In the analytics section for PTs sections are given ratings of easy, medium, difficult. I've found out that these are averaged based on the extent to which 7sagers struggle with a given section. However, isn't this meaningless since the test is designed to be standard? The range of difficulty should change much because there is no curve...thoughts?

Hey I'm working on PrepTest 33 S4 G1Q5 (among others) and I keep having issues with complicated question formats.

The general version of the wording that most trips me up is "Which of the following must be true EXCEPT" and an answers like "_____ is not 4". Individually I can deal with these, like when I have an "EXCEPT" question or negative answer choice, but together I keep going in circles.

Are there any steps I should be during to answer these questions without spending 3+ min on them?

For reference, I get -2ish on LG so I am focused on fine tuning, so skipping is something I want to avoid at this point..

So it's been awhile since I have graduated from my undergrad. My university did not have the standard 4.0 grading system and all the courses were to be graded with credit/no credit. I am trying to use Law School Predictor on 7Sage, but without knowing my numeric GPA, I am having a difficult time selecting my options. Could someone help?

Hi, I'm having an issue and was wondering if anyone else had the same/similar problem in the past and how they've dealt with it. LSAC has given me the run around and won't "formalize, or whatever" my CAS profile until the issue is resolved, so my profile is incomplete. So if you have any ideas please let me know.

Here's the situation:

LSAC has received all my official transcripts

Transcript from school A says I took class X at school C

Transcript from school B says I took class X at school B

I never attended school C

I did attend school B and took class X at school B

LSAC sees that the transcript from school A says I took class X at school C and labels school C as a school I've attended and failed to acknowledge

I tell LSAC I did not attend school C

LSAC told me that if I did not take class X at school C, then I need to have school A edit their transcript to show this fact and then I need to have them resubmit the corrected transcript to LSAC

School A is no longer a school

School A transformed into school D

School D is the custodian of school A's transcripts

School D cannot edit school A's transcripts

School C has written a "letter of non-attendance" on my behalf and I have forwarded that to LSAC

I've spoken with both people at LSAC proper and CAS, and supposedly last year when I was trying to remedy this problem, the letter of non attendance would be enough to remedy the situation (and this was after a big time sink of call after call after email). Now, I'm getting conflicting input on how to fix the situation from them, and also now they are telling me that the letter of non attendance needs to be sent directly from school C to them via snail mail and that the previously forwarded email from school C containing a scanned document with the signature of their registrar is not enough. Basically, the goal posts keep moving and I have no idea what to do from here.

Problem persists without resolution and the fixes to the problem that LSAC are giving me are literally impossible.

While I have managed to reduce greatly my incorrect ACs in RC, it is still my poorest section. So far, my approach to studying for this section has been incredibly random. I have usually only found that repetition and completing many reading comprehension sections was the best remedy to improvement. If anyone has found a helpful approach to practicing and analyzing RC questions, please let me know!

Hey everyone, i'm looking for possible advice on how to improve in LR

I've began 7sage early this year for a month and a half but had to stop due to an intense semester. But I've completed the whole CC for LR in June and I've scored well on the question sets for every question type (not extremely well on the hardest sets tho). However, when I drill LR sections (PTS 36-45) I do not do as well as I've expected to do. Currently I average -14 to -16 per 51 questions. Some problems I experience is 1- I don't understand the stimulus well (even after BR) and 2- I mismanage my time and get stuck on a question for wayyyy too long. Thus, shooting myself in the foot and ruining my chances of getting other questions right as I don't have enough time.

Now I realize that these problems are common and sound easy to overcome as I can skip those questions and focus on the ones that I understand well and can answer easily instead of wasting time. However, I want to improve drastically on this section because it's half the test and it paves a way to a higher score.

My current line of thinking is that I should focus on getting 22 questions correct (hopefully) and I should skip three to four, which would my decrease my wrong answers to 6-8. I know this is easier said than done but I've found BR to be helpful and can see myself achieving that in the following weeks.

Having said that I'd like to hear what y'all have done to improve your score in this section and what you think about my current line of thinking. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Also, if there are helpful discussion forums out there that you found helpful please link it.

For #2, we can affirm from the first paragraph that MLK was influenced by at least one work from a transcendentalist, namely MLK was influenced by David Thoreau's essay "Civil Disobedience"; the correct answer choice says as much and yet the correct answer for #7 states MLK was not at all affected by transcendentalist thought. But you can't be influenced by a transcendentalist essay (and presumably by the ideas in said essay) and then turn around and say you actually weren't impacted by transcendentalist thought. And both were talking about civil disobedience too. Isn't that a contradiction in the passage/video explanation? I was under the impression that MLK was influenced by transcendentalists, just not as much as writers previously thought.

As for answer choice C, are morality and ethics the same thing on the LSAT?

What are some trends you noticed, in terms of difficulty, between older and newer PTs? Please specify the ranges. I know that this may be subjective but there also seems to be an agreement that more recent LRs are verbose, in comparison to the older ones, for example. What other trends do you see in LR?

I know that comparative passages were introduced after PT52 - are there other trends in RC that I should be aware of? What about LG?

I have been studying for the LSAT for over a year now and August will be the last time I take it. My $99 Law Hub membership expires in 5 days (It is very annoying that LSAC started making people pay for this last year). Given that I will only be needing to use LSAT material for at most 3 more weeks, I cannot afford to pay another $99 just to stop using 7sage and Law Hub after the August test.

Does anyone have any ideas on if there is any way to only pay a fraction of the $99? I never applied for fee waivers, so I would not be able to get one for the subscription. Any advice is much appreciated!

I am applying to law school this fall and I have one professor that I know can write me a letter of rec but I need to get another professor so I was planning on asking one of my professors that I will have this upcoming semester - has anyone here ever asked a current professor for a letter of rec even though the semester was not over yet? And if you did, how early in the semester did you ask? I would like to apply to law schools by the latest end of November.

I am looking for a study buddy in Sacramento, California for in-person study and discussions. My PT scores are in the low 150s. My lowest scores are in the AR (Logic Games) section. If I don't time myself, I find that I do much better. Speed seems to be my worst barrier in Logic Games. I love LR section and have achieved quite some milestone. Hi everyone,

My reading comp score has been the same for a while now. It won't go up or down it just stays the same. Can someone recommend some helpful tips on how to be more successful with reading comp? Perhaps there are certain strategies I can implement from the reasoning section in order to help me eliminate wrong answers in reading comp? Please advise! Thank you as always for all your help!

Is any one here getting an "upload speed" issue ? It says that my upload speed is bellow minimum requirement. The issue appears randomly for a few minutes. Any idea what's going on ? I know we can't write the test if we don't meet the speed requirement.
