I took my first test in 2013. You are not the only one. One soon-marriage, baby, and two cross country moves later.. i'm still doing this. Good luck!

I remember last year when you were studying. So happy for you. I'm back to climbing the mountain yet again. Thinking of you. Congrats!

Where do you want to practice? Interesting to combine the skill sets and from the comments of yours I've read, I think you'd be good at this. One thing is the social work internship and credit hours are very substantial and costly unless you have an undergrad in it. Here's a few strong schools (I'm sure there's more) to maybe look into: -NYU, UCLA, Berkeley, Syracuse, and Boston College. You might be able to negotiate a new joint program at another school as well.

that's a good idea thanks! I'm not sure looking at Colorado area right now. My fiancee may be going into the military.

I agree with having the right mindset but when it comes to clothing I think I am slightly opposite to you. I actually have study clothes, clothes that I bought to wear only when I study. But instead of them being jeans or a nice shirt they are actually fuzzy-soft sweatpants and soft comfortable lightweight shirts and thick color-full socks. lol I cannot take the test in uncomfortable clothes. I find jeans just super uncomfortable.

Before I begin studying each day I have to brush my teeth, do my skincare, have coffee, walk my dog, and eat a good solid breakfast that includes fruits. I also like my desk clean. Before I begin each day I make sure that I have my calendar organized, all my pencils sharpened and the drills I need for the day printed and ready to go.

I think having things a certain way just makes me feel so much better about studying.

that's literally what i wear daily as a mother. Lol.

Just to make sure I have this correct, when we do a PT for a BR, I don’t look at the answers before we go over it together right?

Great question!

Correct. Just BR to the best of your ability. I'm going to update the OP with more specific instructions next week!

hey is there a message thread? bc i haven't seen it yet

If the decision is finalized, it means people might be able to choose between GRE and LSAT even though they have LSAT scores on the record, right?

(This might save us in the future, @ lol)

yikes seems like uncertain times are coming..

Def. not if your essay ties into a real world experience (like being a law clerk) that has inspired you to pursue x,y,z law.

Bummer I wish these were a little later :( i'm sure it was super informative!

I agree, 7Sage needs some West Coasters haha

I'm east but my son doesn't go to bed until around 7:30 and falls asleep between 8 and 9 :(

You’d benefit form west then! 6pm pst would be 9 est!

yes! haha how are you doing with going back to studying? It has been really hard for me since Sep exam - morale is down

What about someone who cancelled or/and withdrew from LSAT? The situation is becoming more interesting now.

I guess if there are no reportable LSAT scores, they would take GRE scores.

I seriously just realized I screwed myself via this post because my LSAT score expires this year and if I hadn't taken last month I wouldn't have ANY .... :'(

I will have to wait another five years...

srsly feel like i just shot myself in the foot

Thank you so much for the link. I will definitely start incorporating that everyday. I guess this exam is something else - no undergrad course made me feel so much anxiety.

Of course! I hope it helps (I have faith that it will because like I said, I'm a giant stress ball naturally haha). And it really is its own beast. It's tough to keep your mind from wandering while you're taking it when there's so much at stake with it, but once your confidence is up and your stress is down I know you can kill it!

It did! To be honest, I have been losing sleep too. So today, I just sat down in my room on the floor for 20 mins and just focused on my breathing. It was hard to do, but it really calmed me down!!! I'm gonna try doing this everyday now.

Thank you for the positive kind words :) Sending you lots of love.

The advice i was given was to find an 8 week mindfulness/meditation course ( i start on Monday!) & the book "the worry trap" - chad lejeune ~ maybe it can help you too!

Something I've learned is important to combat anxiety and learn effectively is to focus on the process and not the result. So instead of focusing on a full section or a full PT, focus on the process of answering the questions themselves.

Having eaten enough food and remembering to breath is also important.

I actually just noticed I get really light headed after doing LG sections - i don't think i breathe lol

I feel you 100%. COMPLETELY froze during my fist section and the anxiety really kicked in so you are defiantly not alone. You mentioned meditation and yoga, which I think will help a lot (hopefully-- that's what I am trying to incorporate too)

I signed up for Dec too but just trying to get motivated to get back at it. Thank you for sharing your schedule! I am trying to do something similar. Leading up to the Sept exam I dragged my studying out so much that I think it just burned me out almost and I definitely need to do something different for the Dec. I am thinking shorter sessions will be much more effective than dragging it out and keeping myself much more accountable.

Do you know if the Dec study group is still taking place?

Thanks again! We are on this journey together!

Yes me too! I think I'm going to aim for 3-4 hour short sessions. I just contacted a local mindfullness teacher and will be taking lessons- I would hate to resort to medication, but i am just now realizing how much anxiety is starting to control my life.

I'm not sure about Sami's group but there is another group by sidebrain that is still going on!
