How should study for december? I have exhausted all prep tests...and used mostly all of the prep questions to my disposal. My weakness is still primarily reading comprehension. How should I go about studying for december? Its my last chance....dont want to do worse than i just found I did...(162)

is anybody else experiencing low resolution on this website? The whole screen, font everything looks blurry.
Can anyone who's taken the test (preferably recently) advise whether or not writing in the test booklet is allowed, and if so how much space is there for LR q's, LG's, and RC (to make notes during the test)? Also, as it relates to skipping questions, are we able to make a tick mark next to our answer sheet to remind ourselves thats a question we skipped? I'm assuming the answer to that one is no, but worth asking none the less. I plan on filling in a random answer even on the questions I skip since there is no penalization for guessing, but if I get extra time (doubtful but still, plan in case of any eventuality), I intend to return to my skipped questions and devote as much extra time as I have to answer them properly instead of a random guess.
That post made me start thinking.....
The highest I have gotten is 158. I'm hoping to sit somewhere in the mid 160s before the exam. I work full time, so I can't dedicate entire days to studying, but I'm going to propose a breakdown for how to go about getting such a score. Can someone look at it and tell me if they think it'll be effective?
Yesterday I wrote a practice test, and only got a 151. Which was disheartening. However, I realized that all the LG questions were from my weakest set - In/Out. And I really struggled with the Reading Comprehension, so those are two areas I need to focus on improving.
Saturday
- Prep Test
- Review Logical Reasoning both sections (BR)
- Review Logic Games Section (BR)
- Identify Problem Areas/Areas needing work
- Review
Sunday
- Review Reading Comprehension (BR)
- LG practice
- 1-2 Reading Comprehension practice
- Work on LR problem areas
During the week I ride the LRT to work, which is about 30 minutes of time a day. During this ride, I like to pull out Art History/ Scientific America Articles and read/make notes on them/ decipher the main point in the paragraphs and such, while working on retaining the passage. I do this daily.
Monday
- Review LR from the Prep Test
- LG Practice
- 2 RC Practice
- Review problem areas with LR
- Read Information (I have a print out of all the lessons that I review)
Tuesday/ Thursday
- Repeat of Saturday
Wednesday/Friday
- Repeat of Sunday
This will allow me to do.... 3 prep tests a week. An additional 6-8 Reading Comprehension practices, with memory method, get some additional "hard" reading in, and work on LG.
Does this seem effective? I am trying not to let the 151 bother me too much, but it's hard not to! I really want to target my problem areas.
It has recently come to my attention that a visit to a psychiatrist may be necessary for me - I've been hearing J.Y. Ping's voices when doing LG sections.
"Apply the con-tra-PA-si-tive".
"What IN-fe-rences can we make?"
"Negate sufficient, fulfill necessary, the rule just goes away!"
"You have to take stock which rules are left..you can't freeze.."
When I was working on some logic games with my friends, I voiced out my thought process along the way, and they told me I sounded like J.Y. Ping (the little mannerisms). Oh I wish I was as good as him, but upon watching countless hours of his videos, Mr. Ping's voice took over me. And the more I try to get rid of it, it just keeps on coming back.
Anyone has similar experience? I'm sure I'm not alone.
If you have received a 100% (or very nearly 100%) correct in RC, then I am seeking your help!
What is your approach for 'marking' the passage? Any underlining? Boxing? Comments?
Have you developed any useful habits?
What do you believe led to your success in this section?
Background: I recently noticed that I have never received 100% in RC. I hadn't even realized I was always dropping at least 1 Q! I keep switching my approach -- sometimes marking & sometimes not.
Please let me know your (7)sage wisdom. Thank you!
Now that we are (December test takers) getting closer to the test day, I'm wondering where one should be today in terms of understanding the material/fundamentals (how to set up games, knowing LR questions types, Not losing focus on the RC), Reading the passage on time, getting through a whole section of LR or RC or Games to be scoring in mid-high 60's 7 weeks away from now and How should one's schedule look like to achieve that ?
Okay. Last week I had a major mental break down and I had to stop writing Prep Test 39... you probably remember me.... bahaha I post A LOT.
So here I go. I'm writing prep test 40.
I can do this!!!!! I won't get down on myself!!!!
:) Good luck to all you 7Sagers today with your prepping!! Positive vibes <3
Does anyone know if PT 72 and 73 will be included if we upgrade to the ultimate version of the account next month?
I want to thank everyone at 7Sage and especially JY for being here when I found you and believing in me by responding to my questions and then by teaching me an incredible amount in a short time. I had been studying for a year but not able to figure out Logic Games....scores would not be higher than 154...then after a few lessons with you I improved to 163 and I just got my first 167 today. I have a feel for Logical Reasoning now, I did not think possible as well as am improving a lot on Logic Games. I'm far from done but wanted to let you guys know that you are the best and you mean the world to me...I never thought I could reach 25th percentile for my dream school and now I'm there! I'm on my way to make 170 plus a possibility and all because of you. If I get into Stanford, you will be to blame ;-) YOU all ROCK! Miriam
So after about 5 months of studying w 7sage my LG is by far my worst section. I range anywhere from 50-75%. Sequencing Games/Dual Layered Seq Games are my weakness. I work on Logic Games extensively printing the games out 10x each and perfecting them. Once i have "perfected them" i leave them alone for a few days/weeks and go back to them periodically and can still finish them pretty quickly. Yet when I am testing, its as if Ive never seen a LG in my life and i freeze or go way too slow. I don't know what to do about Games, any pointers? tips? suggestions?
Is anyone else having similar problems?
How are you preparing yourself to be mentally strong enough to open that email? I've been working out pretty hard, dieting, and meditating. I'm not sure how that relates to the LSAT, but it's been keeping me calm. The scores could come any day now, but my guess is on Sunday. Most places I've looked at say they're probably getting released Monday. Are you ready? Next week could be anything from going ahead and finishing up an application to send it in a week or two to getting back in the lab and writing practice tests again.
2014 LAW SCHOOL RECRUITMENT FORUMS
Has anyone been to a law school forum/workshop with LSAC? They have one in Houston but I live in austin.
Several universities will attend and setup booths. An admission representative will be there to answer any questions you may have and you also receive a $50 application waiver. I really want to get accepted into UT and they will be there. But i remember doing this years ago and it was pointless. And I don't know anyone else that's going :(
i dk, Is it worth the commute/time?
PM me if you're looking to sell yours!
Hi there -
Anyone in the Vancouver, BC area want to meet up a few times before the December LSAT? Perhaps write a few practice exams and then go over them with each other?
Kevin
Is it possible to take the LSAT in February and be accepted for the Fall cycle? Is this a wise idea? Is the LSAT truly harder than the December one?
Hi everyone,
I truthfully don't have a difficult time answering the LG questions/making the proper inferences once I know my game board is correct. That's where my problem is though. I don't trust my board, and I constantly find myself reviewing JY's answers before moving on to the questions.
Is this going to get better with practice or does anyone have any techniques on how I can improve on trusting my board? I suppose I already know the answer, it's just extremely frustrating. Will it just click after a certain point or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
bC
I need a study partner. Someone that I can help and help me as well. If your interested please let me know ASAP!
okay. I posted yesterday. I had a huge meltdown mid-Prep test 39, stopped the test, cried for a bit, went out and bought a ridiculously expensive car starter, came home and napped, tackled a few questions, and gave up.
Today. I wrote a prep-test and only scored 1 mark higher than previous scores.
To say the least, I had another mini-meltdown. I'm not sure if any of you have gone through this and, if you have, then you know how hard it is to just be OK and move on from it. And it seems that every single piece of advise people try to tell me, I just want to punch them. I just feel like people who aren't studying for the LSAT don't understand.
Anyways. So. I gave up (again) tonight. Had a mini melt down, cried, and then. I just cleaned everything. Cleaned the room I studied in, cleaned my bedroom, cleaned my closet, cleaned my car - everything. Because tomorrow is not today. And tomorrow is not yesterday. And I refuse to let tomorrow be like today or be like yesterday.
So I am mostly writing this, so that you 7Sagers can keep me in perspective.
The test is just a test.
If I do not pass it in December, I can try again.
A year will not have been wasted.
The test is just a test.
And it certainly shouldn't be done at the expense of my mental health/happiness.
So. Tomorrow is a new day. And everything from here on out may not be easy, but I will not give up. :)

Logical Reasoning, Section 2, Question 7 & 8.
I'm trying to solidify my understanding of NA... I don't understand it. I can read it 100 times, but when I'm given a question on the LSAT, I still don't get it. So, i've been trying to identify NA when I see it in other questions.
7. Conclusion: a person prevented from sleep by thoughts should count sheep
Why? Because sheep occupy both sides of the brain.
Is the necessary assumption here... the answer to question 7? That the thoughts of sheep would not keep the person awake?
Because... if that were true. If counting sheep DID keep the person awake, then it would ruin our argument.
Am I right?!
I've taken the LSAT twice: December 2013 and September 2014 (cancelled). Both were taken at the same test center by my grandparents (I live in NYC but usually I go up and visit them and it's easier/less hectic of a commute on test day). The first time, I did fine. In September, I totally lost it. The chairs were making terrible noises, and one of the proctors was clearly ill with bronchitis and was coughing and also talking to a proctor-in-training during the test. I should have been able to block these things out the second time and I didn't.
So for test 3, the question is, to I take at the same place? I can't tell if I'd be better off in a new place, or return to the same place. The upside is I would know the territory, and anticipate possible distractions. But part of me thinks I should try another center to get away from my September debacle. Anyone faced this issue before? Would love thoughts on this. Thanks guys!
So I have no problem with speed....Trust me, I can read the passages in 2 minutes or less....but in one sense I do have a problem with speed, because if I read any faster than 4 minutes then I sacrifice accuracy on the questions...I could get away with reading the passages in 3 or less minutes on the older RC's, but there are a lot harder inference, definition, and analogy questions on the newer RC's that if I don't read closely enough I miss all of them..but obviously I want to comprehend what I am reading even faster...
I have tried spreeder before....honestly, it doesn't work for me. Simply reading words faster doesn't mean I comprehend the passage on the certain level which is required for the newer RC's faster...If I only read for "structure" I miss the main point, or I don't make a key inference which is based upon some sort of detail I might skip over when reading for "structure"...To do all the "push back" I need to do to connect passages and draw out key inferences requires that I comprehend faster...not just read faster
Anyone else have the same problem?
I'm not sure if my question has been addressed, if so, could someone send me to the proper discussion. My question is for those who are shooting for 170+. Would it be more beneficial to focus on knowing how to answer each question type or should I focus on mastering all the "Lawgic" and being able to go back and forth between the language. I feel being able to handle lawgic sufficiently will help take the burden off having to know a certain way to answer each question because you will be able to answer the question intuitively. Is that a good thought or am I way off base? Thank you for any help I get ahead of time.

My name is Michelle. I have been preparing LSAT for more than a year. I took a TestMasters and 7 Sage prep courses; also covered several materials including LSAT Trainer, Bibles, Manhattan Strategies Books and Multiple PTs. I have developed several strategies and would like to share with yours.
I made a decision to take a leave from work in order to completely focus on studying – this shows how much I am serious and determined. I am looking for someone who can share this motivation and be a supporter and a couch for each other. I’ve studied with few other people and found it very effective to analyze questions together and talk it out and explain to each other; way more than just listening to the lecture. I would also like to take the entire PT together under strict time limit.
My Skype ID is michellemoon0708. I am down to talk any time. I am willing to work on any time frame/schedule. Please contact me at michellemoon0708 at gmail dot com. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I plan to register for Dec test. I was curious if anyone has insight on the test centers in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. For example: Do you know of a test center with larger desk and more comfortable seating?
