evals?

When doing my first letter of red I put my prof. for a evil. she did it too. But my other prof. I just left it. I heard since they're a new thing is it even worth assigning it to schools? I did it to "increase my chances" but I think someone on here said they're annoying to the admissions office. I think it was pacifico lol not sure. Should I just delete the eval? Thanks for your inputs!

Feb re-takers, what do you suggest is the best way to go about PTing? I did all of the 70+ tests, most of 50-69, getting ready for December, so now I worry that my LR drilling isn't as effective because I recognize a fair amount of the questions. For example, I just did PT 63 and I recalled quite a few of the LR questions as I've done these questions before in preparation for December. LR is my strong point, and I know I can make gains on LG/RC too, but I wanted to bolster LR because there is a small, and some what trickier shift in LR stimuli in PTs 70-76.. Through the analytics on here I can see that I've dipped a considerable amount in the 70+ tests in LR. Should I just focus on the more recent exams and BR the hell out of them, or should I focus on earlier exams like in the 30s/40s for fresh(er) questions ? When it comes to RC and LG, I feel that those can be recycled because you can always get quicker in your deductions for LG and more proficient with RC.. Thanks for the input!

Has anyone gone back and identified the percentage of where the Fake section in the Test's lie? As in 20% it is first 30% it is last etc? I am just curious. Also it can show up anywhere correct?

I feel like this is a really silly question, but I tried searching on Google and on the forums here and couldn't find anything... So here goes: When do we get to write our names on the answer sheet on test day?

I've been using the 7sage proctor and the section 1 instructions aren't long enough for me to write my name (I have a very long name...), and the proctor mentions to not write on the answer sheet. So do we get to write our names before the section 1 instructions are read? Maybe someone who's written the test before could shed some light on this (laughably simple) question... Thanks in advance!

I believe I have a strange situation regarding my LSAC GPA calculation. In high school I took dual-credit courses with the local junior college that partnered with my HS. We could take these courses that would give us college credit but would not count towards our college GPA; instead, the grade we received counted towards our HS GPA. The JC represented these courses on the transcript as a 'B' that was not calculated in the GPA and my University did the same with the added detail that it was a transfer credit from the JC. However, LSAC included these B's in my cumulative GPA. The coincidental part is that my cumulative GPA is the same whether or not those grades are included in the calculation since my cumlative GPA is a 3.03. The only difference if these grades are included is that some semesters they decrease my cumulative and other semesters they increase my cumulative. If I had actually studied in college and had a 4.0 I would be pissed that these B's were included in my cumulative when I actually earned A's as far as my HS is concerned, but since it's the same either way I don't know what I should do. Should I contact LSAC or the JC to say that these grades should not be included in the cumulative calculation? I would think it would look better to Law Schools if these courses were just listed as credits instead of B's even though the ending cumulative GPA calculation is the same no matter what.

Anyone have any thoughts on this confusing situation? Thanks!

I know speed comes with accuracy, but I am having trouble over 15 questions per LR section. I usually run out of time between 13-15 questions. I know I can't answer every single question, but I at least would like to have time to answer 20 per LR and I'll take random guesses with the remaining ones

Does anyone know what the protocol is for requesting late applications to be considered for review? i.e. University of Toronto & Osgoode Law Schools.

I'm awaiting the Dec. LSAT score release and hoping to go the a U.S. school but am applying to local institutions as a safety net and can't gather much from relevant information from their websites.

Does one just send an e-mail requesting a late application to be considered and wait for a response or is it best to send the e-mail with unofficial transcripts and resumé attached?

Thanks so much advance!!

Hi!

I kind of thought I would never make this post. I'm a long time 7Sage user!

I wasn't going to apply this cycle (I thought my LSAT was too low), but my boss urged me to apply and I was accepted early in the cycle yesterday. :)

I could not have done it without 7Sage and this amazing community of people.

& I am so happy I never have to touch an LSAT book again. :) mwahaha. I'm also from Canada :). YAY ok. Thanks 7Sage!!!

Corey and Nicole are going to help us get our principles down. They have a little pre-lesson homework: understand the pleasure principle.

We no longer need to be on the lookout for the link for this conversation link.

Here it is: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/380207005

Only 100 spots are available! First come, first served! :)

Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at 8PM ET: Principle LR Questions with @c.janson35 and @nicole.hopkins

Fine Print (NOTE: you all want to be lawyers; reading fine print is what lawyers do, so READ IT!)

  • We are NOT going to use Skype for these sessions.

  • Instead, we are going to use GoToMeeting.
  • There is a space limit of 25 per session. This limitation is dictated by both GoToMeeting and the function of these workshops, which is interactivity. If we had more people on, the interaction would be scant, at best.
  • Approximately, one half hour before the the scheduled workshop will begin, a link will appear on the forums, inviting you into the workshop. We now have a space limit of 100. Yay!
  • If you want to attend these sessions, you MUST click that link.
  • Here’s an FAQ on GoToMeeting.com: http://www.gotomeeting.com/meeting/online-meeting-support
  • Then, download the application (for your computer or mobile device). No need. Just click the link.
  • Attendance will be on a “first come, first served” basis.
  • Once the workshop is full, it’s full. Nothing to be done.
  • Chances are, if you’re going to be late, there is a strong possibility you won’t make it in.
  • There will be no recordings of interactive workshops.
  • If there is demand, we will repeat interactive workshops at different times.
  • These groups work best when folks from ALL stages of prep and with all different goals join in! Not just for "super-preppers" and definitely not just for the casual LSATer (does such a person exist?).
  • The only expectation anyone has for these calls is for you to have fun and ask questions as you desire. We are just a bunch of LSAT lovers who gather via GoToMeeting and intellectually slaughter each test.

I am getting really flustered to be completely honest. I am not getting much better at this test due to the fact that I just tend to overthink every single thing. There are so many drawbacks to that 1. I run out time because obviously if I am overthinking everything, I will never have enough time 2. Because I am over thinking I am almost always changing from the right to the wrong answer because I wrongly make wrong answer sound right by doing this overthinking process. It sounds practically insane to ask someone how to get over this "overthinking" mindset, but I am going to ask anyway. Has anyone ever gone through this experience, or is going through this experience, and how did you, are how are you, getting over it. This over thinking process is very prevalent in my BR where I have unlimited time to think about the answer.

I was just curious if anyone knows much about the loan forgiveness for those who opt to practice public interest law. Is it a program sponsored by the individual schools, the employers (gvmt, non-profit etc)? Do you know if there are a lot of restrictions involved? Is anyone planning on utilizing this option?

If I have someone writing a rec letter, is he allowed to submit two letters (one that is school specific and one that is general for all law schools)? Would I send him the rec letter request twice?

    Please let me know!!

    Hey friends—

I'm working on a special something-something. I need your help!

In the comments, please share (ranging from one-word answers to full lengthy posts) your answer[s] to this question:

    What makes 7sage unique?

    Here are some examples:

—Complicated ideas broken down in simple digestible language.

—A dose of inspiration to help you push through the pain and self-doubt.

—An honest approach that presumes that you have the capacity to understand even the hardest questions on the LSAT.

But we want to know ... what makes 7sage unique FOR YOU? Any part of the 7sage experience—from the analytics to the forums to the problem sets to the Dragon Ball analogies.
