I noticed that when I add up the elapsed time for each individual question of LR sections after taking a them on 7 sage (times are available under the results page) they do not add up to the time allotted for the section (34:40/26 questions). Instead, it comes to 29 minutes or so. Is the timing section under the results page reliable?

Anyone else following this thread on Reddit? Apparently LSAC called a few people today (the day before scores are released...) who took the July Flex to tell them that their score “got lost”. I’m registered for August and am considering a move to October since there’s a coupon. What’re your thoughts?

Hi, I'm trying to re-take a PT I did several months ago on the 7sage app. Is there a way to re-take the PT without deleting my data from my initial take? (Similar to how you can make a clean version of the same problem set)

Hi 7Sage! I was wondering when law schools announced their application open dates and whether these dates remain fairly constant year to year. The 7sage admissions timeline states that many applications open early-October but I'm seeing that some applications opened as early as September 1st for the 2020 Cycle.

Any input would be welcome as I'm trying to plan out a schedule to submit my application as early as possible.

Thanks!

Any input/feedback on my approach of how to close the gap between my last four timed PTs (172, 172, 168, 168) and their associated BR scores (176, 176, 177, 177) would be much appreciated.

Timing (and also confidence in my timing) has seemed to be a big issue in RC. To mitigate this I have been doing full fresh RC sections and redoing full-RC sections (1 of each/day). I’ve been doing this for ~week now and am now much more comfortable with an full RC section. I plan to continue to just do this. And also thoroughly analyze the mistakes I make in both my repeat and fresh sections. My BR for a fresh RC section is typically -3 to -1 but seems to be a downward trend which is good so I think I’m making gains in accuracy as well.

Timing in LR is sometimes okay and sometimes not. It just seems that when I’m in a good section I can have up to 8 minutes left after giving each question an attempt. Other sections I only have 5. I don’t think I have a particular weak point in terms of a question type so my strategy here is to just get into a rhythm with taking PTs and really BR and analyze any question that gives me trouble. I don’t know if doing LR sections would be super beneficial to practice timing since it seems that my speed just tends to correlate with how good I feel in the questions. I typically make 1-2 mistake I feel like I could have avoided and fall for 2-3 curve breakers.

LG has been pretty consistent with usually -1 or -2. I never get a question wrong when I blind review the games (which I just do timed a second time) so I’m hypothesizing my issue to be with the initial setup. Also, I find that I can just make stupid mistakes (like not manipulating symbols correctly in my head). My goal here is to just continue to full-proof LGs and do full LG sets such that my speed in making inferences allows me to “buy” extra time in working out the questions so that I don’t feel as under pressure or can even write more things out. Also, after every game I think I am going to take a second and reflect on what aspects of the game mandated that specific setup; hopefully that will give me a greater comfortability in setting up a new game.

I’ve taken about 10PTs and have been studying for 6 months. Any feedback or comments from the other side if you were in a similar spot and how long it took you to reach your goal would be greatly appreciated!

I took the July test and today saw that there was "Score validity review" under the special notes column for the July test on my LSAC page. Does anyone know what that means?

I contacted LSAC and am waiting for their reply. I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some idea in the meantime. Thank you!

I started with a 152 diagnostic, and after four months, my score has fluxed between 157-162, mostly at 158-160. I need a 165 on the August LSAT, and I just feel like even though I have been working my butt off, it hasn't paid off. I feel so defeated. My biggest problem right now is Reading Comp, (-11 whereas LR is near -4 and LG hover around -5 or -6) even though it use to be my best section.

Does anyone have any tips on helping improve reading comp? I would be so happy if I could get it down to -5 or even -4

Hey guys, I was just wondering

  • Do you think October will be flex?
  • Was there anything that surprised you about flex? Was the format the same as law hub? Did anyone have any issues?
  • Any info you can provide about flex would be much appreciated just so people can know as much as possible before test day, thank you!

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm wondering if there is a way to view the question types analytics so I can see my accuracy changes over time depending on the PT. I'm trying to see if there is improvement on certain question types. Currently on my analytics it shows RRE as highest priority but that is over 10 questions and none of the 4 most recent I have gotten wrong. So I don't think that is actually an issue anymore. However, I want to make sure there are no question types that I have failed to improve on or if there are I want to be able to easily locate those types. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am really having a hard time coming up with a topic for my personal statement. I've sat down to write it probably a dozen times, and...nothing. I've tried thinking of anecdotal stories from my childhood. I've tried going the "why do I want to be a lawyer" route. I've tried thinking about the the "hardest thing I've overcome". I've tried addressing why I want to practice immigration. I'll get one paragraph out then scratch it. I'm feeling really discouraged about it. I studied 6+ months for the LSAT and brought my score up from a 149 to a 165. In some ways the LSAT seems less daunting than this personal statement. Any suggestions? Anything helps. Thanks in advance.

Here are bullet points of my life/educational background:

    Homeschooled

Community college: Earned AA (living at home)

State College for last two years (Poli-Sci degree) (Culture shock first semester as I caught up on two decades of social development)

Dept of State Internship at US Embassy in Mexico City

    Immigration Paralegal work (3yrs)

Founded my own immigration paralegal services business this year

Notes: Learned Spanish as an adult (I don't come from a Hispanic background). Now use it everyday for work. Have traveled/lived extensively in Latin America.

LSAT: Mid 160s / GPA 3.1 (Strong GPA addendum for one semester with low grades)

I'm having a bit of trouble inputting my new answers (after preptest BR) into the answer sheet- without deleting the original answers. I know there's an option to see how you do before and after BR, I just can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Anyone know how I can do this?

So my GPA in college was pretty decent (3.6 GPA) but I had some tough circumstances. Suicide of close friend and mom with cancer (She is good now). However, I ended college on an upward academic trend. Does it make sense to include these adendums to my application if my GPA was fine in college and will it help my application to include the adendums? Thank you!

Hey y'all, I just realized that LSAC scores my GPA (CAS GPA) much differently than my undergraduate GPA (uGPA) and I am very concerned when it comes to law school admissions.

My university doesn't include A+ in the grading scale so the highest possible score is an A. Because of this, my uGPA is a 3.91, but my CAS GPA is a 3.64. The fact that there is so much difference is completely horrifying and I am very scared when it comes to getting into my dream schools. My LSAT score has wavered between 160 - 163. I know that if I can get much higher, I could possibly get into my goal schools despite my CAS GPA. Either way, Im shook and spooked.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this? Should I write an addendum to clarify that my university doesn't use A+ and that skewed the results? I am not sure what to do. I would be mad appreciative of advice.

How likely do folks think it is that the October LSAT will end up being a Flex exam? I'm in Florida where the COVID situation is really bad and I don't anticipate it getting better any time soon. I'm worried that LSAC will require it be in person and if that's the case I don't think I feel comfortable given the high level of cases in FL.

If you are finished with undergrad, and you are applying Fall 2021, and you want to apply early, do NOT procrastinate submitting your transcripts to the CAS. I have been waiting for three weeks on my academic report and UGPA calculation. I am sure it will all get sorted out, but I would hate for anyone to be starting this process mid-September and waiting for this to come through.

I just had my transcript sent to LSAC and my school confirmed that they sent it, but my LSAC account says it still doesnt have it. Does it take a little while to go through or should I be doing something?
