Does anybody have suggestions on how to study for the last 50 days before test day. I've been studying 3-4 hrs a day everyday following my syllabus. When I finish with the program which will be within the next two weeks what should I do. Besides PT, does anyone have recommendations on a good physical book I can buy for extra studying materials?

Hi guys:

I just took the July LSAT-Flex, and am concerned I didn't do very well. I know that sometimes you think you did badly, and you end up doing well so I am deciding whether or not it is worth it to cancel. I don't necessarily feel like I bombed it, but I feel very uneasy and not great about it. It could be because its my first time taking it. I also took the test with COVID and am wondering if law schools would consider this. I am also registered for August (October if necessary). Do you think I should cancel, or just see what score I get? I am very confident I will do better on my next test. Just wondering what the best option is at this point. Is it better to get a low score potentially and have law schools see you improve, or just cancel the score right away?

Hello there,

My name is Fermin, I’m Combat Veteran. I e served the U.S. Army for 11 years as Infantryman, reached the rank of Staff Sergeant and held all leadership positions within the Infantry Platoon, up to the Platoon Sergeant Position. Wondering why I didn’t go for 20 years when I was so closed? Well that was my plan but then my first daughter was born and changed me, for the good.

I’m now embarking into the process of (1) getting my application together, my statement, letters of recommendations and finally I will taking the LSAT next June (2021, aiming at starting Spring 2022).

I don’t know any one else around me that wants to go to Law School, let alone a Veteran.

Just seeing if there any fellow Veterans here. If there aren’t any then this thread may become the rally point.

Thank you.

Curious what everyone is using in conjunction with 7Sage? I am steadily making my way through all of the lessons but feel as though I need a bit more reinforcement. What does everyone reccomend that has made the biggest difference in terms of score gain?

hello,

im wondering if the 170+ers out there have any tips on how to improve speed and accuracy for LR and RC. i can comfortably get 170+ untimed, but under timed conditions, i tend to feel rushed and my score dips into the low 160s. i started studying about two and a half months ago and have taken about 5-7 PTs, but no significant improvements in my actual score. would super duper appreciate any tips!

thanks!

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone has ever experience this before, but is it possible to defer law school by a year and during that one-year deferral, apply for JD/MBA? I was supposed to attend Penn Law this coming fall, but I'm thinking of deferring and applying for MBA during my one-year deferral (goal is to do 3 year JD/MBA program)...if anyone has any input, that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I experienced technical problems during my LSAT-Flex today. My proctor instructed me to quit the test and contact LSAC for rescheduling. I followed my proctor's instruction. The LSAC staff helped me reschedule to October (since there is no longer availability for July; I already registered for the August test). Everything was good except I later found the status of my July take had been marked as "Candidate Cancel". I called them again, and they explained to me that this was because I was exposed to the test questions and they had to mark it as "candidate cancel". Did any of you have similar situation? What did you get?

Hi all. I just signed up and entered my answers for a test I had already completed on Lawhub. I then went through that full test again on Lawhub, blind review style. How do I enter my blind review results? Currently it just says my blind is the same as my score. Thanks for the help!

Hi all! I am taking the July test on Tuesday, which will be my third time sitting for a test. I took it in Sept '18 (happy with score but knew I could do better) and sat for Nov '18 but ultimately decided to cancel that one. Now I am considering registering for August as a sort of security blanket, if you will. My thought is that if I like the score I get on July 30, I will just withdraw from August. So my question is, will it reflect poorly on my law school apps that I withdrew from August? I know I will be out $200 (which sucks), but my main concern is how it might make me look to an admissions committee. Any and all insights are appreciated, and good luck to anyone else taking the July test this week!

Started off the test with the proctorU persons password not working and didn’t get the password for 40 min so I just sat there. Then the session disconnected 2x during the actual test and had to reshow all my stuff and go through that process again. I’m worried if I should cancel my score BC I don’t feel very good about it, or just suck it up bc I’m prob only taking it 2 more times anyways...thoughts?

Has anyone taken a flex test on an iPad? I’m sitting the August test and have heard of some issues with MacBook Air. I’ve never experienced any issues with digital PT’s on the iPad and am mostly worried about a slow down with ProctorU.

Thank you!

Hi 7Sage!

After doing my 5th Practice Test (PT 38) and doing horribly on Logic Games, I was wondering if doing and foolproofing logic games from PT 1-35 is the right course of action to improve my logic games score? Did anyone else do this? I'm sure it took a lot of time. I was planning on taking the August LSAT but my logic games score under timed conditions is horrendous.

Thanks!

Dear fellow 7Sagers,

I've taken the LSAT three times now. I took it cold in 2017 June (PT 81) without every seeing an LSAT material and got a 151 (stupid, I know). I never touched the LSAT again until 2020 where I took it in May (169) and in June (171). However, these are below my PT average of 173. My section averages can be RC -1 to -3, LR -1 to -3, and LG -0.

The problem that I've noticed in the LSAT is struggling in section while doing great in the other two. In May, I felt like I aced the RC and LG but then in the LR, I somehow forgot how to read and had 8 flags before time ran out. In June, I felt like I killed LG and LR but was completely destroyed by the prescriptive vs descriptive and especially the sunken ships passages in the RC.

My question is that how can I ensure that I am able to perform in all sections regardless of difficulty? I usually don't run into this issue in my PTs. Is this a common issue during a take? I've done almost every PT above 50 and drilled 10-49 during the CC and warm-up drills.

I'm taking the August Flex for my 4th time in order to hit my average or above. Thank you for your time.

I'm currently scheduled to take the Flex on Tuesday and had a question about the highlight function. I've been practicing reading comp passages without highlighting after reading stories about what a disaster it is to use on the digital LSAT. However, I tried using the highlighter on one of the practice exams posted on LawHub and it seems to be working fine (using Chrome on a Mac). Has anyone tried using the feature on the actual Flex and know how reliable it is/whether I should attempt to use it when I take the test?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone knows if mechanical (number 2) pencils are allowed for the LSAT flex? I'm taking it Tuesday and want to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible. Also, if there are any other rules/materials that people ran into trouble with so far on the Flex, I would love to know. Thanks in advance!

So I have a PC, and with no built in microphone. What I'm wondering is if I'm able to use my headphones(Arctis5) to speak with the proctor and then just put it down during the test? How much do I really need to speak with the proctor during the test? And do they tell me stuff through voicechat? Or can it be done by chatting? Thanks.

First time posting here, I just bought the 7Sage Course. So I started prepping for the LSAT two months ago using the LSAT Trainer, and I noticed after my 4th PT test that my score hasn't changed much at all--it went from 151 to 155 to 156 to 153 today. But, I blind review'ed my LR section today and scored a -1 while in the realtime test I scored -9 for that section. Does this mean I improved? Why is it that during real time tests, I am performing so much worse? Is a two-month time period too short to expect improvement?

I'm feeling rather lost and down--I'd appreciate any tips or insights you guys can share...Thanks guys.

Any tips for getting faster at R.C? I've been stuck with only getting through 2/4 passages for a few months now. I started reading the Economist, and it's helped, but I still feel like there's something that's holding me back from getting through this section.

Was curious to see what most peoples comparative passage RC strategy was. I used to read both passages and then go to the questions, but have since been trying the J.Y. method of reading the 1st passage, seeing what you can deduce in the answer, and then reading the second passage and going back to the questions. How many people do the former, and how many people do the latter (the J.Y. strategy)? I think there is a lot of value in the J.Y. strategy but also notice it usually takes more time to do so and ultimately takes away time from the other passages.

Would love to hear other peoples thoughts! Thanks in advance.

Help!! I would like to withdraw from the July LSAT-Flex today this weekend, but there is no button available on the LSAC website account to do so, and the LSAC website says that withdrawing is permissible up until 11:59 PM EST the night before the test (July 11).

I understand this is terribly irresponsible and I should not be doing so this late but I wanted to ask if there was a way to withdraw?? The LSAC website doesn't have a button available under "eligible to withdraw" and I sent them an email but they probably won't respond because it's Friday night.

Should I withdraw on Proctor U?

LSAT Materials

I see that on LSAC they say you can have two number two pencils. Does this mean that pen is not allowed? If so does proctor U check your scrap paper after the test? I am really an anti pencil person.
