LR

I had 3 LR sections; two of them had 26 questions and one of them had 25. In my experience that means that one of the sections with 26 questions was experimental. Can anybody who only had 2 LR confirm that one section had 25 and the other had 26?

One of my LR sections with 26 questions had its very first question regarding loggerhead turtles. Trying to figure out if that was real or experimental. Can anyone recall if they had that question?

Thanks!

Rachel

For those taking the exam tomorrow, you are going to own it. Know you will own it. Be confident; approach every question with the mindset of "I will get this question correct." Trust yourself.

Tonight, relax. Go see a movie; get a good nights sleep. Tomorrow night, celebrate.

So I'm sitting for tomorrow, and looked at my ticket. I saw on the LSAC site that the photo must fill the 2x2 box. By looking at my picture, my photo fills the box 2 inches vertically, but only and inch and a half vertically. Is this something to lose my shit about????

UC Berkeley application resume description - "The resume may be of any length and should provide chronological information about your work experiences, *travels*, and accomplishments".

Travels? Do they really want a bulletpoint list of the countries I've travelled to? or some sort of story about how traveling broadened my horizons o.O

This specific professor is my second referee for my OLSAS (I haven't added him yet). Almost 10 years ago, he had a little problem with the government in Canada at the time (no charges) and this can be found when typing his name into a google search. I know he is going to write me a great LOR, but I'm wondering if having him as my referee will hurt me in any way? Do law schools look into the referees? I'm not sure what to think of this situation.

I have a few questions for the regular BR folks. I think I need to implement these BR calls into my studies if only to keep me on track with PT. I've only attended maybe 2 calls because I didn't feel like I was benefiting. Not that the group is useless, it's just that I was having a hard time following I guess. I'll explain because that didn't even may sense as I was typing it. When I complete the test I come to the BR session with the questions that I've circled and still had issues with during my own BR. This is where my issue begins. When going over my question with the group I have no idea what or why I was thinking what I was thinking during the PT or BR. Going over the stimulus and AC seem rushed because you can't hold up everybody for 5 mins on your question especially if you're the only one with an issue on that question. Eventually someone tells you why the right AC is right, but I'm not able to digest that at that moment. Yes I could write down why I chose my AC and read that during the session but I just have a hard time truly comprehending the right and wrong AC when I don't really remember the stimulus. Does this sound similar for anyone else? What do the regulars do to prepare for BR calls?

Are we supposed to only bring ONE item? (ie banana, energy bar, etc)

I want to bring a banana, some chocolate pieces, and a CLIF bar.

I am getting slightly paranoid before this test.

I have never worn a watch or checked on my time when taking a PT. I always thought it would throw me off my game and distract me to check on the time. Now I am taking the LSAT tomorrow and seeing everyone say they're going to wear a watch. Need advice on whether I should go out and buy one or not. Also I feel like my test center may have a clock on the wall. During the LSAT do the proctors write on the board what time we start and stop a section at?

I am surprised to learn that we have a number of limitations on how we can use the purchased PTs from LSAC. Basically, no copying, no reselling, etc. Have anyone considered the first sale doctrine for copyrighted material. "The first sale doctrine, codified at 17 U.S.C. § 109, provides that an individual who knowingly purchases a copy of a copyrighted work from the copyright holder receives the right to sell, display or otherwise dispose of that particular copy, notwithstanding the interests of the copyright owner." So, I am curious why this doctrine does not apply in the context of the Practice Tests!?

So I have heard the first 10 questions are easiest and you should just pick the ans. you think correct without seeing other choices bc correct ans is so obvious...

Is this still true today?

And if so on average how long do you take per question in this range?

Thanks

Some standardized test score disappear after 5 yrs right? Is it true for LSAT?

I heard we can take it 3 times within 5 yrs...is it because they reset test scores?

How do they calculate this?

Like, if people take it for 4 times...does that mean it took them more than 5 years for LSAT?

I was just wondering if it's possible to apply to different law schools with different LSAT scores? For example, hypothetically, can i apply to a school with a 160 for example early in the application process because i know a 160 will be good enough BUT then apply later in the application process with a 170 score to a different school? I'm asking to see if i can apply to my back up schools with a lower score early in the process to make sure i get in and receive scholarships while still having the chance to apply to the better schools later on in the application process if i improve my LSAT score.

When I took the Feb. 2016 LSAT, I had to answer questions about how familiar I am with technology and how comfortable I would feel taking an exam on the computer vs. on paper instead of the normal questions they ask about how we prepared for the LSAT etc. I thought that was interesting but then said to myself, "I hope the LSAT doesn't turn into the MCAT by taking the exam on the computer." Can you imagine taking this almost 4 hour exam on a computer?!

Hey everyone,

I notice that the the video explanations do a thorough job in explaining why the correct answer is indeed correct and why the other answer choices are incorrect. Although I find that very useful to study, when it comes to doing the PTs, I obviously don't have that much time. I'm wondering if there is any resource available that demonstrates what exactly a Sage is thinking in real-time when they are answering a question in the limited time available. Are there any videos/webinars of someone taking a full PT and thinking out loud what their thought-process is to answer the questions as quickly as possible?

Thanks

I am getting a LOR from my college band director. On the LOR form, it asks for recommender contact information, including an address. Do I put the address of the band hall, for example, or do I have to obtain the house address of the recommender?

I did som RC sections today untimed and it was like...around -10.

I'm sure I will make more mistakes if it is timed...

This is seriously my weakest section.

How to improve RC? I read some prep books, and they recommend to take notes, but not sure I have time to do so...

What kind of things are you doing for preparing for RC? Just read&do questions?

Thanks,
