I have taken PT 81,68,80, 66 & 79. Are there any recommendations which ones I should include these last few weeks? I generally take one every other day. Thanks - (I'll cross post this)

I am a little confused about the weak answer and strong answer choice in necessary assumption question. So it said in the CC that we should always look for weak answer choice, and most strong answer choices are wrong when it comes to NA question.

But sometimes I also see strong answer choice as the correct answer. For example, PT 24 Section 2, Q17. The AC B : "no nation that was not among the major powers at the end of the second world war would become a major power"

Is this a strong language AC? So in a situation we should focus on weak/strong language AC?

Thank you!

Hey Guys,

Im looking for a study partner or group. I have been study for about a month, but I did take the May LSAT FLex (140). I have definitely been slacking in study because of lack of motivation. I would like us to keep each other motivated and also give each other tips and tricks. I also live in NY, your location doesn't matter to me because we can also DM or email each other. Cant wait to talk to some of you!

Just wanted to post as possible inspiration and as a thank you to JY and the entire 7sage community! When I first started studying I remember seeing people post things online that claimed to not anticipate an increase of over 10 points from your initial diagnostic; know that is completely untrue. If it wasn't for my intense, I mean, INTENSE lack of desire to take a gap year I would probably skip this cycle and keep at it for the 170. The test is absolutely learnable as long as you put in the work and you have patience with your brain as it learns how to process information in the way the test writers are looking for. I will be re-testing in an attempt to solidify my score in the 90th percentile (that insane RC and 4 hours of sleep really did me in on test day LOL). But I just wanted to say congratulations to all who completed this test during such a crazy year. If you feel yourself wanting to reach out don't hesitate to message me!

I know this is a great score, but my average for PTs was 176 so I was hoping for one a bit higher on test day. I know I messed up the LG on the June test which is usually a perfect section for me.

I want to retake, the only thing holding me back is the idea that some of the top schools like Harvard will be irritated if you retake a score that's already at their median. I've been studying so hard for this to make up for a lack of prestige for my undergraduate college and decent, but not amazing, softs.

My gut tells me I want to retake it because I think I can do better. I've also heard that getting a higher score could get you more scholarship money to lower T14s.

What do you all think? Should I retake it?

Cold diagnostic in April 2019 was 142, after over a year of studying solely with 7Sage (on and off due to working full time) I snagged a 169 with the June FLEX. Kudos to 7Sage for making such an affordable, effective studying platform.

Scored 163 after completing the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim, with 7Sage LG videos that were freely available back in February. I realized then I needed a better resource that could help me practice more methodically, and that's when I subscribed to 7Sage. 4 months have past since, and I got my 173 today! Thanks 7Sage

Hi all!

I'm looking for someone who wants to communicate regularly about progress/questions--someone who will keep me on track and motivated. I work full time so most communication would have to happen online, but I can guarantee that I'll be a reliable partner!

For context, I've been studying for about a year. I'm planning on taking the August test.

Those of you who were able to close a consistent 10+ point gap in your actual/BR score to break to the mid 170s, what would you recommend focusing on?

Sample of recent PT/BR scores: 170/178, 167/178, 170/180, 165/179, 166/176, 168/180. Edit: since posting 169/180, 166/177

My range on all sections is -0 to -3ish except games which I can swing a -1 on a solo timed section about 60% of the time. On a PT I'll usually do -5 to -7.

Current areas of focus based on analytics:

Timing/skipping strategies.

More exposure to difficult questions under time.

Conditional logic under time.

Grouping games

Games under time.

I think the primary issue is an insufficient volume of timed work as my actual test scores have been consistently lower at 162 for may and 163 for june. While games is obviously the biggest killer for me and there's not a lot of detail here, I was just looking for any general considerations I may have blatantly overlooked as I work to close this gap. I do see a few threads on closing BR gaps... am reading through this one: https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/2520. But also looking for any considerations which might be specific to my score range.

Edit 8/8: still working on this. Trend has continued with a 169/180, 166/177. I've continued to work games, now having done everything from PT 14 up at least once with a -0. Redoing a lot of the timed mini sets in the CC. Haven't been able to increase volume of timed PTs due to family all being cooped up in the house.

Still looking at the same areas of focus, and more broadly, just applying known strategies under time i.e. sticking to the plan after getting punched in the face. I'm exploring video of PT takes, but haven't settled on a way to record both the digital interface what I write on paper.

Does anyone have experience with a tutor that can help address these issues? I've used a couple brilliant tutors here (Josh and Ben... both of whom I recommended very highly) that I've since had to discontinue due to finances... just wondering of there are any recommendations for my specific purposes before reaching out again. I'm thinking if I can get a good recording setup, I'd like someone to review video of me and work on both game-day strategies as well as fine tuning the actual question work.

I have just taken the June test and scored a 167 - I plan to take the test in August and my goal is to score 170 or better. If you are in a similar situation or have been in my shoes, what would your study plan look like? How many PTs per week should I shoot for, and how much time should I spend drilling materials/LG etc.? I plan to spend a lot of time foolproofing games as that is the largest variable in my score (on PTs I have been anywhere from -1 to -8) as well as going through the Loophole strategy. Thank you for any advice!!!

163-176

Couldn't believe my eyes today --- I scored multiple points above my recent practice test average!! I am so grateful for JY and the 7sage discussion/advice forums. Without this company, I don't think I would've stayed hopeful and dedicated through every studying plateau. Thank you a million.

Can’t believe it really happened, I had given up on the LSAT twice in the last 5 years and my last real score was a 167. Absolutely could not have pulled this off without those LG videos. Thanks J.Y.!

I started studying for the LSAT at the beginning of quarantine because corona switched up my plans and I decided to go to law school this fall. I started off with a diagnostic of 146 and felt very discouraged. However, after consistent studying I was able to score a 158 on the June Flex and have a good chance at getting into my dream school. Thank you so much 7Sage!! But I do not recommend only two months of consistent studying it was really stressful haha

Thank you 7Sage community! Could not have done this without everyone. I am so incredibly excited and relieved right now.

Everyone out there getting ready for July and August, keep at it, you got this!
