@kiarahemani Oh, really? I thought that on the actual LSAT, they give you a piece of paper as well...
I honestly got this one right by POE. It was hard to understand at first.
@adc411 Correct! I always think this when people complain about reading, i'm like.... ummmm you do realize your going to law school to become a lawyer...
@naomiy2k Thanks for this, I was like umm what is POE lol.
@aakash2003ch457 I agree with your point and the person's below. Like I understand the logic behind the mapping.. but realistically, we don't have time to do this on the actual exam.
I'm a Costco Supervisor, and I study 6 days a week. Usually only for an Hour and 30.. more if I have the brain power. I do my absolute best to give myself off at least one day a week. I usually prefer Saturdays. I work in retail, so my hours are irregular. I, too, have an almost an hour commute to and from work every day. Some days are really harder than others to study because my role at work is so overstimulating, and a lot of brain power is required to manage so many people. I definitely understand the frustration. Studying for this test is already challenging, but it's even more of a challenge when you have other responsibilities. Still doable! May we all perform exceptionally well on this exam and achieve the scores we've been working so hard for.
@JessicaBeitler This is honestly how I answer the questions, process of elimination.
Great Explanation. I got this one correct, but it did take me 8mins :/.. I wanted to understand the stimulus thoroughly. How can I get faster? I guess by practicing and drilling more.
@eburst87 LOL, you said exactly what I was feeling..I'm like.. okay.... so this was super wordy and over convoluted for absolutely no reason. But I guess this is how cases we read as attorneys will be.
This is beautiful, keep going, you can hit over 170's Easy!
First, I chose E. Then, in Blind Review, I got it correct.
I Hope this helps someone understand: I to, chose A, fell into the trap. After reviewing it again, I understand why B is correct.
Ask: “What is the author TRYING to get me to believe or do?”
If it’s a general fact → not it. If it’s a rule accepted by everyone → not it. If it’s something the author wants YOU to adopt → conclusion.
If the argument gives reasons FOR a sentence →that sentence is the conclusion.
A is wrong, because it states the context that introduces the conclusion. "It is a given" - The author is not GIVING a reason for this; they are just using this as the foundation. There is no "WHY?" because it is a GIVEN.
B is correct because it is the conclusion followed by support. It makes you question "So What?"..
Premises answer the question "WHY?"
Conclusions answer the question "So What?"
@angieodapps396 No, seriously, because I, too, am wondering the same thing.
The easiest question, and I got it wrong, but I understand why. I overthought this.
I fell for the trap, but I understand clearly now.
@ava.perez41 I just pray this method works with all the other question types!
I believe my intuition is pretty strong because when I first read the first paragraph, I thought, "Wait a minute... this argument is only giving one suggestion, there has to be more to this," so when you tricked us, I was relieved that I was correct. LOL. (if that makes any sense, but I get everyones frustration)
@cchristopheracevedo158 Lol No Literally! Also, if you are using @colinerickson updated Google doc, you will succeed in life.
Took me 7 minutes, but I got it correct first try, and wrong in Blind review LoL. I just felt forced to choose something in Blind review..so I chose anything just to get off the screen..even though I knew none of the other answer choices were correct. Once I start PT's I hope to get much faster at questions.
At what point did you guys start drilling while in the core curriculum? Wondering when I should start drilling question types...
@saulgoodman13 Yes, it does! I thought it was just me and my Bose headphones, lol. Thanks for shedding light on this. I usually just rewind the video when it does that.
@Kevin Lin Thank you so much for explaining. After watching the video, it helped more. I came to the comment section prematurely lol.
@rjon27 Can you show this, please?
