having to fully get meta in my thinking, as in stopping and literally asking myself "what am I thinking/drawn to/ignoring?" and going step by step on what assumptions are being made. as of now it's a slow process, but with time it'll become implicit. team we got this

"only" in group 2 vs "the only" in group 1 is cruel and unusual

i could be totally off base, but unless = "if not" was mentioned earlier right? so "blackouts will occur if not the heat wave abates" (disgusting but helpful to see) is the actual statement here. The sentence then becomes "If the heat wave does not abate, then blackouts will occur"

@Daniel.p3raza i'd recommend slowing down a bit! esp while i'm still learning i'm making sure to think of examples for each option and/or switching it to an if/then statement. so, for example, number 4 would either be "If you are an italian plumber, then you can fly while wearing a raccoon suit" or "if you can fly while wearing a raccoon suit, then you are an italian plumber." In this case, the second would be correct, because some italian plumbers (i.e. mario and luigi) can surely fly while wearing raccoon suits, but not all italian plumbers can fly while wearing raccoon suits. the second option clarifies that "only" portion of the conditional

finished number 5 and accidentally clicked for the correct answer to number 4. was soooooo confused when my answer about unscheduled cruise ships was wrong based on the grounds of italian plumbers

Oh man got 2/3, then 3/3 on BR. Totally misread the third answer. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. gotta take my own advice

@IVM781 Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Before using 7sage i read through the Powerscore books, and one thing they covered was the importance of pacing yourself based on your accuracy. If taking your time to complete 16/26 LR questions means you get all 16 of those you worked on right, but rushing through all 26 means you make little mistakes and get only 14/26 right, then taking your time is worth it in the long run. Speed will come; practice for accuracy first!!

@MatthewNislein0902 100%. My understanding of concessions are that, by pointing out a flaw (kind of like you might do in an argumentative paper you write) you make it seem that that flaw isn't enough to outweigh the evidence you provided. If Eminem's opponent would've then said the exact same stuff about him right after Eminem just did, it would largely get a weaker response to it than had he said it first. First dibs, if you will. Whoever says the thing first gets the credit, and if the person arguing for a different position says the weakness before the other side can, that side damn well better have more evidence or they're going to look a lot weaker than the defense
