Went from a 143 diagnostic in July to a 163 in November. So happy I discovered the site and decided to go for the starter course :)

Just curious to see if submitting the week before Christmas helps rather than waiting past new years
I'm thinking that maybe C is wrong because the mergers does no good to the market share, and the newly merged companies still have to gain market share by purchasing competitors. However, D indicates that since some producers have been squeezed out of the market, there are some space for new companies which can gain their market share through more aggressive marketting. That's why D is the correct answer. i'm not sure if my explaination is correct, please help.

Do you receive it via email? Do you have to check LSAC?
It’s almost necessary at this point. My December exam score was a 145, and I could not be more devastated. I didn’t have much practice before then, but still. I’m taking the January exam and my goal is to try to go up 10 points.
Is it possible? Should I give up?
How many hours should I study a day?
Hello~
RC is currently my biggest struggle and I want to incorporate possible non-LSAT related ways to improve my reading comprehension skills. Maybe some books or podcasts? I am open to all recommendations!
Also if anyone has any tips on how to improve RC, I would really appreciate your feedback! What I do currently is pause after every paragraph to summarize what I just read + pause at end of whole passage before questions to put together the structure of the passage. Hence, I do well on broad questions but I struggle with questions that require memory of detail.
Oh also (sorry it's getting a wee long) I used to get significantly more questions right when I solved the RC problem sets from the CC compared to when I take full practice tests. I am hoping it's because I am not familiar with the mental stamina required to take the full length tests. But if anyone has had a similar experience, please let me know what steps you took from that point!
Thank you in advance!!
This should be pretty quick to answer: is the optional essay the same thing as a diversity essay? I realize there's probably not a blanket answer for all schools, but both Boston College and Boston University have optional statements that they describe as:
"You may upload an optional statement, regarding any economic, cultural, social, or other factors that you wish for us to consider when reviewing your application." (BC)
"In addition to your personal statement, you may wish to provide another essay. This essay is your opportunity to discuss any aspect of your background or life experience that you believe will enhance your ability to contribute to the diverse BU classroom experience and community. BU Law values and recognizes the importance of diversity. BU Law continues its long-standing tradition of providing opportunities for persons of all backgrounds and providing the excellent training to which a diverse classroom is indispensable." (BU)
Should you watch the videos for the questions you got right? Is that recommended or just a waste of time?
Where does the time constraint come from? Are we allowed to change it, or should we even?
I created a problem set with all the LR questions from 19 and it came out to 32 minutes, although it was only 24 questions.
Then I tried creating a set with the other LR section from 19 and it came out to 34 minutes, but with 26 questions. Does the time given to do the problem set reflect how long we should take when doing these questions during the actual test?
Hi all,
I took the Nov test (first write) and was unfortunately, 10 points down from my PT. Pretty disappointed as I have been studying full-time since May. I already applied to law schools in Canada and the last score they take for this cycle is the Jan test. I have just under a month to study for the Jan test, and would appreciate any advice on the most effective study plans, tactics, and tools that you've used to succeed. Thank you! :)
if writing very unusual circumstances in personal statement- - - do I also need diversity statement?
My personal statement is going to cover the following:
foster care -> drop out in 9th grade - > community college - > work with youth -> graduate college -> social work career -> masters of social work -> law school
Should I also discuss these factors in a diversity statement or will the personal statement be enough???
Im guessing there aren't too many 9th grade drop outs applying to law school.
Suggestions appreciated.
Hi all,
I am a senior graduating a semester early with a 3.75 UGPA from a top-30 undergrad and have very strong soft factors (varsity athlete, work with indigenous people, and worked with the ICC.) I was averaging 163 on PT's but got a dismal 156 on the November Test. I am curious if I should bother applying and hoping for the best or to just do a gap year and change my study methods? My goal is top 20. Currently planning on ED WASHU.
I took the LSAT for the first time in October 2019, and I studied everyday for 7 hours a day from May 2019 until the October test. I got a 152 which was well below my goal score, of a 165, and I signed up for a retake in January 2020. However, I'm really struggling to find motivation to study because the LSAT takes a large toll on everyone lol. Also, I'm at the point that I felt I did everything I could've done to study for the October test and I'm not sure how much better I'm really going to do on this one, especially because I wasn't able to study for a month after the October exam. Any words of encouragement and tips?
I got my score today. my score and GPA are well past the 75th percentile for the school im looking at. I will also have a masters degree at the time of application. Im wondering if there is any way to find out how much financial aide these schools are willing to give in relation to score/gpa
I’m waiting in line to see Star Wars. I’m doing some LR. Is my divided focus conducive to... undoing some of my learning?
The same question could be asked of waiting rooms in a doctor’s office
I'm devastated now. I scored a low 170s in the October test, and I screwed up the November test and got 5 points lower. I am aiming for T14s with a decent GPA and have already sent out my applications at the beginning of December. Will that drop significantly affect my chance? Should I provide an addendum to explain? Any suggestions would be helpful pleeeeeease!
Should I try applying to a reach school with a median LSAT 4 points above mine? My GPA is 0.15 above their median - but not sure if that's enough to balance it out! Anyone with success stories please share :)

Hey friends, I just got my LSAT score back. I was looking through my item response sheet and two questions were blank where my answer was supposed to be. I know for a fact that I answered every singe question because I remember having time at the end of each section to check my answers. Should I contact LSAC about an error? I know there's probably very little to be done but damn.. I swear to god I answered every question.
Hi how can I take one or two sections digitally and BR? Currently to take a section you have to start with sec 1 on a pt. how can i do like sec 2+3 digitally of a pt and not have to do sec 1
I sat in for July and November, just got my score back for November and only made one point higher. Should I try to take it one last time in February? I am applying for fall 2020. If I could get my score up just 5 or 6 more points it would almost guarantee I would get into my dream school. Meanwhile with the score I have now my chances of getting in are slim.
I got a 158 on the November LSAT, I have one more chance to write in January for 2020 admissions, should I write again??
(Applied to Ryerson, osgoode, queens, western, Ottawa and Windsor)
cGPA: 3.25, last two years: 3.8, two LSATS: 151, 158
Hello all,
SO I am planning on taking the January 2020 LSAT. I have been studying since August and it has been such a wild ride of studying. IN November, I started doing untimed practice tests, and my scores were averaging 165+. I wanted to get a feel for the questions, games, etc. HOWEVER, a month out from the Jan LSAT, I started taking timed PTs, aka today, and my score lowered to a 149. I have never been good with standardized testing, but I do know each question type etc. What I am freaking out over is, will a month be enough time to get situated with timed PT's? I understand the material and I am not sure what to do about my current problem. I am also freaking out ahhaha. Also, I am BRing and everything. I feel like if I do not close the gap a week out before the Jan LSAT, I might postpone.
PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE PLZ PLZ COMMENT.
EDIT:
I also want to add that I took another PT and scored a 151. Also, LG games I have down, but the speed is what is killing me :)
My June score was higher than my November by 4 points will this affect me? Or do they look at the highest score? The school is not T14 (I can’t leave my city so just applying locally).
Hi fam, I just finished my last exam of the semester, and I thought I'd return to this safe place and soak in the eagerness for law school that has been stripped from us 1L in the past four months. Oh and also to contribute to the community that has so graciously answered my questions when I was applying to law school. If you have anything you would like to ask about law school, please comment below. Judging from the memes on the Facebook group, my experience should be roughly the same as other 1Ls...
