Hi. I need help with something. I know how embedded conditionals work. For example

A---> (B---->C) then it becomes A and B ----->C

But what happens if its (A--->B) unless C

Negating sufficient, does it become (B/----->A/)----->C. Or conversely, C/------>(A----->B)

And then does it become C/ and A---->B. Its a question from PT 74 S2 Q24. Its really tripping me up

I'm confused as to why we ruled out spent fuel rods on the basis that they never contain "significant" quantities of tellurium isotopes? In the first sentence of the stimulus, it just states that they found "radioactive isotopes of iodine, tellurium, and cesium" which doesn't mention the quantity so I'm confused as to why J.Y rules out fuel rods for that reason? There could be SOME tellurium, just not significant amount.

LR Adivce

Hello, I am currently doing untimed practice sections for LR and I am finishing sections in 75 minutes and getting around -4- to -7. Should I be reviewing the strategies more, drilling specific questions type or keep on practicing with individual sections until I get my time down? I have read the Loophole book and it definitely simplified LR for me.

Hi there,

I wrote the August LSAT and scored a 149, so I have registered to take the November LSAT. I studied this summer with PowerScore books and Khan academy, but really enjoyed the 7Sage LR videos that are on YouTube- which made me decide to join 7Sage for access to the Logic Games videos in particular. I was PTing in the high 150s before I took the test, so getting a 149 was a bit of a shock.

My excuse/disclaimer is that I am currently on parental leave and home with a now 4-month old baby, so studying has been tricky. I'm excellent at managing my time during his naps and after both my kids are in bed, but I am well aware there is a lot of ground to cover in the 7sage curriculum and I won't have enough time.

My question is, in this situation- how would you suggest focussing my time? I struggle most with Logic Games, though I'm obviously not nailing LR or RC either.

I can commit at least 20 hours a week (approx. 3-4 hrs a day, 6 days), give or take.

Thanks for the advice!

I've never self-studied before, and I'm struggling with pacing myself. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on:

  • How many 7sage core lessons / problem sets to get through per day
  • When to know that you're ready to move on to the next lesson
  • When you started taking full-length PT's
  • I realize that everyone learns differently, but any tips or ideas on pacing would be deeply appreciated!

I didn’t see this information on any of the forums I’d scoured before my FLEX exam yesterday so I thought I’d share my misfortune in hopes someone else can avoid my fate.

If you have a Surface Pro with a detachable keyboard you’ll lose all keyboard functionality once ProctorU takes over your computer. I found this out the hard way when none of my highlight or underline tools worked during RC. You can use your finger, but you have to uncheck the tool before you scroll the screen with your finger otherwise it’ll highlight the entire passage.

Cost me 15 mins trying to get the proctor to pause my exam while we figured out the problem. Either plan on not highlighting/underlining anything, or borrow a different computer.

Can somebody, who has taken the LSAT flex, comment on the differences between the LSAT flex and the normal full length LSAT. Is the experience better with the flex? And is your score considered just as credible by colleges as the traditional LSAT?

Hey 7Sage friends, i took pre-test 68 and scored very differently on the two LR sections. i am a bit perplexed by the discrepancy. How does one get 85% aka 22/26 on the first section of LR on a preptest and then get 56% aka14/25 on the second section of LR on the same preptest? I did both of them timed during a full practice test and THEN redid both sections, timed as well, and got the same score on a different day. I redid them to make sure that the second sections failure wasn't an accident. The difficulty level of the second LR section is clearly much more difficult for me. I would say 85% on the first section is a great outcome but the second section killed my score overall. any tips or explanations for the difference in difficulty? So i need to go back to fundamentals? do preptests usually have one section of the LR that is SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult in comparison to the other? thanks in advance

Looking for someone to BR with for the May 2020 Flex Sample LSAC recently released on lawhub. Thinking of taking it either this Saturday or Sunday and BRing shortly after. Average PT hovering around169/170 with RC being my worst section and LG my best.

Hi! I'm revisiting the LR work and I feel like I've just learned so many things and there are so many things to keep in mind that I've getting a little bogged down. Does anyone have any helpful tips on how the transferred the material they learned in the course content into memory, and then into application for timed sections? I'd really appreciate it!!

*To clarify, I have all the notes and study materials, but I'm having trouble utilizing it efficiently and memorizing all the considerations.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how the LSAT-flex will be scored? If it’s on the same scale as the regular LSAT does that mean we can miss about 8 questions and still get a 170? Thank you!

Does anyone know if we can take the Flex with the color inverted on our laptops? This is where the background is black and the words are white.

Did any Flex takers try this?

    Hi all,

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I was hoping someone could explain to me their study process once you finish the curriculum and take PTs. I've taken 10 PTs so far, and I am seeing trends of things I need to work on... should I be going back to core curriculum and other resources or should I keep taking tests? What if I fall behind in the schedule that 7Sage sets up? I am supposed to take two PTs a week up until August. Any help or recommendations are appreciated!

I have a clear top choice for law school, and while I would love to apply Early Decision, I will likely need some scholarship money. Obviously, Early Decision reduces that chance of receiving money you would receive otherwise. But is it still standard for a law school to dish out money to an Early Decision applicant? My application for this particular school will likely benefit from an LSAT score at the median or 75th percentile but a GPA at the 25th percentile.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi everyone,

I am attempting to study through chunking. What I mean is, in order to get myself back in rhythm of studying I'm going to use the chunking method so I don't burn out, so I can understand what I am learning, and to properly execute what I learned through practicing.

My main concern currently is how should I chunk the material?

For LG I do pretty well, I'm somewhere between 3-4 questions wrong (this is was the case in FEB) I don't know where I stand currently until I do some practice LGs.

The biggest section I want to focus on is LR. So,what should I chunk? Should I do 3 30 min chunking sessions throughout the day and have different concepts to chunk such as MP/MC, STR, Weaken or do 1 30min chunk session with 2-3 concepts and then later on in the day go through some flashcards to reinforce what I learned and do a couple of practice problems?

I believe this could help a lot of people if they don't have time such as myself.

    What are your thoughts?

I was WL by HLS. Really happy!

If anyone has experiences of what it is like to be on wait list for HLS schools, LMK.

Already submitted my LOCI. My favorite professor at Columbia University (got an A+ and worked alot together this year) wants to submit another letter of rec because she did not write one since i was not done with her course during my application period. Even tho HLS generally advises against this, should I do it? Should I call them up to ask or just send in a compelling LOR?
