What would you do if you do not have an option to make a note or low res on the LSAT test in regards to RC since it is a long passage to remember all details ? I have seen Mr. JY explanation on RC and the way he is doing it but I do not know how to make it easy .

It was honestly baffling to see how setting up the game differently (double layered sequencing versus just 1-10 in a line) changes how the rest of the game goes. I'm just going through different types of games ahead of my LSAT on Tuesday and was wondering if y'all can suggest any specific games with a difficult twist to prepare for the unexpected?

Thanks in advance!

For the last one year, I constantly get anywhere from -6 to -13 on a single LR section. I typically score in the low-mid 150s, with my logic games score being the section that gives me that score boost (I initially scored a 143 diagnostic). I do have crazy nerves which I am trying to mitigate by practicing mindfulness (any tips welcome), but at first I thought my issue was also with translation. So I started doing translation drills as discussed in the Loophole and I definitely feel as though my memory with the stimulus is improving. So then, I moved on to seeing the assumption/gap in between the P-->C and calling that out in various questions before I went to the answer choices so I could be better at anticipating the answer. For the life of me, I keep getting sucked into the wrong ACs and sometimes find myself being too strict on my expectations of a wording or being too careless in what I accept as a correct answer.

I feel like it is hard for me to develop a Loophole and I know I need to keep on practicing, but man, this is getting frustrating. Attitude is everything and I know I shouldn't give up. If anyone has any tips on how they approach seeing "the gap" in between the P and C and not getting sucked into the ACs (while being able to finish a section on time....sigh...), please let me know. My goal is to get -3 in LR and I want to believe it is possible for me!

I also am considering tutoring, but sis is broke and I really wanna make sure that's the right decision before I drop that much $$$. Someone pls be my friend and help me in the lonely life

Thx !!! :)

Have you noticed that you score better on sections and PTs at a particular time?

I seem to score better in the evenings, though I have on signed up for my LSATs in the mornings (9:30)

In the mornings, I'm groggy - but when I feel good, I do well because I have more energy.

In the evenings I seem to be more focused and 'in flow' - but I am afraid of being tired by the time my test rolls around.

What are your observations?

I've thought about this for a little while, and decided I'd just go ahead and ask. Anybody test with a mac, and have the Doc on their mac be an issue. It seems random, but once while doing a Practice Test, I went to input the correct answer choice and accidentally pushed open an application from the doc on the bottom of my screen. I'm trying to temporarily remove it, but don't see how I can. I moved it to the left of my screen and made it smaller, but was wondering what other folks have done. Or is this a non-issue with the Proctor taking over my screen?

Hi all,

I am taking the August LSAT this weekend. I have been trying to take a PT every other day for the last two weeks and sadly my scores seem to be falling. I was consistently scoring 169-172 and my last two scores have been 166 and 165. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on this or having a similar experience?

I heard from previous test takers that you can use ctrl-f on the lsat, I've been using it while doing reading comp and it really helps! I just wanted to make sure I won't be penalized for using it on the actual test, does anyone have any insight on whether it is actually allowed for the august exam?

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I will be taking the LSAT on Tuesday and have been studying for 4 months intensely. My prep-test averages ranged from 162-169 up until last week and this week, they've dropped down to 157-163. I'm not sure what happened? I did start using LawHub to get more familiar with it, and started my PTs in the 80s. I had been doing the ones in 60s and 70s before that. From your experience, would the drop in my score be because of the more recent prep-tests? I'm not sure what to do as I'm testing this Tuesday.... It's very frustrating because my LR today was a -11 when up until last week, the lowest I was scoring was -5 or -4.

This is killing me, so I had to share and see what others think. I got a 169 in October (with around 3 months of studying) and a 171 in June (a few more months of studying). My PT average going into the June test was around 173ish, with some 178/176 (BUT those tests were in the 70s, not 80s because I stupidly did most of those early; however, most of those early scores were also low 170s). LG was my worst section originally, but I've improved drastically (thanks, JY!).

I'm aiming for the best school that will give me a lot of money. (Like, a lot.) My GPA is lower than the median for all the T20, so I feel I need a higher LSAT to balance it out.

Final note: I messed up my alarms on the day of the June test (nightmarish, I know) and woke up literally five minutes before my test start time. No coffee, no food, no warm up or other prep. I had gotten the room ready the night before, thankfully.

I've been debating over the past few weeks whether I should just be happy with the 171 or take the August next week and risk a lower score if I have a bad day. I've done two PTs this week - one from the 60s (180) and a redo of 89 that I hadn't looked at since late last year (got a 171 this time, 168 originally). However, my drills have been going fairly poorly this week and I'm kind of freaking out. I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone has.

Hey 7Sagers!

Been a bit MIA on the forums the last month or so but came back to see a lot of test anxiety posts and questions being asked on the forum. I took the June LSAT (awaiting results thanks to writing complications) so I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding test day or really anything LSAT related! I might not have all the answers but I did a pretty heavy amount of researching test day requirements and ProctorU requirements leading up to my exam so hopefully I can answer most of your questions. If anything, it'll be a space for all you to see you're not the only one anxious and stressed about test day :)

Hope to you see there!

When: 6pm - 7pm EST - Friday, August 13th, 2021

Anyone have tips on how to do Blind Review using LawHub? 7sage interface seems to have a good framework for BR, but I feel like it's also important for me to keep practicing with the official interface, even if the right answer is there. Would I just write down on some paper what I was unsure of and make a new test to BR from there?

Also, general question: I took about 20 PTs and the June 2021 LSAT before I started using 7sage and BR. Is it even worth the time to try and BR those exams even though I won't know which questions to do?

I wrote the LSAT twice, where I got a score of 155. On my PTs, I am actually scoring WORSE than I did on the actual LSAT a few months ago. My main issue seems to be running out of time, where I am the weakest at RC. LR is hit and miss; sometimes I get 4-5 questions wrong; sometimes 10.

I wanted to reschedule my LSAT, but LSAC charges as much as it is to re-write a new test, to reschedule. So if I were to write again, I'd need to pay another $200 USD regardless of whether I write in 5 days or not.

What are my best options here to improve in the next few days? I just want a score in the low 160s for the law schools I've been applying to.

Hello everyone,

So I started my LSAT prep with Powerscore books and then got 7Sage for prep tests. I am struggling with LR, and I have heard a lot of people talk about how the Loophole has helped them a lot with Logical Reasoning. I just wanted to ask if it is worth purchasing the Loophole if I already have my Powerscore books + 7Sage? I just don’t want another thing to buy if it’s going to restate things I already know/can get access to with the LSAT resources I already own.

ALSO, I haven’t gone through the 7 Sage CC since I studied with the Powerscore books. Would you guys say it’s worth it to go through the LR 7 sage CC since I am still struggling with this section? I am not sure I have enough time to since my exam is in October.

Thanks everyone in advance for any advice/tips!!

Hi guys, Does anyone else feel like they are improving but it is not translating to a better LSAT score??? Like I feel I'm getting to more questions more efficiently and I have a better grip on the test but yet I'm not improving. I'm feeling a bit discouraged still stuck in the 140's. Wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this or feels the same way.-Eric

Hello everyone,

I've been studying for the LSAT for a few months now and got to a 157 so far, but it seems like I can't score higher under timed condition. Usually I score a 165 without timing, so I know that I can do it. I thought that maybe I should switch things up and try a different study approach. Can you tell me how you approached studying for the LR and RC sections specifically? I'm hoping that using a different study method will help me.

Thanks for the #help!
