Hi, everyone!!

Not sure if anyone would be interested in having a discord group or groupme chat to help proof-read personal statements? Just wrote my first draft and would love to get some feedback. I am sure others are on the same boat! Please reach out if interested!

Hello,

This is the first time I'm taking the LSAT. I am looking for a LSAT study buddy, study group and people to share resources. I've been using the Trainer and Khan to study but I just can't seem to get a grasp at the strengthen and weaken logical reasoning section. Is there anyone willing to take part of a study group? I recently started my studying journey. If you like to take part you can reach me by email. We can connect through Skype, Zoom, text, calls, facetime etc.

Hi,

For those who have used Manhattan Prep RC, could anyone direct me on how to find out which PTs they use through out the book? I'm looking at the book and I don't see any indices of works used. This would be very helpful because I don't want any book to ruin certain PTs for me.

Thanks

Should I write an addendum

My freshman year I had an incident with drinking and got on probation with my school. I just called the office of student conduct to ask if it would show up on my transcript or any materials that get sent to law schools. They told me no and that the only time they report an incident to a school is if they reach out for a "background check sort of thing." Even in that case, they only report "major" incidents. I asked if probation is considered a major incident and he said no. To clarify even further I asked if my probation would be reported to law schools if they reached out and he said "no probation isn't considered a major incident."

Based off his answers, I don't think I need to write an addendum. I'm just so worried that somehow law schools will find out and in the case I didn't write one, I'm screwed. On the other hand, if I write one and they don't find out, I also screwed myself. I know you're supposed to write an addendum about any incident you had, but if it's not being reported, do I need to? I really don't know what to do here. I don't want to write about a drinking incident if I don't have to. But I also don't want it to bite me in the butt.

Advice on Letters of Rec

After I finished a post bac program in 2020, I asked two of my professors to write me a letter of recommendation for law school, and they did. For various reasons I postponed my application to law to school and will now be applying in Fall 2022. Will these letters be too old? I also asked my current employer for a letter of recommendation, which will be submitted in a few weeks.

Thanks!

Nov LSAT -10 pts

I scored way lower than my first LSAT in August and the score is just too embarrassing to post. I did a whole course for months but evening classes didn't do much. Any recommendations on private tutors that aren't crazy expensive given I've already spent 1500 on a course that didn't help me? I hear good things of 7sage so here I am!

To anyone else going through Prep Tests chronologically, was this question a bother for you as well? It's about two people arguing over whether or not they should modify their 36 hour training shifts for prospective physicians. The answer, B, does not to me feel like it is the sound logical weakener that the question makes it out to be. B seems to be unrelated to the topic unless you make another assumption that the degree of illness a patient receives is a factor in why a doctor needs to make better medical decisions not generally but all the time. While this logic probably flies in an older LSAT, I feel that newer ones would write this question off. However, I still wanted a second opinion considering God JY hasn't put out explanations for the LR sections in this Prep Test.

Diagnostic: 145

Today's PT: 172

Been studying since January, so excited I can believe it! :D I work full time so I get up to study at 5am to study for five hours before work and finally it's paying off!

Hello Everyone I am John G. I just took the Diagnostic exam & and honestly I got a 120 on it and I feel pretty messed up about it. But Starting this LSAT Journey is something different from what I am usually going through. But Starting this what is the best way to start studying for it ? My goal is a 170 before the end of 2022. But some words of encouragement going forward.

Taking 4th LSAT

I canceled my first, I retook one and got a 146:( . After I registered with 7 sage for a month, my PT’s are around 158-164., but my most recent LSAT was 146:( (I was so disappointed with myself). Should I apply and then transfer or should I do 3 more months and take my 4th time? ( I know it is many times, I was not intended to do so)

For my application, there are two sections: disciplinary action and addendum. The disciplinary action question reads: "Have you ever been subject to disciplinary action for academic or other reasons in any of the colleges, universities, graduate, or professional schools you have attended"

Long story short, I dropped out of college a long time ago, received three academic probation in a row, and was academically dismissed. Does this count as disciplinary action, or do I talk about this for the addendum section?

Howdy, working on an application that asks if I have ever been dismissed, discharged, or requested to resign from my employer. I currently have it listed on my resume that I was part of a mass covid layoff, but should I also/only write it here? Thinking I'm probably not alone here. :D Thanks!!

I'm literally SO confused about this question. How are you supposed to diagram this?

From my understanding, "Unless A --> NOT B" is equivalent to..."-A --> -B"....right?

So, "Unless A OR B --> NOT C" would be diagrammed like "-A OR -B --> -C".......? (I might be wrong, idk)

The stimulus says, "Unless the building permit is obtained by Feb 1 OR some of the other activities are completed in less time --> the new library will NOT be completed on schedule."

And if you diagram this, it's equivalent to...."-obtained my Feb 1 OR -less time --> -completed on schedule...".....? But this seems to be wrong, according to the answer key.

Can someone explain to me how adding more than one sufficient condition to an "unless" statement changes how it should be diagrammed?

Admin Note: Edited title. Please use the format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of the question"

Hi Folks,

If you are in the same shoes as mine, let's just pat on our shoulders and encourage each other.

I am in a few weeks throwing my cast to a wider net of law school ocean, and 7page predictor rates are just a painful slap in the face. I cannot sleep with nightmares that I will receive 0 acceptance letters.

My NOV Lsat score did not move a budge from the disappointing Aug score after months of studying. I am taking my final shot in Jan but not hopeful..

I have finalized my PS (finally) and Resume, and biting my nails off to finish my DS, which I have underestimated how difficult it is to succinctly convince that I can bring any kind of diversity to the community. I wish I had started sooner.

I already feel so behind the cycle and every minute a spot I dont even have a high chance is being taken.

I am just suffering from low confidence that my package is just not competitive enough, which makes me hold on to it, but only to waste precious time.

Anyone experiencing the same anxiety at this point of time, how do you cope?

I am a senior in undergrad and plan to work for 2 years before attending law school. My current plan is to take the LSAT in the spring/summer of 2023 and apply to law schools in the fall of 2023. I just heard about LSAC's past announcement that they'd be removing logic games from the LSAT in 2023, however, and it's making me question if I should change my plans some.

I am yet to start studying for the LSAT, but I'm concerned for a couple of reasons. First, from what I've heard, it seems the logic games are the easiest section of the test to "master." Therefore, I'm concerned the test will be harder without them. Second, and perhaps more importantly, if LSAC creates a totally new section for the LSAT to replace logic games (meaning they don't just add an extra LR or RC section to replace logic games), there will be no official practice tests to practice for the new section. Seeing as past tests seem to be an integral resource when prepping for the LSAT, this seems like a bit of a nightmare.

All of this brings me to ask a couple of question:

  • Does anybody know when exactly (meaning which month of 2023) LSAC plans to remove logic games from the test?
  • 2.To me, it seems that it would be wise to take the LSAT before the logic games are removed (because of LG being the easiest section to master and there being ample practice tests to study for them). As aforementioned, my plan has always been to take the LSAT in the spring/summer of 2023. Therefore, I've always planned to start studying for the LSAT after I graduate in May of 2022 (because I'd like to have at least a year to prep). If logic games may be removed by January of 2023, however, it seems it may be wise to take the LSAT before then. So if I started studying in May, that would only leave me 7 or 8 months to study. So would it be wise for me to instead start studying for the LSAT after my final exams end in December and take it before January of 2023? I have a pretty high GPA and I'm only taking a couple of classes before graduating next semester, so I have no concerns that studying while in school would hurt my GPA.

Apologies for the long question! I just don't want to mess up studying for the LSAT. I'm super appreciative of any responses or input!

Hi- I'm a non-trad with work experience, parenting-related work break, etc... I am only interested in two local schools for their weekend program (I'm in NJ) because of family duties. So I definitely need the unlimited edit PS help; I'm wondering if I'll get advice regarding other questions I have, like the content of my resume, whether I should delay applying until the next cycle, whether my background would be suitable for a diversity statement... those kinds of things.

    Hi everyone!

I just did a full LG section and was able to get through games 1-3 with almost 3-4 minutes under the recommended time. The fourth game, however, took me 7 minutes over the target time, which I felt was way too long. However, I finished the section within 35 minutes and got -1 on the entire section.

I will most definitely review this fourth game, but Im curious to know if this timing in game 4 means that there is a crack in my understanding? I know that on the actual test day, we can't know how long it took (or should have) taken us to do each game, but I am not sure what to make of me taking over 7 minutes the target time but still getting -1 over the entire section.

Would love to know yall's thoughts!
