I was wondering what everyone's schedule looks like..is the amount of PT's a week a very subjective thing? So far I only have 3 full timed tests and one untimed test, a section and BR a day, this month, with LG drilling in between. Do you think I should squeeze in another timed PT in this month, or have 1-2 PTS a week for August and September? Not sure what everyone's take on the amount of PTS's to take is. My last few tests were 155, 158, and 161.
Hello,
Here is my analysis for question 17 in section 3 for prep test 72. This is a weaken question; therefore, I wanted to weaken the connection between the premises and the conclusion.
Argument Analysis:
Premises:
Individuals who get injured due to unsafe actions not only cause injury to themselves but also can put financial and emotional burdens on others who they are close with.
Conclusion:
The Government is vindicated in making actions that are considered risky to one’s health illegal, in order to guard other people’s interests.
Prephrase:
Just because something that could be injurious to one individual and that brings pain to their family is not grounds for outlawing it. Think about it this way, just because trampolines can cause you harm and make your family pay your hospital bills doesn’t mean that this is grounds to ban using them.
Answer Choices:
A. This supports the argument because it further justifies why it would feasible to implement the law. The reason is due to the fact that it shows how putting a burden on the people you have close ties to constitutes harm to oneself.
B. This doesn’t weaken because just because we have an obligation to not injure ourselves doesn’t mean that we won’t injure ourselves. For example, one may have an obligation to not eat their sister’s last piece of chocolate cake; however, is that obligation strong enough to prevent us from eating it? Probably not.
C. This strengthens because it meets the necessary condition of posing a financial burden to the family.
D. This weakens it entirely because entirely wipes out the evidence that the argument provided for the conclusion. If the evidence is not sufficient than the conclusion is not entirely justified to be true.
E. Again, just because you have an obligation doesn’t mean that it will guarantee that people won’t do it. The person could easily say, well this law will just affirm this obligation.
Honestly, I wish I hadn’t gotten this question wrong. I had originally picked B because I assumed that because one has an obligation to not do something that they won’t do it. But, how many obligations have we had that we have broken? Conversely, D shows that the evidence that the person gave does not completely bolster the argument for instituting the law.

I've been away from the forums for a while, hope you're all doing all right. Leave a comment or private message if you would be down to lend me a hand. Thank you, and looking forward to hearing from you.
Hello everyone, super new user here. I'm hoping to write the July/September LSAT for the first time.
I thought I'd open a thread to just have people come here and talk and console each other. God knows how miserable we all are for taking on the beast that is LSAT.
Nonetheless, after much tears, sweat, and frustrations, we much carry on.
Thanks everyone beforehand for participating.
Hi lovely people! I am taking the LSAT in October, and I just scored a 150 on my PT after studying consistently since May. I always struggle much more on one of the LR sections over the other, and I recently started paying attention to RC more as well. If you have any study tips please send them my way. I really want to break the 160s before taking the Oct LSAT. Thank you!!!
This question is difficult because once you spot the flaw, it is hard to put it into words, which is why I missed it. I couldn't figure out how any of the answer choices paraphrased the flaw, so I had to pick an answer and move on. I don't really see how C is the flaw and how A is worse than C.
Bike riders don't follow the rules of the road, and this is a causal factor in 25% of traffic accidents involving bikes. The lack of bike saftey equipment is also a causal factor in 25% of those accidents. Thus, bikes are partly responsible for more than half of the traffic accidents involving bikes.
What I am looking for: I think the flaw is a math error. The conclusion says that 50+%, but we are given information about a causal factor being 25% and of those accidents a causal factor is 25%. Instead of additive, the relationship should be multiplicative. The conclusion should only talk about the percentage of bike accidents that included inadequate bike saftey equipment.
Answer A: This was the answer I chose, and I don't see how this doesn't adequately point out the flaw. Sure, you need to make an assumption that motorists are a factor in traffic accidents, but how is that not a reasonable assumption that the author overlooked? Additionally, since we conclude that 50+%, this is implying that less than 50% ("less than half") have some other cause. But, since we can't conclude anything about 50+%, this presumption is not justified. I don't see what is wrong with this one.
Answer B: No. We are to take the causal premises as truth.
Answer C: How is this the correct answer choice? Doesn't the conclusion say "at least partially responsible?" Thus, the argument DOES consider the possibility that more than one factor may contribute to a given accident? Additionally, the argument isn't talking about "all/given accidents;" it is limited to accidents involving bikes. How can the flaw be about "given" accidents?
Answer D: We don't need a source.
Answer E: Who cares about the severity of injury?
I ran across this sometime ago and it really hit home. I'm feeling led to post it here in case some students out there need a boost.
I’m new to this Flex thing, since I just restarted studying last week (after taking a year off).
Can anyone do a brief overview of their Flex experience? You have to do it on a computer with a webcam - will you see other students? Do you see your proctor? What’s the format?
Proctors: The proctors were faculty and students at UDC law school and were relatively no-nonsense and once in the rooms, accommodated the best they could.
Facilities: lines for the bathroom were long, and there wasn't a lot of waiting room in the hallways
What kind of room: Lecture room, with the kind of long desks that wrap around the center of the room.
How many in the room: About 75
Desks: Long desks in rows
Left-handed accommodation: because of the long rows, no worries on being left-handed
Noise levels: Not bad once you were in the building.
Parking: Really easy, there was plenty of parking in the neighborhood right next to the building. A lot of people also metro-ed which is also easy as there's a metro station right across the street.
Time elapsed from arrival to test: A long time. We were told to arrive at least 45 minutes before the exam but it was at least an hour and a half until we actually started. The check in line to get into the rooms were really slow.
Irregularities or mishaps: During break, they had to take us down to the next floor (with supervision) because the lines for the bathroom were so long. Also, kids would leave to go to the bathroom right before a section/before the exam began. Not the proctors fault necessarily but it made the exam take that much longer which was really frustrating.
Other comments: Nothing, really. Not a bad place to take the exam, and much better than other places in the area from what I could tell from friends.
Would you take the test here again? Sure. As much as it was not a pleasant experience, that was much more about the actual exam than about the test center. The long desks were great--plenty of room to spread out!

Hi Guys,
I have noted a direct contrast between principle and MBT.
Take these 2 questions for example:
MBT: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-34-section-2-question-23/
Principle: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-25-section-2-question-11/
In the former one, anything that can be pushed out works as long as it abides to the principle within the stimulus.
However, of the latter one, when you are asked to draw a principle from the question, the right answer is best to cover 100% of the text. As by this logic, answer choice B is inferior than D solely because B only covered 50% of the argument while D covered all of them.
I got back my Nov LSAT score and was not too thrilled with it. I was scoring much higher on my prep tests. I am torn between applying anyways to select schools and seeing what happens vs. studying more for the LSAT and applying next cycle. Any advice on what to do? Also, how do schools view reapplications- if you get rejected the first cycle, but apply regardless in the next? Thank you!
Hey, guys. I think I got this one but I'm seeking clarification. I was between A, B and C and chose A. I think C is correct because a "property owner" is defined in lines 15-21 and A and B are incorrect because they describe how one can obtain ownership. A and B do not specifically discuss a "property owner." Also, A and B both seemed right to me because they were both similar and mentioned in the 4th paragraph. Would you guys say that this should've been an indication that they were both wrong? I had a hunch and had I gone with it I would've chosen C though not with confidence. Am I close?

I am consistently scoring in the low 160s (160-163) and scoring in the mid 160s to low 170s (166-172) after BR. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to get out of a plateau. On BR, I immediately notice many careless mistakes, either due to misreading the questions or stimulus or time constraint, but I always seem to make comparable careless mistakes on the next PT I take. Does anyone else struggle with this issue? I am taking the October test and I have only completed PT 36-46 and June '07. I also have every single PT, including 1-35 and PT A,B and C. Would it be helpful for me to take every single one of them as a PT, or should I save some of them for drilling? I want to maximize my potential on the LSAT and I'm willing to take and thoroughly BR as many PTs as necessary.

Proctors: 4 proctors per room, one reading, 2 pacing
Facilities:new testing center used for other large tests ie accoutning
What kind of room: room with no windows, well lit
How many in the room:12
Desks: tables 4x2' ish?
Left-handed accommodation: own table so not necessary
Noise levels:minimal, except for proctors (note later)
Parking: easy
Time elapsed from arrival to test: 4.5 hrs
Irregularities or mishaps:none really
Other comments: the proctor wore the most obnoxiously loud shoes and often lingered around you while testing. I understand this is required, but it got bad enough to where multiple people considered saying something
Would you take the test here again? I am in december

Has anyone heard back from the group interviews? I got a thank you from the Dean but thats all so far.
.
Hi everyone, I tend to see a trend in my PTs that I miss most of my questions in LR between Q15 and on. I wanted to starting drilling this level of difficulty questions.
Do you guys think drilling "medium and harder" difficulty in LR would be the equivalent difficulty of questions 15 and on?
Thank you in advance (:
Last year I got a lot of unsolicited fee waivers when my LSAT score was released. I'm trying to apply as early as possible this year but would also like to take advantage of free apps. Anybody have any personal experience with when the fee waiver emails start rolling in?
If anyone have spare time, I would really appreciate feedbacks on my personal statement. If you are interested, send me a private message, thanks!
Admin edit: please don't post your email address unless you love a spam sandwich!
For one of my recommenders under the letter's status, it reads "acknowledged." Does anyone know what this means?
I had 3 LR(I’m unsure as to which we’re real) , 1 RC (the one with lies/mistakes) and 1LG(the one with the flowers)
I feel pretty strong about this test
ive been studying lsat for a year already (approximately 1-2 hrs a day). My initial pt score is 153, and after 3-4 months I got around 160. However the score just doesn't go up anymore. I about to take the test on dec. 6th so I have literally 2 months left. My target in dec is 165+. Is that reasonable?
I just purchased this course 5 days ago and I found this course really useful but, I've already wasted all the pts (40-75). So I don't know how to follow the schedule of this course in a smarter way in this case.
I quit my job few days ago so now I have 8 hrs ago (!!!)
Anybody who got similar experience or anybody who has any idea about what should I do now?
I usually got -4 to -6 on RC, and -4 on the rest of other sections on PTs. I have significant improvement on the other two sections following blind review method, but Reading Comprehension is the section that I found no improvement after 2 months of full-time studying.
I saw people mentioned to figure out the relationships between various subjects and opinions and to anticipate the answer after reading question stems, but I found it very difficult to do so. I usually can get a fair understanding on the structure and any shifts from paragraph to paragraph, but I found it insufficient to answer inference questions.
There are usually at least 3-4 different subjects and opinions in a passage. The relationships among them are extremely difficult to keep track of. For difficult passages, the subject matters and different people's opinions themselves are difficult to understand, not to mention handling their relationships with each other. For example, in a passage (PT30, S3, P2) there is a debate going on about Greek Dramas tragedies written by an author X, and 3 scholars give different and distinct opinions on what lead to the consequences. When I read, I understood that there was a debate going on, and three scholars give different opinions about the same subject, which is Greek drama tragedies. But one question asks what is the difference between the opinions of scholar No2 and scholar No3, I can't summarize the difference, even after going back to read it one more time.
Convoluted answer choices add another layer of difficulties to the questions, which sometimes give me trouble, since I am not a native English speaker. But this problem is a minor one compared to the former. These all give rise to trouble when doing inference questions.
Does anyone have experience on improving skills on handling relationships and make inference upfront? Or any general advice on how to deal with these problems? And if any of you know a tutor can help with these issues, tell me please. I'd really appreciate your help, and thank you in advance.
Good luck studying, everyone!
hi all!
first off congrats on all those who sat for the Nov test and completed it in one piece! I feel somewhat accomplished in doing that alone, it being my first official administration. But I am also trying to be somewhat realistic with myself, knowing that I am almost 100% sure that I want to sit for the Jan test and take a shot at getting a higher score!
I had been studying since June before taking the Nov test, so obviously completed all 7sage CC and taken PTs 40-50, so now what?
trying to take into consideration my known weaknesses that I feel in myself, and use those to try and construct a new study plan, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else in the same/similar situation as myself, have any advice. mainly what you have done in the past or what you will be doing until the Jan test? I'm thinking of more timed sections instead of full PTs to start out & focus more on getting a few extra points from RC (since personally I did not spend much time at all learning RC strategies to begin with), along with getting a constant LR section that I am confident with. what about you?
thanks so much in advance for taking the time to help a girl out :)
