Hi all!

I was wondering if anybody had any sort of comprehensive CC review that they wouldn't mind sharing with me? Long story short all of my study materials were ruined in a car accident :(

Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Studying!

Hi,

Can anyone help explain why the answer here is E instead of C? I understand why A,B, and D are wrong, but I just don't understand why C is wrong. I felt the main idea of the passage was that we need to reform the way we rehabilitate child criminals, which seemed to me to be a form of cooperation between criminologists and law enforcement (since creating such policy would be a form of law enforcement finally acting on the criminologists' findings).

Any #help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Proctors: Didn't seem to know all that much except for the main proctor who was in-charge of the tests within the whole building (3 rooms I think) other than that there wasn't a problem with them. They were nice and didn't distract us.

Facilities: Much better than expected (cant judge a school's facility based off its rank) place was super clean, very roomy and had some cool tech (has nothing to do with test but each seat had a mic on the desk to ensure the whole class can hear)

What kind of room: Stadium seating lecture hall. Very large but the back had a bunch of seats with no desks

How many in the room: 75-100

Desks: Large desks broken up into three sections per row (like a movie theater) with people spaced every other chair. All the room you need to get set up and be comfortable. No issues at all

Left-handed accommodation: desks were large along with spaced seating should have caused no extra accommodations to be needed (I'm righty so...)

Noise levels: fine, normal coughing/sneezing

Parking: NYC so you have to deal with parking buildings. I took public transit.

Note: there is NOWHERE to safely leave a bag, so if you are going here, DO NOT bring anything you are not supposed to have. There were multiple people frantically looking for a place to leave their bags (eventually left them all with a doorman, I assume they didn't have a problem getting them back but no idea)

Time elapsed from arrival to test: fairly quick, 20-30 minutes from listed start time (maybe less)

Irregularities or mishaps: again, most of the proctors clearly weren't trained so we had a couple of minutes in between sections (IIRC the proctors walked around to make sure you weren't still writing/in a different section) Threw me off at first but had plenty of time to re-coop, I enjoyed the extra time to clear my head and prep for the following section.

Other comments: Nice place, would be top choice of mine if retaking and lived closer (getting there was not a problem from LI, LIRR to Penn and a quick subway ride brought me maybe 5 blocks from school) I just registered for the test pretty late. I would definitely recommend it to those nearby or even on LI (if Hofstra is unavailable-NOTE: Touro is open to replace Hofstra for June, so it may be better than travelling to NYC but not sure how the facilities/testing conditions are there)

Would you take the test here again? Yep, as said above, if Hofstra is not available I would make the trek

Hey LSAT prepsters.... I just signed up for that study buddy thing here on 7Sage. If any of you are interested, please respond back or check out that new study buddy sign up and we'll get connected ASAP. I live in San Jose and plan on taking the October LSAT. Let's push each other to greatness and support each other when we are feeling doubtful. I'd love to meet once a week and we can also do phone/internet chats as well. It's all about helping each other stay on track with studying and to break apart question types to see the tentmaker's themes and tricks. We can definitely crack the code and get into top schools.

Hello, I originally posted this in the comments under the question but the more I look at it I'm second guessing if my reasoning is correct. I've pasted it here with a couple alterations because I accidentally put "understand" instead of "know" in the other post. It got me to the correct answer but could someone please confirm if my reasoning is correct and if not, where I went wrong. Thank you.

59.3.19

Premises:

A := Understanding a word

B := Knowing its dictionary definition

C := Understanding the words that occur in the definition

(A →B) → (A → C)

Premises: we have an instance of people (e.g., babies) who don’t understand the words that occur in the definition.

==> C

Necessary failed, contrapose back.

==> (A →B)

which is equivalent to

A and B

In other words, it could be the case that people (e.g., babies) understand the words they’re saying even if they don’t know the word's dictionary definition.

Which matches AC (E).

I am absolutely freaking out. I just applied to my top four schools, and I selected "No" to all of the Character & Fitness questions for each school. At my college, you received an "Academic Warning" whenever you failed a mid-term since your average in the course was now below passing. I received a couple of these warnings my freshman year, but I did well on the remaining assessments and passed the courses. Hence, I forgot all about these warnings and failed to check the appropriate box on the law school applications/provide the appropriate addenda. Has anyone seen this situation before? Would there be anyway for me to amend this mistake while my applications are still pending?

Thank you all so much!!!!!

Hello all,

I was reviewing PT 77 S2 Q18 (link below) and was having a bit of trouble clarifying my thinking on it.

If an argument "fails to exclude" X, that means it does not explicitly rule out X, correct? This is different than "presumes" or "takes for granted" X where X would be an assumption the argument makes, right?

Am I thinking about this correctly?

Thanks for any help!

When I went to do my digital writing sample I had my phone in my backpack, and I forgot to turn it off. I got a text during the writing sample, so the reviewers could probably hear the notification. I just kept going on the test and didn't reach into my bag or anything. I haven't heard back to see if it was accepted or not. This is probably a new issue with the separation of the writing portion from the actual test day, but is it necessary to write an addendum or anything if you get a rules violation, or will LSAC just send whichever writing sample was accepted?

Has anyone taken the May LSAT-Flex on a Surface Go tablet/ laptop. I just want to see how your experience was. I am a bit anxious as when I test my camera on the proctor U site, the camera freezes a bit. I want to know if this is normal or if I should think of using a different laptop.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Retaking Dec

So I got my score and ultimately got a 157. I'm bummed but...what can you do? I bought the 7sage starter and will be playing catch up on studying today. Does anyone have any tips? I have a goal of high 160's.

Hello 7sage admin,

Could you guys put a target time on the RC passages? In the LGs, the target time is helpful, and I think that a target time for the RC passages would be super helpful, especially since the timing in RC feels much more unpredictable than the other sections. Obviously, everyone's going to be a little different based on background etc, but a ballpark figure would be awesome. Really loving the curriculum, keep up the good work!

Hi!

Though I watched JY's video explanation on this question,

I cannot still figure out what is a significant difference between an answer choice (A) and (C).

I thought "cultural relationships" in (A) can entail the meaning of how much external cultural influences affect the lives of people.

Could you explain these two answer choices further?

Thanks!
