Hi! I got an email from Washington inviting me to a virtual interview. I scored higher than their L75 and have a 3.92 GPA. I'm pretty worried about my performance in interviews. Will they get mad and reject me because I decline the interview?

Also, does this mean I'm doing bad in my essays? Many thanks.

Hey everyone, I am just trying to understand how the LSAT writing section works. Is it something that is optional or do most schools require it?

I didn’t ask him to but one of my recommenders sent me the letter that he submitted for me. In the letter he says things like “she will excel at any law school she attends” and “it would be a mistake for any law school to not accept her” which make it sound like a good letter to use for all schools. However, he works at Harvard law school and in the letter he said “I would love to be able to have her in my class again at Harvard Law School”. Can I still submit this to all law schools? My numbers make it very unlikely that I will get into Harvard law school and my top choice is BC. Will it be bad for BC to know I am also applying to Harvard?

I usually just run with the rules that I write down on my first read, but sometimes I make those silly mistakes. I also don’t want to waste too much time rereading the rules either before setting things up because right now I am still slow to complete games.

I guess it’s better to double-check because I would waste more time completing a game with incorrect rules and still get questions wrong. Ideally this is what I should be doing.

Honestly, I am just curious to see what everyone else does. Has it been a habit for you to double check your rules after writing them down or do you just read once and GOGOGO?

hi, if anyone had insight i had a question.

if i were to apply with my current score by december to schools i believe i can get into, but wanted to retake in january, would those schools hold off on looking at my application? because i do want to apply now but am thinking about retaking in january to see if i can get a higher score to potentially negotiate scholarships. is this something i can email schools that i am interested in and ask them about? do you know if it is possible for me to ask them to review my application as is with my current score and not wait for my january result?

thank you!

Hey all,

I took the November Flex and scored a 155. I am not sure if I should delete the score (since it was my first time taking it and I paid the extra money for the option). It is important to note that I took the Nov. Flex when I was positive for Covid-19 and running a fever so I think my score would have been higher otherwise.

Also, looking for study partners for the Jan Flex test--any takers?

I bombed the Aug-Sept LSAT and I'm register for the January test. I've using 7Sage, along with Mike Kim's book, Kaplan, and free tutoring from varies sites. I'm looking for people who can help work and understand together. I mean like daily prep during the weekdays since I work during the weekends. I was scoring in the mid 150s to low 160s a few times, but my score and understanding isn't where I wanted to be.

I'm honestly a little sad today, I got back my November LSAT score and it was around 20 points lower than what I was scoring and what my goal was. I think that last time I got a score this bad was when I was starting out and when I didn't have any knowledge of the test. Just one big fail.

I signed up for January and I'm just going to pick up where I left off. Any tips?

I'm feeling a little discouraged.

How does one get better at designing their CLIR? This isn’t 7Sage related per say but a few folks here have used or do use Loopholes by Ellen Cassidy and I need help on designing my CLIRs. It’s so hard to answer my “WHAT IF”. I can outline the conclusion, and categorize but I just get lost when I have to connect the dots. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all,

Canadian LSAT taker here.

So my first LSAT score wasn't really ideal (154) and I'm hoping that with the help of 7Sage this time I can get a better score. My question is, do you see any harm in applying this cycle given the fact that the application deadline for my top choice is on Dec 2nd? Even if I get a good score, do I even have a chance or is it too late since admission offers are sent out on a rolling basis?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ❤️

So I took both the October and November LSATs, in October I got a 155 and Nov I got a 150. I'm trying to decide what to do now. Should I sign up for the January LSAT and take that to get my score higher? Or should I apply with my score now. For reference I am applying to schools in D.C., Boston, Utah, and California. Some people have told me to email admissions offices and ask them what I should do. Is that the best course of action? Thanks!

Has anyone experienced a significant drop in their rewrite???! I’m in complete disbelief. I was scoring 150s leading up to test day and for the last few months and did not sleep well the night before the November lsat. Still, I thought I managed alright and was expecting a modest 148 increase with my terrible sleep. I woke up this morning to see 144...I don’t know what to do. I have already finished the 18 applications I wanted this year and feel like I am now a complete reject for all law schools because of this dip. I was honestly expecting a 150 which could’ve very well made my chances okay due to my extra curriculars. If I rewrite, January will constitute my 4th rewrite. Any advice?? I’m just so upset with myself. The lsat is not how my brain works. I understand my scores sucks to a lot of people, but I have an extensive discretionary background that got me waitlisted at 4/13 schools I applied to last year with a 146. But now this...I’m contemplating whether I can even come out of this with any hope. Even if I get 150+ in January. I feel as though schools will view the dip negatively...

Hello everyone! It has been months since I came back to 7sage :)

I was preparing for LSAT for three months earlier this year, but I did not have enough improvement as much as I wanted ( I was too hasty), tried to get help somewhere else, and had a really bad experience there. -- I learned how important it is to be in an inclusive community after being shout at my face that I don't deserve anything... I needed to take a break at that point.

Now, I want to studying LSAT again after putting aside all the bad memories.

Do you have any advise for getting back? Probably start with the core curriculum again?

At the end, I just want to believe myself that I deserve to be whatever I want.

I hope you do so too :)

My June-Flex score was a 167, my most recent november was a 156. I was really sick on the day of the test, but based off of what everyone said on forums that I looked up everyone was just saying don't cancel it or whatever. Could this significantly hurt my chances at some schools? I'm applying to some top 20 schools. Also would writing an addendum help in this situation?

Congrats to everyone receiving their scores and no matter what, we made it through! I also received my score today but I am a little bummed because I wanted a higher score. I wanted to come on here because I don't really know what to do. I got a 161 and I have a 3.88 gpa, my top school is BU and I am below their median but scholarship money is something I really need. However, I did some googling and saw that people were accepted and offered money with my similar stats. Should I go through this all again by taking the Jan Lsat or should I take my chances?

Hi all, I'm disappointed to see I scored two points lower on my Nov re-take (first take in Oct). Anyone else scored lower this time around? It's so weird because I honestly thought I did at least a point or two better...

I know admissions takes highest score but does our lower score ding us in some way? I feel like it looks kinda bad not to do better with even more study time. Dang!

I signed up for the LSAT in Jan but it made me sign up for a physical testing site. I'm assuming they'll circle back because its Flex. How does this work? Do I just wait until LSAC emails me? Any idea when that'll be?
