Hi there,
Is there a lesson as part of the CC where the process for approaching LR Evalutate questions is covered? If not is there a particular problem/ set of problems JY works through where he explains his strategy in detail?
Thanks yall

Before entering the PT's in the 80's, I used to blaze through the LR questions and would get -4/-5. Obviously, not perfect but a solid result.
But once I entered the 80's, my LR started dipping and I end up getting -7 to -9. I took a step back and tried to see what's going on.
I'm starting to find that a lot of the flaws and assumptions in LR in the 80's are still the same, but they are disguised with more convoluted language, both in the stimulus and in the answers. This has forced me to have to slow down now and really untangle the language in both the stimulus and answers now.
Is this something people have noticed or am I just going crazy? Lol.
I used to love blazing through the sections, but am wondering if I need to slow down now to attain accuracy on the more recent PT's.
I struggled to get this game down and was wondering if some of you have encountered similar games in the past which might help me hone in on general skills.
I've found that the games I struggle with most consistently involve conditional logic. I don't have any trouble understanding the logical relations themselves, but the complexity of the rules gets me very confused. For example, when a rule says something like, if A is before B, then C is before D. An example of a game that gives me trouble is PT78.S2.G3: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-78-section-2-game-3/
Does anyone have any advice on how to approach these games?
When? and how often do i start taking prep tests for 7sage.
#help Please
When the ‘OR’ is in the necessary and the arrow does not split, how is that diagramed? without the ‘OR’ if you have to chain them up?
When the ‘AND’ is in the sufficient and the arrow does not split, how is that diagrammed? without the ‘AND’ if you have to chain it up?
When it comes to fool proofing games, should you watch the explanation video after the first time you do it? And also should every time you do it be timed or should there be some type of BR where you just see if you can get every question right
Does anybody know why AC C is incorrect?
With every flex preptest I take. there is a leftover LR section. Is there a way to do these as a separate timed sections?
Hey, Does anyone know if a Mac 10.12.6 is acceptable for test ? ProcturU says minimum 10.13 and I wrote to clarify but they sent me to the same FAQ page.
Thanks for any help

I usually got -4 to -6 on RC, and -4 on the rest of other sections on PTs. I have significant improvement on the other two sections following blind review method, but Reading Comprehension is the section that I found no improvement after 2 months of full-time studying.
I saw people mentioned to figure out the relationships between various subjects and opinions and to anticipate the answer after reading question stems, but I found it very difficult to do so. I usually can get a fair understanding on the structure and any shifts from paragraph to paragraph, but I found it insufficient to answer inference questions.
There are usually at least 3-4 different subjects and opinions in a passage. The relationships among them are extremely difficult to keep track of. For difficult passages, the subject matters and different people's opinions themselves are difficult to understand, not to mention handling their relationships with each other. For example, in a passage (PT30, S3, P2) there is a debate going on about Greek Dramas tragedies written by an author X, and 3 scholars give different and distinct opinions on what lead to the consequences. When I read, I understood that there was a debate going on, and three scholars give different opinions about the same subject, which is Greek drama tragedies. But one question asks what is the difference between the opinions of scholar No2 and scholar No3, I can't summarize the difference, even after going back to read it one more time.
Convoluted answer choices add another layer of difficulties to the questions, which sometimes give me trouble, since I am not a native English speaker. But this problem is a minor one compared to the former. These all give rise to trouble when doing inference questions.
Does anyone have experience on improving skills on handling relationships and make inference upfront? Or any general advice on how to deal with these problems? And if any of you know a tutor can help with these issues, tell me please. I'd really appreciate your help, and thank you in advance.
Good luck studying, everyone!
Does anyone consistently approach weakening questions like RRE and see consistent results?
I just took PT 85 S3 and on Q24 JY shows how to resolve the question using an RRE method. I see exactly why this question is right now and have a great understanding for RRE questions (it's my favourite question type as I can often get them right even if I have no idea what's going on lol).
So I was wondering if it might be good to leverage my strengths and try it out , but thought I would ask to see if anyone else does this. :)

these two games are a perfect example of why I get confused as to when I should set up my game board as a grouping sequencing game or a regular grouping. What throws me off is that they both have inherent order (game 1: 1 3 5, and game 2: 1 2 3).
I would appreciate any insight as to how some of you are able to determine what type of game board is needed in these situation. Thanks!
Hey, guys. I think I got this one but I'm seeking clarification. I was between A, B and C and chose A. I think C is correct because a "property owner" is defined in lines 15-21 and A and B are incorrect because they describe how one can obtain ownership. A and B do not specifically discuss a "property owner." Also, A and B both seemed right to me because they were both similar and mentioned in the 4th paragraph. Would you guys say that this should've been an indication that they were both wrong? I had a hunch and had I gone with it I would've chosen C though not with confidence. Am I close?

Hi Guys,
I have noted a direct contrast between principle and MBT.
Take these 2 questions for example:
MBT: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-34-section-2-question-23/
Principle: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-25-section-2-question-11/
In the former one, anything that can be pushed out works as long as it abides to the principle within the stimulus.
However, of the latter one, when you are asked to draw a principle from the question, the right answer is best to cover 100% of the text. As by this logic, answer choice B is inferior than D solely because B only covered 50% of the argument while D covered all of them.
some one please explain this question to me.
Do we get an email a few days before orr....?
Hey everyone,
I started studying around 2 months ago after my first failed attempt in 2018 (diagnostic in the low 140s) and I'm currently scoring in the mid 150s (154-157) and my BR has ranged from 165-170. My accuracy is decent in LR and LG (often missing around 4-5 questions due to just lack of time)- however my performance in RC is highly responsible for my low score.
I've tried doing sections untimed to improve my comprehension (which lands me at around -4 or -5) however that takes me around 12+ minutes just to read and answer questions per passage. I've only recently joined 7Sage (previously used Manhattan prep's method for RC) and in an effort to avoid confusing myself with too many strategies I've avoided the whole memory method and low-res summaries.
Anyone know where I can go from here? Timing is a huge issue!! Looking to take the oct-nov lsat (preferably in the 162ish range) but I'm open to pushing it off until January as well.
Thanks so much in advance ☺️
Hey everyone I tried searching through the forums to see if there were any hits and I didn't see anything but I am a little confused on general principles. I am doing pretty well on the method of reasoning portion of the curriculum knock on wood but one area that I've noticed myself wasting too much time on are on answer choices that mention something to do with the argument using a general principle. I've been getting in the habit of quickly attempting to come up with an example of whatever the answer choice is and then comparing that to the argument featured in the stimulus that I have summed up in my own words but I keep second guessing myself on the answer choices with something to do with a general principle.
In the second lesson of the method of reasoning curriculum JY uses the "all jedi use the force" or "all apples are fruit" as examples for a general principle. That makes sense to me but then I'll see some stimulus's where either a premise or conclusion will say something that I think could be interpreted as a general principle and then that gray area is the source of my question. Most recent example was form LSAT 19 Section 4 Question 18 June 1996. I got it right during blind review but it seems like this is one simple fix I can make to tighten my shot group. Does anyone have any other examples of general principles or any tips on their approach?
-Stay safe and thank you for your time!
I am trying to apply to Cardozo law for next year, and it is not updated or something is not working right.
It is only giving me the option of applying for 2021 and it says applications are coming soon, instead of for 2020.
Anyone else having this problem?
Hi everyone- can anyone point me to the hardest LR questions that they have ever seen implicating numbers, percentages, market share etc.?
I'm confused with definition and/or terminology. Is numbered ordering the same as basic linear ordering (with a number line), or is there a difference? [3D numbered ordering and Advanced Linear ordering]
Also is there any relationship between numbered ordering and relative ordering.
Please help. Thank you.
Does anyone think the January Lsat will be flex or in person ?
I feel like in the last two months alone, 7Sage has introduced new tags (especially for LR) out of blue? While I appreciate the ability for more detailed analysis, it's a bit anxiety-inducing to discover there's a new dimension on this test that I need to master. How often does 7Sage add/discover tags?
