Can anyone read my statements and give me feedback.

Hi everyone,

I'm seeking some advice on studying after the core curriculum. I recently finished the core and took two preptests so far. Both showed weaknesses in causal reasoning and flaw. This seems to suggest that I should start drilling for causal reasoning and flaw type questions, but I also didn't want to burn through a bunch of drills without gaining as much as I could from them. Would a better option be a mix of question-type focused drills + timed LR sections (with thorough BR/review for each)? I thought it might be better to hold back on preptests for now (again because I didn't want to waste them), but I would appreciate any suggestions!

This might be a weird question, but I was just wondering if anybody has taken the LSAT at the Texas A&M Commerce location. I am real big on environment so I was wondering if anybody could tell me if it is somewhat loud, if we are sitting in super close proximity with other people, if it was cold, etc. I would like to try to simulate my prep-test environments to what it will be like on the day of - I get distracted very easily with noise, closeness to people, and cold temperatures so I wanted to try to train myself to be ready. Sorry if this is weird!

Maybe have/do some type of study group? Idk about y'all, but I do and focus a lot better that way.

For context, I have not had testing accommodations in the past, but I have had an anxiety diagnosis for about 9 years now and am requesting 50% more time, however, I do have Kaiser Permanente, and it seems like due to their policy they aren't allowed to fill out outside/custom forms that aren't theirs. When I sent the request for my psychiatrist to fill out the qualified professional form, they instead sent me a "psychological disability form", which just shows the diagnosis + date, limitations on life activities (concentration/test stress management), as well as the current medications I'm taking for this. Would it be enough to just submit this document + explaining that it is out of my control that my healthcare provider is unable to fill out the qualified professional form. Anyone has a similar experience with Kaiser, what did you do? any advice?

Disclaimer - I have not taken the LSAT yet so please correct me if I’m mistaken in believing it is only offered in a digital format barring some accommodation.

How are we supposed to parse out grammar when the exams are on a screen? I’ve read only text size and line spacing can be adjusted. Are we expected to mentally draw and remember 7 sets of parenthesis and arrows? Drawing on top of the questions and answer choices is extremely helpful for me.

Please let me know about your experiences and if we are able to draw and mark up questions like in the lesson videos. Thanks!

Not sure if there are many people who have already solved this PT but would really appreciate the opportunity to pick your brains regarding this question.

I initially chose D. My reasoning was that looking at mortality patterns with other animals could perhaps reinforce or weaken the idea that more full grown male horse bones = people rode horses. What if mortality patterns of domesticated goats living with the Botai also shows that they had more full-grown males, thus also going against the typical pattern for domesticated animal usage? What if the Botai people just really love male animals? Basically my reasoning was that looking at mortality patterns of other animals could be a point of comparison.

I guess the weakness to my reasoning is that even if goats or other animals go against the typical hypothesis re: domesticating animals, the hypothesis regarding domestication of horses could still be true? So in essence it may not be a good point of comparison and may not yield any information to evaluate the hypothesis? I'm not sure, just trying to pick holes in my reasoning.

I also tried to reason for A: So I'm thinking this is a way for the author to evaluate whether the presence of more male bones than female bones is good enough evidence for the conclusion. If more bones show signs of being gnawed on or something, it could maybe weaken the claim that the Botai people rode horses.

Am I on the right track with A? What do you think regarding my explanation for D?

You guys, this is my new mantra. So simple, but so hard to grasp. I've been watching videos of terrified me ~ staring at answer choices for way too long and hesitating for what looks like an eternity ~ and it hit me! If we do all the work upfront, then the questions will fly by. JY has told us this, but we have to live it and learn it. This mantra may just save my ass on June 3. All together now, "If we do all the work upfront, then the questions will fly by!"

I’d like to print out all the modules to organize them into a binder for easier access and review. However, I’m having difficulty finding an efficient way to do this. Printing each page individually seems like it would take an extraordinary amount of time.

What’s most important to me is being able to print out the diagrams, as there doesn’t seem to be any way to do so currently. Is there a solution that would allow me to print or at least convert the diagrams (and ideally the modules) into a PDF?

With the new LSAT changes, which PTs are being used for question drills, and which ones are completely clean for full PTs?

I've seen that 7sage recommends taking old PTs first, but I've already done a lot of drills that uses questions from all the old PTs. Should I still do a full PT for tests I know a few answers to?

my permanent address will be changing next month but I am trying to request letters of recommendation sooner than that- once i update to my new address the address printed on the request form will be outdated- will that be a problem for my admission process?

Scored my PT average on everything except RC. I was 6 pts below my PT RC which resulted in me being 3 pts below the score I wanted. I feel like on test day I just second guess everything about the passage and end up reading it over and over. Any tips/strategies?

As I am drilling various question types, I have noticed a pattern in how I'm getting questions wrong. My main strategy with LR is that I drill the questions I need to work on most and slowly increase the difficulty. I was drilling specific flaw/ descriptive reasoning questions and as I'm getting to the 4/5 level difficulty questions I have noticed the AC have become very abstract. Even though I'm getting the assumptions right, and understanding the stimulus and where I have to look I'm still struggling to make sense of what they mean and often times that is why I end up picking the wrong AC.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could practice this specific drill? Or any ideas of how to improve this skill?

I feel like there's something wrong. I finished 7sage's LR curriculum, drilled, took practice tests, and I never scored higher than my diagnostic. In fact, I only scored between 157 and 162 on my practice tests preceding the official test. To be fair, I introduced BR very late to my study process. But I feel like it's odd that I didn't at least stumble into a higher score based on rote practice and familiarity.

Does anyone have thoughts about how to proceed for the October exam? Should I hunker down, focusing on PTs and blind review? Should I consider a different program? A private tutor? Stop studying and hope my intuition marinates over that time (JK)?

Not sure if "taking a cut" is exactly how the policy works. I've heard having a BL summer associate salary will affect how you receive need-based aid, or that the salary is not fully yours.

I heard this a while back about Harvard and then again on social media a couple weeks ago about Harvard, YLS, and Stanford. I don't really know the specifics.

Does anyone know which law schools do this and how it works?

UNC is my dream! though, my GPA is somewhat mid i think, sittin pretty at 3.64 and i take the LSAT next weekend. i've been scoring in the low 160s, so i'm anticipating somewhere around there (if i end up with below a 160, i'm retaking- also yes i know i'm likely to do worse on the real deal but i'm being optimistic hehe). if anyone is super familiar with UNC or their admissions office, is it possible for me to get accepted? rather, is it likely? also important to note that i believe my personal statement will be quite strong, as i have quite a bit of writing experience (if that would make much of a difference). thanks!

When doing this question, I could not agree with JY's explanation no matter how many times I've heard it. I simply think his reasoning on why he eliminated answer choice A is incorrect. In absolute terms, the rain will definitely increase, because we know the proportion of precipitation as rain has also increased, so in relative terms too, rain has increased more compared to snow.

To me, this answer choice can only be eliminated because of the use of "probably" in both the answer choice and in the stimulus. How should I understand the use of probably, though?

Should I think of it as "in most cases", meaning, in more than 50% of the cases? In that case, I suppose that just like how when given A-most->B-most->C, we can't make any inferences between A and C, in this question, the two cases of "probably" disconnect the causal relationship in the argument, and therefore does not actually strengthen the argument?

What do you guys think of my reasoning, and my analysis on "probably"? The more I think about it, the more it makes sense, and I think as I was typing this out, I've convinced myself that this is the correct reasoning for eliminating A.
