thanks for rolling it out in time. I started using this and i noticed some problems with the interface on an RC section:
i prefer pink while reading the passage. But when i move to the questions, the highlighter color defaults to yellow. Why is that? just keep it to the last used color.
idk how to explain this without showing like a screencap but sometimes, usually while highlighting parts of the answer choices, the passage view "jumps" or shifts to a different part of the passage from where it was while i was attempting the question. This is annoying AF. Especially for those questions involving 'meaning in context', implied, function a paragraph, etc.
I need the dang passage view to STAY consistently at where i leave it as I move forward in the questions.
Before you could place the text cursor in the middle of a WORD and click+select would highlight the entire word. Now clicking+select will just highlight the word partially. Makes the word look like a half lit neon sign.
overall all the design changes have been some really counterintuitive features. But these problems come across as erroneous rather than a makeover. So it would be nice to have them fixed.
I really don't like it, takes lots of extra time. I'll just give up highlighting and try to keep it in mind. In addition, I can't see what's the meaning for it. Even in real life legal work, I use highlight a lot to improve my efficiency.
Will there be a way to edit the color, background and font settings (the setting depicted by the little person) before we start the section for the actual LSAT? Currently in 7sage and in the lawhub demo we cannot.
Is orange still the search highlight in this new interface? I use underline rather than orange because if using the search function it doesn't show... as far as blue, if those are still what they highlight, I'd want the underline function as well. It seems like they are making it harder to use the search function by overlapping these colors..
chat! I took a PT today, it wasn't too bad actually, I actually was mad when I woke up to this, but give it a chance before you panic (if you hate it still...I'm so sorry, I also hate the unnecessary changes since it was good enough!)...I still have to get used to it more...
they even gave me a blue highlighter!!! Which is great for RC since I used to underline examples and was hard to see...so now I can use blue for those!
Downsides I hate:
The slight delay (maybe it's because I'm using Safari?) is a little scary...I keep thinking...will it highlight what I selected or not? 😭
I love the violet/lavender accessibility settings for my eyes but LSAC got really bad colors imo...I think I have to either switch to white setting or learn the new highlight colors (WHY IS THERE PURPLE AND MAGENTA ON TOP OF PURPLE?!) 🫠
@beepbopboop I can see how it was kind of a shock for people to transition but I have to completely agree with you, I believe the highlighting is much more efficient than before.
doesn't seem to work on chromium either, can confirm on linux at least. firefox seems to work fine though, can use that if chrome/chromium doesn't work yet
Lol....and I thought the pervious changes were bad. This one takes the cake. Absolutely wretched for me and certainly many others, since I like to highlight as I read. Having to stop my flow in order to select the cumbersome highlight button will do nothing but waste time and cause people to lose focus. I'd guess LSAC is doing this purposefully to make people perform worse to keep scores lower.
Honestly, shame on LSAC for incorporating these useless, unnecessary, and time-consuming features. I personally see no benefit to them. If anyone reading this would like to voice their concerns, feel free to go to this link, select "LSAT Prep," and describe your frustration.

This update pmo and the fact that this is the LSAT's general interface is nasty work. Why are we making something that is already hard MORE difficult?

Honestly so difficult to use, takes so much time to have to click highlight every time! Am I missing something?
Hi everyone!
If you're having trouble with the new highlighting feature, here are a few things to try:
Update your browser to the latest version
Clear your cache and cookies — go to your browser settings, find "Clear Browsing Data," make sure Cache and Cookies are checked, then click Clear
Disable browser extensions that may interact with text selection, such as Grammarly, and try again
Many students have reported that these steps resolved the issue!
If you're still experiencing problems after trying the above, please reach out to us directly at studentservice@7sage.com and we'll be happy to help.
The highlighting feature does not work for me when drilling sections :( The pop-up doesn't appear. Is anyone else experiencing this?

@Helbel I reached out via email to help with the issue. Please check you inbox. Thank you!
I actually really enjoy this new format!
@victorsplitter27 Same! It takes a second to get used to, but I feel like it's easier. It's easier to remove highlighting as well
@beepbopboop I can see how it was kind of a shock for people to transition but I have to completely agree with you, I believe the highlighting is much more efficient than before.
Not seeing the highlighter option at all, I am on a macbook using google chrome @Kevin_Lin
@Nexxawillpass Highlighting text in a stimulus doesn't pop up the highlighter option? What do you see?
@Nexxawillpass Same issue I have.
@zamzammohamed224 Student services should be in touch about this.

@AgnesAlojado I gave it another try and it is working now! Thank you for reaching out!
this pmo, we neeed to speak to LSAC and tell them to not make things do difficult

Who's the governing authority of LSAC? Can we report it to somewhere??? Horrible ideas!
@Hahahahahar Feel free to go to this link, select "LSAT Prep," and describe your frustration.
@jt8618 I did! Still feel so mad!
This maybe only me problem, but I can't see the highlights even when I highlight the specific text. Any one know why i have this problem?
@zamzammohamed224 im having the same issue!
@zamzammohamed224 having the same issue!
@zamzammohamed224 yes same as well! i can't see the highlighting feature when I try to highlight :(
@zamzammohamed224 same here
Is this being implemented on upcoming exams?
@BriannaSeckel Yes, LSAC will use this format going forward: https://www.lsac.org/blog/interactive-demo-minor-changes-test-ui
I don’t like it, takes more time
Good lord. How frustrating.
what happened to the underline feature?
@hwny LawHub doesn't have that feature anymore. https://app.lawhub.org/lsat-demo
What about the underline feature? Has this been removed?
@rednike321 LawHub doesn't have that feature anymore. https://app.lawhub.org/lsat-demo

what makes these people think these changes are in any way helpful? I swear LSAC is diabolical.
