@mosheelish94 Id assume it's the right way to look at it. Along with that looking at the other things they were debating about had no correlation so you'd be assuming the other was disagreeing on anything but the foundation of "teach chess or don't teach chess"
Instead of saying "I got it right", anyone who doesn't understand this lesson please feel free to PM me and I'll over explain. This is one of the lessons I feel im fully understanding and can break down a question if you want further explanation!
@csapienza7869 press the '"show question" thing at the top next to comments so you can see the full question before he breaks it down. Basically another "you try"
The way this guy can breakdown questions and how to spot certain things is crazy. I honestly can't wait till im done with CC and get to drilling to see my improvement.
When I get happy I got one right but its level 1 difficulty and 98% of people got it
So if I am taking timed PT's do I not try to finish all the questions (even guessing on ones I don't have time for) to see if I can BR them later. I know on the actual test it's better to answer everything even if it's a random guess. Is this not the case on the PT
@thr107 Although I laughed reading this message because I had this same thought last night. "Is it worthwhile paying this money and getting these wrong?". Trust me it will get better, we only two weeks in there's so much more to approve!
@mwood42 I hate the type in option because its a wide net where I could be understanding it but not fully writing what he is writing.
@Nampoina LETS GOOOOOOO, this is only the first two weeks too. Wait till we are a couple months in!!!!
@rosenb1um Big thing is don't let the "small" and "large" comparison be the factor. The question could be "Over consistent research the chance of heart failure in Tall people is more consistent that of shorter people. Tall people are the "winner" though the answer isn't a winning side its more just the fact of the group of people with the highest chance of heart a heart failure would be Tall people.
Trying to assume on these questions will be my downfall. Only focus on what the question is asking and only. DONT ASSUME!!!!!
@soapster Im also taking my absolute time with this, with how much prep we have before our pt's im assuming time will gradually become more apparent. Trying not to rush to understand the fundamentals before trying to rush for time. Crawling before walking
@SethRubin Awesome thank you, wasnt sure if that was meant for later but true and no harm learning this trick now.
Is it ok to just skip all the fluff and look for the conclusion start such as searching for a "therefore" or "as a result". Thinking about the timing of the LSAT and looking to figure it out quick. If I find the conclusion quick I can skim the top to see what the premise would be. If I don't find the conclusion indicator then I backtrack to see what the sentence is asking like #2 where I can see that the author didn't come to their own conclusion. Should I be doing this now or should I be reading the whole thing?
4/5, number 5 mixed me up a bit. While instead of aiming to try to find the sentence that could be the conclusions (which I picked the beginning, ie. "No fizzing... box labeled "baking soda."") That I should've been looking for the part of the question that could be proven or disproven from the earlier or later statements. If that makes sense.
5/5, almost doubted myself as this one I understood a lot quicker than past summary blocks
Tiger: Not every street in Gainesville is safe to drive. The road down 5th st has caused a lot of accidents and shouldn't be driven.
Disney: UF has a club that you can get into by having all A's. The other way is to show up to every meeting early or you don't get a spot. George is a student at UF and a member of the club but doesn't have all A's. He must be showing up early to the club meetings every time.
Detective: I come home after a long day and notice pillow fluff scattered all around the house. I see two of my dogs sitting normally as one is hiding with pinned ears and a wagging tail as she does after messing up the house. This must mean Ms. Pinned ears is the one to bite and tear my pillow.
@Disney I watch if I get wrong or don't understand why I understand the answer. If I know why I got it sometimes I'll skip and sometimes I'll go over the explanation picture to look at the explanation and breakdown in writing forms. If im lost all together I'll look at both.
