of (X) sections we have to complete by the end of every week, do some blind review together, discuss difficult questions, share tips etc. Shoot me a private message.
